If you like authentic Mexican food this is not the place. The carne Asada looks and tastes like ground beef and the potato taco which I didn’t think you could go wrong with was a pre frozen hash brown and tasted like fish. Save your money and Skip this place, any drive through will do you better.

Prefer Rubios! Tortillas are too moist and fried fish could be more battered. Halfway through the burrito, I was kinda sick of their coleslaw because it was really drenched. I couldn’t taste anything else besides the white sauce.

I love their Lupe’s mistake burrito! Its soooooooo good!!! &&& I love their packaged hot sauce!!! Jalapeño hot sause is the bomb! Service isn’t that friendly but not bad! Only thing I don’t like is their burrito wrapper!!! –the paper kind– it smells weird and my tortilla tastes like it afterwards! So I always ask them not to use the paper wrapper! I want one now!!! So yummy!

My churro was good. My sons California burrito was cold but ok. The thing that really grossed me out was the woman chopping tomatoes wasn’t wearing plastic gloves. Disgusting. I’ll never go back again for that reason

This has to be one of the worst meals we have had in awhile. While service was ok, the food is just unacceptable, so much worse than Taco Bell, I can’t imagine how they have been around for so long. We went with pretty much one of everything and every single thing was inedible, from the fish tacos, to the potato tacos, the fried chicken, the quality is worse than the cheapest items out of your grocers freezer, no fresh salsa, just packaged food in the worst quality ever, huge waste of money as well tossed everything after one bite.

I stopped here fairly frequently, and I almost always get the carne asada burrito with potatoes. It is consistently good, and is not as busy as I would expect given the quality.

I was feeling the need of rolled tacos w/guac. These were the worst I’ve ever had. The guac was watery and runny. Barely any cheese. Will never go back.

Today I was surprised to find this place behind a gas station. We had a few minutes before our next call and my coworker tells me he has never been here but thinks there is a taco place. Sure enough we come in and there is a surf video and some boards for decoration. I had the shrimp burrito and it was really good. My coworker had the«famous fish tacos» and he was pretty happy with them. I had the green salsa an it was pretty good too. This place is kinda tucked out of the way. If i were in the area, I would certainly come by but I dont think I would not go there otherwise. Not because its bad but because there are a lot of options for fish taco, shrimp, etc.

Pedro’s fish tacos are the best around. We usually go to the one in San Clemente but we tried the Oceanside location. Don’t let its juxtaposition with a gas station food mart dissuade you. The portions are generous. One taco will be plenty for light eaters. I usually go for two tacos — a fish taco and either a carne asada or grilled chicken taco. The tacos are perfection. Double corn tortillas that are fresh and cooked correctly. Ever have a corn tortilla crack awkwardly? Yup, well that won’t happen here. I’ve also had the vegetarian burrito which I totally loved. I know good tacos… Pedros have them. ‘Nuff said.

Way too much salt, beware !!! Toxic beans not even eatable with the amount of salt in them, rice completely flavorless, super surprised they were busy after one bite of the food.

I am so disappointed with how much the quality of the food has declined here since 2013. Everything tastes bland and soulless. I ordered the Rudy’s Crazy Invention burrito and it was rolled up horribly, most of the filling falling out as I took the first bite. There was barely any meat in it, and it just didn’t taste like it was thoughtfully put together at all. The rice and beans sides had no real flavor as well. I won’t be returning to eat here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone – it’s just not good anymore.

I have always driven by this place on the 76 highway many times. I finally decided to stop in and check it out. I got the chicken burrito which was pretty tasty! It was basically chicken tenders with cabbage and some white sauce. It was really tasty with some hot sauce. I would totally come back and eat here again and check out some other items on the menu!

This place is more like Taco Bell. No salsa bar. Microwave carne asada taco. Fish taco is a joke. Worse tacos ever.

I’ve been a fan of Pedro’s at their original location in San Clemente and just happen to drive by this location. Well, there is no way I can drive by a Pedro’s and not stop by and pick up some incredibly tasty burritos! It’s small but has a nice big drive thru, yet surprisingly this one was not packed. The original store in San Clemente has a line that makes it look like an In N Out Burger! But good for me no line. I ordered up my usual of a Bean & Cheese burrito and Carne Asada Burrito and I got their taco sauce to top them off. I took them home and live half an hour away but when I got home they were still hot and fresh. They wrap all the burritos in foil to keep them warm and it works great. The bean and cheese burrito comes with freshly made, homemade refried beans and just the right amount of cheese that comes out a bit each time you take a bite. The tortillas they use are also fresh and soft. Simply one of the best bean & cheese burrito’s in SoCal. The carne asada, like the bean & cheese, is one of the best in SoCal. The meat is fresh, tender, spicy with just the right amount of onions and fresh guacamole all wrapped up into a fresh soft tortilla you would swear they made themselves that day. Another great thing about their burritos is the size. I love a good burrito but most taco places make them big enough for two people and after you’ve eaten it, food coma sets in. The burrito’s from Pedro’s are about half the size(and half the price) but with all the freshness and great ingredients. I’ve been going to Pedro’s for 20 years and one thing is for sure, the quality never changes and it’s the same from one store to the next. If anything, I would almost say the burritos I had at this Pedro’s location were the best Pedro’s I’ve ever had in 20 years! The original in San Clemente is of course fantastic, but the food here today at this Oceanside location was absolutely unbelievable. The servers were very nice and have the biggest smiles. Funny though, for such a newer place, the speaker at the drive thru is like one of those from a comedy movie because you can barely make out what the person on the other end is saying. Can’t believe a decent speaker costs that much and it would be nice to hear the other person clearly. I just gave them my order and hoped for the best because I couldn’t understand a single word over the speaker. Last comment/gripe I have is location. I live farther down south and when are we going to see a Pedro’s down in San Diego! :) If they were to put one in Pacific Beach it would have to be open 24 hours a day because people would never stop going. If you are anywhere near this area, and I drove over 30 minutes to get here, treat yourself to something fantastic and unforgettable.

Oh I don’t know why I didn’t learn my lesson from the last time. I was dreaming of the day when I used to eat Pedro’s tacos and they were delicious. So I thought I would give them another chance. they probably still taste great BUT… I cant get over this crappy customer service When I go through the drive thru and asked for extra white sauce and the young lady at the drive through window tells me she doesn’t want to tell the chef because sometimes he gets mad. What the heck??? I told her I would pay for the extra white sauce; thats how I want my food. I’m not asking for anything free! She still gave me the look of no she was not going to ask the cook. I told her to forget it cancel my order and this time it is forever adiós Pedro’s Tacos.

Oh oh oh. I don’t know what it is about this place that I love so much. WAIT. Yes I do. THEIRSOFTASSTORTILLAS! Oh my gosh! Two little bean and cheese burritos for like, $ 5? AMAZING. The tortillas are the softest I’ve ever had. Like they were just taken off the grill(?) so warm and wonderful ;) Has a drive thru, super convenient! Takes debit cards too! YES :) Get off the 76 and get some food from here!

They use lard in their beans so not much for vegetarians. Ambiance is weird with surf videos playing in home entertainment center thing. Had two potato tacos. They’re 2.99 each. No salsa bar and no salsa in my to-go bag. Maybe I needed to ask for salsa, I don’t know. The potato taco was a frozen hash brown patty in two white corn tortillas with tartar sauce, cabbage and pico. In summary: weird and not worth it.

Yum! Had a fish taco and it was delish! Saucy and juicy and crispy. My taste buds were loving this fish taco goodness. I’d come back for the fish tacos if I was in the area. The restaurant is clean, and there are TVs on if you want to watch something while you eat. Lots of natural light through the large windows. Food came out pretty quickly, and we devoured it like taco monsters.

Great location, great prices and okay food. So this is not the real deal but it’ll work. I come here way too much but for the price you really can’t beat it. They’re famous for their fish tacos which are just okay nothing to write home about. I usually get the grilled chicken taco, the bean and cheese burrito, the cheese quesadilla or the fish taco. I’m not a big fan of anything else just because it’s like a Mexican/American taco shop versus a real Mexican taco shop. There are some nice views of the 76 and outdoor seating which is pretty nice. Beware of some homeless people but they’re for the most part harmless and most of the time they won’t ask you for money. The employees are nice enough, the food is alright and the prices are wallet friendly even though the prices recently went up.
