They changed the management and I like it so much better: –The menu is smaller but much more interesting and less greasy. –The vodka sauce I love now and the pizzas are still pretty good(although, can’t beat Grimaldi’s in Douglaston or Mamma’s on Bell still). The one caveat would be the 2 – 3(out of 4) occasions where they did mess up my delivery order, which has prevented me from ordering there as often as I would but good nonetheless.

FYI this is NOT the same Joe’s Pizza that many of us who grew up with. It’s a wannabe carbon copy that for some reason, not only serves lackluster pizza, but also fried chicken. The Joe’s of old is gone. This one may share the same name, but the pizza quality is ass compared the old namesake restaurant. One of my favorite parts of the old Joe’s was their awesome pepperoni slice. They used a very distinctive type of pepperoni that was flavorful and you could easily recognize it with a single bite. The pepperoni here is greasy, tasteless and completely uninspired. I’d rather eat the crappy Totino’s frozen pizza I have in my freezer than anything here. What a complete bummer, but I don’t know what pisses me off more — the fact the food here sucks, or that it so poorly tries to leech off the reputation of the original Bayside landmark.

If you’re looking for some good New York City pizza, keep going. This is a good place for a cheap meal consisting of some decent pizzeria food. The slices are okay, nothing special and the garlic knots are usually drier than other places. They show a large menu with things like chicken wings and gyros, but it’s definitely not the place you should go if that’s what your craving for. The workers are friendly and it’s affordable without a doubt.

Excuse me while I still try and gather my thoughts… It was just that great. Ordered a House Special pie(large) to share with friends. We ended up bringing back half pizza, one slice for each of us was MORE than enough fill you up. Coming from areas where they charge ridiculous prices for a plain cheese slice THISWASWORTHIT. $ 3.50 per slice($ 3 per slice when pie) is worth all their special on a pizza(minus anchovies). Was made fresh in our case and the workers there were cool about us chilling. We all definitely vowed to come back here when we want pizza.

I could almost cried as I passed Joe this am. I spotted it and remembered that a good 60% of my after school time in high school was spent inside this very small and friendly pizzeria. I love this place and it hurts me that I haven’t been here in so long. I couldn’t wait to finish my last class and scurry down to this place. The most amazing sicilian slice I’ve had in my life to this very day! So fluffy yet crispy and saucy with hot cheese. Oh goodness just thinking about it makes my tummy smile. She remembers that delicious corner square sprinkled with parmesan floating around in her tummy, making her feel at peace. When I was feeling frisky… CHICKENROLL! Delicious deeeeffinlicious! I mean scrumptious. Amazing! Truly amazing. I can’t even explain. Just great. You’ll have go try it for yourself. Now the guys that work here are probably more important to me than the food. They were a riot. And they truly enjoyed talking to us customers and making us feel welcomed. Or atleast they did an awesome job of making me feel like they did. Never an attitude and they always had time to chat and be silly. And I was always being silly. Love it. Must stop in soon.

I don’t know why«famous» is in this place’s name, but it should NOT be because of its food. The first time I ordered from here, I had their pasta alfredo and a chocolate cake. I also asked for a cheesecake, but apparently the guy taking the order didn’t hear. Thankfully the cheesecake was left out, since the rest of the food was awful. The pasta had waayy too much butter and cheese, was hard, and didn’t even taste good, and the cake tasted and looked like it was bought from the frozen food aisle at BJ’s. Even Pizza Hut and Domino’s have fresher food. A family member of mine was foolish enough to order from this place a second time and got the Joe’s Special pizza. When it got here, the toppings were close to dropping completely off the pizza and the pizza itself tasted like soggy peppers. I don’t know if it’s because I didn’t order normal cheese pizza or because I ordered delivery, but everything I’ve had from here was absolutely terrible. Not coming back ever again.

The place used to be pizza/Italian only… Then they added fried chicken which was a huge FAIL. Now they have Greek dishes as well. The only thing I get here is the baked ziti slice which is still the best around.

Meh. Their slices are huge, but they get soggy easily. We usually get the family pack from here mostly because it’s affordable and a great deal. They have a really good garlic rub that they put at the bottom of the slice, but I hate that all the toppings just slide off the pizza. I’m not talking about an olive, sausage, or mushroom that drops onto your plate either. CHEESEANDALL, it falls off. Yucky! They make their pizza with extra gluten flour, which supposedly makes it more fluffy and chewy.

Great Deal! They have what is easily the best deal outside of a chain pizzeria except it’s real pizza! If you get their Family Fun Pack(OK, so I’m not feeding a family! But it makes great next day leftovers!). It includes: Mozzarella Sticks Buffalo Wings Garlic Knots Salad 2 liter of soda(they actually have Pepsi and Coke!) and most importantly PIZZA! So with that list in mind how much would you expect to pay for this bundle of goodness??? 40? 35? 30? How about 25! I can hear your jaw dropping reading this! It’s a great deal for the price and pizza is good too. As with any pizzeria they’re local only so you have to be in the area to get it(sorry). Great to feed a bunch of friends.
