I really do love Schnucks. This location has Boar’s head, and I don’t know if they all do or not? But I know this one does and I love Boar’s head buffalo chicken. So spicy but so tasty. I think they typically have a lot of better deals here, but I really just love Dierbergs. It’s just a preference. However, they do have great service as well. They don’t have as large of a selection of specialty gluten-​free items as Dierbergs but their selection is fairly large. I will say their Italian premade sandwiches in the deli are great, but I love all the things Dierbergs has in their deli a little more.

I have been a regular here since the day they opened and unfortunately it doesn’t feel like it. I’ve seen the same employees there for years and still today No one says hello like they recognize me. This takes away from the family friendly store. When Glen (store manager) was there the team seemed happier and motivated. I’m not saying they are bad they just have lost something.
I hate that they do stocking during the day, they always seem to be in the way and always on big shopping days. This to me is a major inconvenience and makes me want to shop somewhere else which I have started to make this transition. No matter how much I like them I just can’t deal with the changes.

Schnucks is definitely my favorite grocery store in the O’Fallon area– unlike Dierberg’s, they actually take American Express. Selection is good, prices are reasonable, and I’ve never had to wait in line. (Though I do tend to shop later in the evenings) There’s also a US Bank branch in the store which is convenient since I bank there…
