Cybelle’s Pizza

It’s been a rocky relationship with this pizza place. Their delivery driver can suck. Last time we ordered I called after an hour and a half to find out what was up. Apparently, he delivered our pizza to someone else and when he went back they had already started eating it. So, he was going to get a pizza that had already been at another person’s house and bring it to us? They also always forget to bring sides that we order.
Adiós. We are now ordering from Pizza Matador and are so much happier.

Cybelle’s is always a good choice for delivery! They also have the best breadsticks EVER!

I’ve had Cybelle’s Pizza in downtown Oakland and it’s always a little greasy. I’m happy to say the lower Dimond Hills Fruitvale location is much, much better! Our pizza is always fresh, hot and super cheesy. My husband and I are repeat customers. Their delivery peeps are always friendly and generally pretty quick. Thus far… no complaints!

Affordable, delicious, and unpretentious San Francisco style pizza. I was skeptical at first of finding good pizza in the Dimond, but was pleasantly surprised. Delicious doughy crust (but not too doughy), just the right amount of tasty cheese, and best of all, plenty of flavor in the sauce.
The side orders, Buffalo wings, garlic bread, etc. were above average as well.
As for delivery time they are consistent and quick. We’ve been ordering for a few years now and have never had an issue.

I ordered awhile ago and forgot to post this. Thanks Kayla she was very professional and patient with taking my order I have no cheese. Eaters and no meat eaters in my house. (Picky children) so. I had to make special ordereds which she handled like a pro I also love this place spaghetti and clams they always let me add pesto

We just discovered this pizza (havent been in Oak for long), we met one of the guys that works in the kitchen actually, so we order from here, even my kids like the specialty pizzas, not just pepperoni. The ones with the white sauce are my fav.

Sad to say that this Cybelle’s just doesn’t measure up to the Piedmont or Moraga locations. Tis a shame because they’re nearby and close enough to La Farine that I could really do some damage on a Saturday, juheard? Unfortunately whenever I walk in there the pizza is sitting all dry and pathetic and lonely and sad and the friendliness of the person behind the counter (oh yes, the friendliness is on swoll’!) can do little to make up for the fact that this pizza looks pitiful. So no, I cannot recommend this particular Cybelle’s BUT I can say that Piedmont is on pizniyee (that’s on point, for those of you who can’t keep up) and Moraga is equally deelish. So just get your kicks elsewhere and you’ll be fine.

This was my first time at this Cybelles. I came in on 04/​28/​2015 around 1pm. The as a in guy at the counter was very rude and had a big attitude problem. I asked him nicely which one had more the pepperoni or Linguica on the monster slice he responded with I don’t know I am not the cook very rudley and I asked again nicely asking him if he didn’t know to ask the cook. This guy rolled his eyes mean mugged me and shook his head no. I said look I want to know so I know what to order. He just stared me down then threw his hands up turned around and asked the cook with disgruntled attitude and I cut in asked the cook and the cook was very nice. The cook is nicer than the cashier? What is going on here? I will definitely not be ordering from this location I would rather pay the Bart fair to go to San Francisco Cybelles where pizza good and so is the entire service rather than walk 10 blocks from where I live and eat here again. This place is a joke.

Cybelles is the only decent pizza spot in the area. The pizza is very tasty and delivery service is quick. However, watch out for adding on extras to their special pizzas – the cost really adds up – to the tune of $ 2 for each item.

i’ve ordered my last delivery from Cybelle’s. The food is decent but the delivery service is horrible. Manners are lost on their drivers. I tip well and sometimes pre-​tip through the credit card service that they outsource. It makes no difference. Their drivers are discourteous, forget drinks often, and today delivered my meal upside down. 1 star only because 0 is not possible and what’s left of my my food is okay. I’m simply done. #icant

First time visiting Oakland and I was really craving pizza. My boyfriend let me know about this place because of his previous experience and I can see why he loved the pizza. The pizza is so delicious! I got the chicken combo monster slice and I was very satisfied with what I have ordered. The staff were so friendly! Next time I come and visit I know where to buy pizza from :)

Ordered online, added note instructions, the driver was so nice and fulfilled all my requests. Will use them again!

Ordered on eat 24. Got confirmation of the order then an hour later they tried to lie and say they never got the order. They offered no discount and now I’m waiting for my order, now an hour late. Just don’t bother ordering from here. If rather get retail pizza.

I’ve been ordering from the one on Fruitvale for years, but I think I’ll find a nice pizza spot. In the past year, their service has been shaky and my pizza isn’t even hot when it’s delivered. The biggest change is that they went up on their prices and never bothered to change their prices on the take out menu. They tried to charge $ 49 for a 18″ and wings! Hell no!

Got delivery when we first moved to the area. Pizza was eh. Just sort of chain restaurant style, not much flavor.

This is our go-​to pizza delivery place — not necessarily because it’s the best pizza in Oakland, but because it’s the best pizza that we can actually get delivered to our house. We live in a world surrounded by mediocre pizza places (we live in Maxwell Park). However, I do really like Cybelle’s pizza. It’s a place I go to when I want something I know I’m going to like and don’t want to worry about it. They have a big menu of pizza combinations, plus you can design your own, of course. They’re not super cheap but they’re not hideously expensive either. We’ll keep going there. :)

Last night I ordered a large meat pie pizza with feta on one side. When the pizza got here, first off the crust was soggy. And instead of feta they had sprinkled some what we think was old dried mozzarella on the top and then when I called to tell them they had not put feta on but some other cheese. This bimbo of a woman tried to tell me that was their version of feta. What??? It’s either feta or its not! Duh? What kind of morons do you have answering the phone? Then when I asked to speak to the manager, she told me to call back tomorrow. Of course when I did call back tomorrow, I was told by a guy that the manager only works during the week? What? Last night he would be here today, today he’ll be here tomorrow? Do any of these people know what they are talking about?
I have been ordering pizza from Cybelle’s for years and this was by far the absolute worst pizza I have had in my life. If this was my first time ordering I would never order from them again. Absolutely horrible!!! The bill was $ 25.78 and we could not even eat the damn thing. And to make matters even worse, my bf gave them $ 30. We threw away the pizza and went to Safeway and got a frozen pizza. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

Cybelle’s Pizza, Where do I begin. The staff is actually really nice but they do deal with customers who are just genuinely sketchy. So, please be considerate and patient of them when you do walk in orders or call for delivery. Trust me I have my fair share of being patient but it’s worth while.
Usually Pick Ups are 20 minutes, Delivery are 45 minutes depending where you live and what your order is too BUT if they are swamped with a lot of orders before yours, you have to be patient.
But if anywhere is swamped you should be patient.
–They have monster slices that are huge.
I think you can still ask them to make garlic bread pizza. Basically a pizza on garlic bread can choose up to 5 toppings including the sauce and Cheese
Calzones are good too but it takes a while because it has to bake inside.
My favorites are Reiko’s Favorite, Pacific Heights, and the Chicken in the green. But all their pizza combos are really good even the vegetarian combos too.

Ordered on Eat24. Waited 1:15 for my pizza, when it finally showed up, completely ruined, like he dropped it on the way. Rude guy leaves silent voicemail on my phone, acts pissed to be delivering and leaves. I called him back about the ruined pizza and missing garlic bread — lets it ring to oblivion.
Called the pizzeria, they say sorry, offer to send another pizza. Oh, no, wait. We can’t do that without the manager. Can you wait around until he shows up and can authorize? In the meantime…“
Yeah, I asked them to come retrieve this wrecked pizza and refund me. Still waiting on the pickup. 30 minutes and counting…
Called Eat24, got a full refund and they credited me the cost of the order! Great customer service! Awful pizzeria. Pity that Eat24 has to rectify the mistakes of places like this.

Cybelle’s was my favorite pizza decades ago. it’s just okay now. cybelle’s still makes it is the same. my tastebuds have changed.
eats: chesse pizza (tuesday, lunch special, 1.29+, regular 2.10)
–the texture is chewy, not doughy, this is a plus i.e. middle dough is cooked, not raw.
–pizza crust has a little tartness. not sure why i don’t like it anymores.
–something seems missing from the crust, it’s not the toppings.
