If you are looking for an AMAZING hair stylist, this is the place to go. The only catch is that you have to see Nicole! No exceptions. She is hands down the BEST of the best. Nicole has been cutting my hair consistently for over 10 years and I 100% trust her. I’ve followed her to wherever salon she’s gone to! Near or far, she’s always worth the trip. I must say she is the ultimate perfectionist, which is great because who wouldn’t want anything less with their hair? I cannot explain enough in words how talented she is. You’ll just have to go and find out for yourself! Every time I’ve gone to see her, we’ve had other stylists come up to her and compliment her work. Whether it’s the cut, or this time it was the color; it makes me even happier to see that even other stylists recognize her talent. Trust me and schedule an appointment with her. She’s personable and will really listen to what you want and bring it to life! I came to her this past week nervous and excited to finally color my hair for the first time. I would only ever trust her and I’m in love with it! We did a subtle auburn balayage and long layers. Thank you again Nicole!

I have been going to this salon for a couple years off and on. I was originally going to a hair stylist that did a decent job but, during my last visit with her, she completely jacked up my hair! I called the salon and the owner Ron was very nice and set me up with George to fix my hair that afternoon. I have been going to George ever since.
I have a hard time finding hair stylist who can cut my hair and almost every hair stylist I go to do a horrible job. I have finally found a hair stylist who I don’t have to worry about how my cut is going to look when he’s done. If you are looking for a PHENOMENAL hair stylist, set up an appointment with George! You will not be disappointed!!!

There are so many salons in the Chicago area that I would have never found this place, as they are located on outside of Oak Brook mall facing a not so busy street. Luckily for me I purchased a groupon and found this great place. I had a facial and haircut done and absolutely loved the experience. The facial was with Erica (I think) and the haircut with Lauren. The both times I’ve been here, the staff was very warm and friendly. I liked that when I had both services done, they provided the names of the items used and never pushed to sell the product.
I travel to Texas 2 – 3 times a year to visit family and usually get my haircut when I visit. No more waiting until my next visit, I’ve found my salon.

I had one of the best massages ever with Veronica. I prefer deep tissue massages with a lot of pressure and she definitely knew what she was doing. This was a great experience and I will be back the next time I want to splurge– as it is an expensive treat.

I am so happy to find this salon, I’m a fan and I am so thankful. After 3 failed attempts by a colorist and stylist at Mario Tricoci to get my hair to match the style and color in a picture I brought along as reference for 6 months I was in need of some serious color correction. George gave me the look I was looking for and he made sure it made sense for my age and with my skin color… it all finally worked!!! I will return to this salon from here on. Thank you George and thank you One Salon & Spa!

Ashley is the absolutely best colorist! She took the time to thoroughly understand the shade of red I wanted & then described with a color book which colors she would mix to create what I wanted.
She did what she said. My hair is exactly what I wanted. I feel like a better version of me… younger & cuter! Honestly, Ashley, Ashley, once and again, over & over, Ashley. Totally worth it.

Okay, 5 stars for Dave who has been my massage therapist my last two times here. He’ll be mean if you want which is how I roll because for me massages are to get rid of the knots & stiff muscles. Yes. You may feel like hell the next day, but the day after that… sigh! You feel like a whole new person.
So why 4 stars you ask? Well, it is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for right!?!

A perfect score for a perfect experience and isn’t that what you want when you go to the salon?
While I had been here before– my hair stylist, Ashley moved here recently so now this has become my regular «go to» salon.
If you are looking for an amazing hair stylist– look no further than Ashley. She has done my hair for years and I am always getting compliments on the cut, color and style. In fact– I get my hair washed and styled all over the world, and no matter where I go– the other stylists complement me on my cut and color. Now that is high praise!
They also do massages and Veronica and David are very good. Both have helped me when my back spasms and I am in pain– but a few minutes with their magic hands and I am back in business!
Ron, the owner, is pleasant and personable and keeps this place impeccable. This has to be the cleanest salon I have ever been in. The floors and walls are spotless (which is always tricky when there is color, hairspray and polish waiting to make it’s mark) and the natural light that pours into the space from the many windows, just makes this a nice place to spend some time getting «pretty».
They use high end products and the stylists are well trained in making suggestions for what types of products will work with my hair type.
Convenient location adjacent to the Oak Brook Mall (it’s on the main floor of an office building located on the east side of the mall), plenty of free parking and convenient hours round of the picture of this place. Salon One is my new home for my «beauty tune ups» and I couldn’t be happier!

I can’t say enough about Cheryl Zalewski. She does a fantastic job and I am always receiving compliments on my hairstyle. She listens to your input on what you want and offers suggestions if you have any concerns or questions. She is meticulous about getting your cut done perfectly.
One Salon & Spa is easy to get to and has convenient parking.

Five stars for Nicole Kass! She just did the most amazing soft ombré on me that I absolutely love. I’ve been going to Nicole for probably 15 years now, and as I’ve told her before — if she moved, I’d fly to wherever she was so she could cut my hair. She’s that talented!

Worst massage ever! This guy gave as much care as a boyfriend or husband giving a backrub during a football game!

I redeemed a Groupon for a 50 minute sweetish massage — and upgraded to a deep tissue massage for an extra $ 12. My massage therapist was Dave — THE best therapist I’ve ever had. He spent a great deal of the massage focusing on trigger points and the pressure was great! He is a very strong guy and can offer a range of pressure. The tranquility room and massage suite were very clean and comfortable.
The rest of the staff was friendly and welcoming.
Highly recommend a massage by Dave!

Lauren is fantastic!
I was in town for work, had some time to kill so I decided to go for a bang trim. I’m REALLY picky about who I let touch my hair, esp bangs, so I gave her the once-​over when she greeted me. I loved her style and especially her own bangs, so I knew I’d be in good hands.
Lauren gave me a thorough consultation, asking detailed questions about how normally get my hair cut and how I prefer it. I had a good feeling about her style/​talent, so decided to go for a full haircut. I am so glad I did!
After a relaxing shampoo and an expert haircut, I got to enjoy a thorough blowout. My hair looked fantastic!!!
If I lived in Chicago, I’d definitely come back to Lauren. But since I don’t maybe I’ll just have to wait until the next time business brings me out to the Chi.

Hmmmm — I have mixed feelings about this place. I went to get a massage because I bought a Groupon a while back.
I was not asked if I wanted a male or female massage therapist. I personally prefer females and when they called to confirm my appointment they said my massage was with «Dave.» It wasn’t really a big deal, but I feel that as a woman, who is going to be laying on a table naked, having someone rub their hands all over me, I should at least be asked if I am comfortable with a male doing it. I’ve had many massages and have always been asked.
Additionally, my Groupon said it was good for either a swedish or deep tissue massage. About 15 minutes into my massage I realized it was a deep tissue and once again I was never asked. Again — not a huge deal, but it would’ve been nice to be asked because I went for the sole purpose of relaxation and feel that a swedish massage would have been more relaxing than a deep tissue.
The massage therapist did a great job, although he talked to me quite a bit. It wasn’t too much to the point where I was annoyed, but enough so that I probably wouldn’t go back to him. Like I said — the main purpose of me going was to RELAX. Having a conversation during a massage is not relaxing. About half of the massage was spent conversing. Not a fan.
They do seem to have great services there — specializing in hair. The salon part of it is huge and looked very up to date. They also do pedicures, facials, manicures, etc. I was given a tour and it seemed like a nice place.
Given that I used a Groupon, it was a great deal, but would I pay $ 115.00 and go back again for another massage, most likely not.

Nicole K does a fantastic job! I have not tried any of the other staff because I do not need to. Nicole gets it right every time. The image that I have in my head of the way I want my hair to look like is always the way it turns out. She is very knowledgable when it comes to the trends of style and color and makes great suggestions when you want to try something new but aren’t quite sure what. Not only is she great at color and cut, she also does a beautiful job on updos. I always refer people to her for weddings and special occasions because I am confident that they will not be let down. If you are looking for a new salon to go to make your appointment with Nicole K, you will not be disappointed.
