What’s up with the prices?
Just a follow up here. If you look at the menu’s for the different Pasta House locations (Internet site) You will see that the O: fallon Pasta house is (on most items 10 to 30 percent higher in price. Why? In my book the food quality here suffers greatly. I will go to the St. Peters PH next time.

Very tasty pasta fresh made in sight. Pasta house salads and pastas complimented with hot rolls. Can’t beat it for home town chain Italian.

Tried this location again after having to leave the last time we tried to eat here for never being waited on. We had sat at our table for over 20 minutes with no one ever coming by. So, tried again and yeah, still shitty service. Waitress forgot to ring in our appetizer, brought it AFTER we were served dinner. Never pre-​bussed the table, didn’t refill drinks. Seemed too busy socializing. Won’t be back. Ever.

I used to love Pasta House — but that was back in the late 70s-​early 80s, when the salads were included, bread was in a basket at the table, and they would make you any pasta combination you requested. This location has definitely gone downhill. We’ve had the same horrible waitress on our two visits in the past year.
After being seated near the bar, the waitress brought water, took our order, then disappeared. We sat for 40 minutes waiting for our food. She never checked on us, never brought the appetizer, never refilled our water. She stood behind the bar a good portion of the time, not appearing to do anything. I kept waving and yelling «EXCUSE ME MISS» — but to no avail.
I finally had to find a manager to ask if we could get some service and what happened to our order. The manager did apologize and discounted the bill. Given that we sat there ignored, I felt they should have given us a free meal to return — but at least the manager apologized.

Slow service and mediocre food. Fifty minute ticket time. The first time at this one and the first bad experience at any Pasta House. Won’t be returning.

Horrible service. Our waiter barely gave us a second glance after bringing our drinks. I ordered the pasta alla carbonara and the sauce was so watery it sat in the bottom of my dish. I doubt there was egg in it. The garlic cheese bread was soaked in butter and only flavored with garlic salt. And the side Caesar salad I ordered was 6 bucks. With so many amazing Italian places in this area, I’m not sure how they are still in business.

Poor quality food and extremely slow service. We have tried this location a number of times and had the same experience each time. The sauce is not savory and the noodles are not homemade. We waited an incredibly long time to receive our simple order during a non-​peak time. At our last visit, we determined to never return again. Save your time, save your money…

Pasta House is kind of a mid step between fast food and fine dining. We always enjoy the salad, and often get it take out for dinner. Have to say it seems they raised the prices on entrees recently, and food just seems below Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, etc for that class of dining. Last time we went, we had horrific service despite few patrons dining: waited for water, waited to order, waited (literally) 15 minutes for salads which arrived only after I complained, followed 1 minute later by our entrees. The salads are already mixed in back, all prep cook does is throw them in serving bowls, so no clue why it took so long.
Worst than the bad service was the manager’s attitude. When I asked to speak with him (shortly after salads and dinners arrived simultaneously) he seemed put off, said «I’ll take care of it» when I mentioned waiter’s lack of interest in us. Manager didn’t apologize, offer us dessert, or any acknowledgement of our complaint. To me, the only thing worse than bad service is a bad attitude from the boss when he becomes aware of his employees’ mistakes…

Good food, good service. A good place in the STL to eat some good Italian food

We have been frequent diners at several Past House restaurants and this was the first really bad experience. Yesterday, with early arrival around 11:25AM, the service was bad and the food not very good. Apparently, they burned the first pizza (for my grandkids) and when the second was finally delivered along with the rest of the food (after a 1 hour wait) it too was «overcooked» and the eggplany (mine) was cold. The waiter was apologetic at that point, but had stayed scarce and did not offer timely refills on drinks or any other consideration. We will have to reconsider our frequent dining at Pasta House before spending another $ 60.05 plus tip for a bad experience. Don Staten
