Great service by Steve to replace my rear windshield. Even the folks who answered the phone were surprisingly professional, funny, and clear. A nice departure from my calls to other glass places in the area. I’ll definitely recommend to my friends.

I have used this company three times in the last few years, mainly for windshield replacement due to irreparable cracks in the glass. They are consistently on time and pleasant and competitively priced. The one time I had a smash and grab at BART and needed a window repair, they were at my house by 10am the next morning and the technician used his wet-​dry vac to get all the remaining shattered glass out of my car, including the floor mats and window well, which was a really nice touch.

I found 6 inch crack on my windshield on Friday. I called them on Saturday to schedule an appointment. They sent a technician out to my house in Hercules on Monday. The technician was friendly and replaced my windshield in 2 hours. Cost me about $ 350. The End. :)

Top marks. Tried through the (GEICO-​recommended) company and found that the wait was at least two weeks for mobile glass replacement. Called On The Move this morning (Saturday) and the guy was here within 40 minutes — for the same price. Well done!

Drove wayyyyy to close to an 18-​wheeler and got my windshield cracked … I raced into Auto Glass On The Move to see if I could repair the slowly spreading crack… Unfortunately it was unrepairable but they sent someone to my place the next day and installed a new windshield. They were there ON TIME and the installation was super fast. The price was so reasonable, too, I was expecting to pay double what they charged me to replace my windshield.

Guys here were super helpful, dealt with my insurance, entertained my five-​year-​old, and fixed my windshield for less than everyone else quoted, PLUS same-​day (which no one else I called could do). Bonus for the kind of eclectic, funky atmosphere (pinball machine, retro chairs, ramshackle tiki-​looking office and porch) that is all but disappearing in the bay area.

My saviors! After a late afternoon car break-​in left one of my windows smashed at the WORST time, I called Auto Glass on the Move and they booked me for the next day. Even better? They met me at my work to replace my window, so I can haul my gear tonight for an event. «Superheroes» is the closest word I can think of to describe the fine people here. Highly recommended!

Great customer service and super fast service. I called at 8:30 got an appointment for 10:00 and they were done by 11:15. Thanks for getting us fixed up before the rain!

Last summer, I had my window broken into and Glass On The Move were lifesavers. They came to me the day I called them (but sometimes they can’t come until the next day, which is normal, people!). Dude came to my place, changed it in an hour or 2 while I got things done around the house, and called me when it was finished. He even cleaned all the broken glass in and around my car. Tipped him nicely because thats the nice thing to do.
I am going to get my windshield replaced because of rocks flying at me on the freeway (!) so I called them today to set up a time for them to come to me. Sean again was super helpful, got me in contact with my insurance, and now everything is set up. It is so convenient to have them come to me because I work all week, but if you have a day off, you can go into their shop and I’m sure it’s even quicker/​easier to get your windows replaced. Thank you guys, sorry for the late review!

Wonderful, professional, high-​quality service! My 2005 Mazda was broken into and a rear window smashed, and I needed glass replacement ASAP. I called Auto Glass on the Move, immediately got info on the glass availability and a quote, and worked through them to reach out to Geico to get approval for the coverage. They were super responsive and could take my car in for repair that very day — or if I wasn’t available, drive to my house early the next morning. I was so impressed with their service. The nicest guys and great work! Thank you!

The review is strictly based on timing. The first time I called and had my glass replaced the technician was 20 minutes late and it took me calling the office to confirm he was going to arrive. He finally did and completed the repair in what appeared to be a timely manner.
I live in Oakland, so inevitably I needed another glass repair to be completed. I called Auto Glass on the Move this morning around 10:00 am to set up the repair. I needed to be back from work at 5:00 pm so when the person on the phone mentioned that the tech would be at my work to repair the glass between 2 – 4 pm, I was okay with the timing. Once again, the time came and went without a technician arriving on site. I called the office again and was put on hold while the gentleman scrambled to see what happened. I was told that the technician was in San Ramon and could be to me in about 20 minutes, with no explanation as to why he wasn’t there during the allotted time. I explained that I needed to be out of work by 5:00 pm and when I was told that the repair would take 45 minutes, it was clear that the timing wasn’t going to work today. Had to cancel the repair and set it up for the next morning. Who knows if they’ll show up without me calling again to confirm. Thankfully it wasn’t my front windshield, and my vehicle is still operable without the repair.
I don’t really know that there are any quality differences when it comes to replacing glass in a vehicle, so I assume that the work they performed the first time was decent. I assume the work they perform tomorrow will be decent as well, but the rave reviews for this company are off base.
They came through a day later which was great and they were pretty apologetic which was nice

I called up Auto Glass on the move to replace a tinted vent window in my car that had been smashed in. It was early Monday morning on a holiday nonetheless, and they were able to be at my place in less than two hours. It took about 30 minutes to fix and the window looks great. The price was right as well. Thanks James and Wally for such great service!

Awesome experience with these guys. My window had been making grinding noises and finally it got stuck open — during a rainstorm! I called them up and they were able to «block it up» immediately. They quoted me a price to get it a part from VW but when I balked at the price they told me I could get it cheaper on my own and that the cost of blocking up the window would apply to installing the part. I found the part at a Napa auto parts and saved $ 120. They installed it and I drove away happy. Plus: PINBALL IN THE WAITING ROOM. Thanks Unilocal for the find!

Found this place randomly after a truck launched a rock that chipped my windshield. Sean was super helpful and knowledgeable. I had no idea that most insurance companies pay for this work with no deductible cost. He walked me through the process. I brought it in and they fixed it while I waited. My only regret is that they just do glass. I’d love to be able to take my car to them for everything!

Not sure why the bad reviews BUT we had a great experience. They were able to show up the same day, did it in a timely matter and it was at a moderate price. Have used them twice hopefully wont need a new window anytime soon :)

Get things done right and done fast, I highly recommend this place. I have a Canadian vehicle and my windshield was cracked on the highway. I went in early on Monday morning without appointment, Sean assisted me though the entire claim process (more complicated when the car was insured with a Canadian insurance company), he even helped me get authorizations to use OEM windshield.
The windshield was nicely repaired. No water leaks, no buzzing noise, no scratch on the car. The car was kept in door overnight, so it was safe. Great service.

My 2015 Mazda3 iSport passenger window had been smashed in a series of vandalism after the Warriors Parade in downtown Oakland… I called my insurance company and they referred me to Safelite Glass Co.; unfortunately, due to the series of vandalism they were booked 2 weeks out. I told a colleague about my car and she had recommended Auto Glass On The Move because they were local, had a mobile service, usually provided same day service and most importantly they were a small family owned business

Amazing! Saved me some money and most of all time, gas, and stress. My PT Cruiser was damaged over the weekend. Some dumb f*** decided that my passenger window needed to be smashed in. It being a Saturday, and having to take my mom to the airport I just patched it up and called around with no luck. I decided to Unilocal it and wa-​la! Glass on the Move had such good reviews I figured I call Monday morning and try my luck.
Was so glad. James was super nice and pleasant on the phone. Gave me a quote and time frame. $ 229 tinted and would only take an hour to repair. Where as Starelite said it was going to be 320 and I would have to drive to Concord. No thanks!
Minute I got there they jumped into go mode. Car was there only 50 minutes, waiting room was comfortable. Sean and James both super professional. Window looked just like before, car was all clean of glass, no hidden fee (was exactly what they quoted me), and I was on my way.
Definitely use them if you have something misfortunate happen to your car. You guys rock!
