J & K Auto Glass

J&K is awesome! Due to my misfortune, and the desperate measures that some people take to get a little money, my car has been broken into twice in the last year. Both times it’s been the front passenger side window, and both times I’ve gone to J&K. This is a small shop and Mr. Vo, the proprietor (I forget his first name, but «Vo» is embroidered on his shirt), is friendly, efficient and quotes a great price. The first time my car got broken into (I had mistakenly left a gym bag seductively on my passenger side seat while parked in front of my house) I went to the yellow pages-​old school to find a glass repair shop in the neighborhood. I work in Downtown Oakland, so I checked out places in the area. J&K’s quote was by far the cheapest, they were able to take my car right away. They did a great job! This time when my car got broken into (I was trying to be a responsible wedding guest and got a ride home, leaving my car at West Oakland BART for 36+ hours) I couldn’t remember j&k’s name. I called a few other places on Unilocal for quotes, and knew that they were ripping me off-​if only I could remember J&K! Auto Glass On the Move, right in the same area, was going to charge me $ 110 more than the price I remembered last time! Finally google reviews refreshed my memory and I called J&K right away-​sure enough, this was the lowest quote of the 4 shops I called in the area. I remembered the professionalism last time and was told my replacement would only take about an hour. Though I left it for longer while I went to work, they were efficient, cleaned up all of the hazardous broken glass in my car, and were grateful for my business. I recommend J&K-I’ve been able to bring my car in right away both times for excellent service, and though I hope never to have to have a window replaced again, if I do I know where to go!
