Way way overpriced. I bought a 4 pack. And can’t believe I spent 2.50 per Oreo sized cookie.

Probably my favorite bakery in the East Village. Really solid baked goods and great coffee. However, the crowning achievement is the alfajores, an Argentine treat that is tough to find in the city. There is a vanilla variety with coconut. Two vanilla cookies with dulce de leche in between and coconut shavings around it. The mocha is a also a good variation.

One of the cutest bakery hidden in east village. The cashier was so nice and she explained all the desserts they have. I had the choco kids treat, they were amazing! Not a huge fan of the coconut bar though. They also have a variety of desserts that are made of dates.

Super cute and cozy café. Kind staff. They say they have a wifi but it didn’t work for me. So if you go there to work, check their wifi before you order. Otherwise everything is delish.

you’re going to eat here and you’re going to love it. this hole in the wall bakery contains everything you want in a bakery excellence in baked goods, but excellence in service. the chocolate babka will bring you to your knees. so chocolaty, light and fluffy… i also had the challah toast with avocado and za’atar,(a mediterranean spice blend) served with a cup of our house made, lightly sweetened peppermint iced tea. wow! it was definitely what i needed. then of course i needed a finger print cookie… and so basically i could not stop eating once i got in the door. it was luxurious and well worth every penny. i even picked up some babka for my family. outstanding.

Delicious food and warm/cozy atmosphere? If you are at all interested in these two things then make sure you visit Zucker Bakery. As soon as you step inside, a warm and cinnamony aroma washes over you. Truly feels like a neighborhood gem and you actually feel like you aren’t annoying the people behind the counter! Miracles do exist!!!

When I stepped into the bakery, it had that cozy smell that all good bakeries should have. The lady behind the counter didn’t seem put out by me and my friend asking about each and every thing. We settled on Kadorei Shokolad, a traditional no-bake chocolate cookie covered in sprinkles or coconut. It’s a super dense cookie, so small bites are definitely encouraged. The store itself was very small with the various tables occupied with students doing work on their laptops, but there was a date happening over coffee in the window seats. Definitely a homey environment that’s sure to make you smile :)

What a lovely Israeli bakery! I appreciate the warm & cozy atmosphere, the aroma of freshly baked goods, the imperfect stamped logo on the to-go cups and boxes… and of course, the heavenly assortment of cookies and pastries. The Israeli blood in me always has me craving sweets filled with dates and poppy seeds — which makes Zucker Bakery the perfect spot pour moi! Cookie of choice? Their«playdates» are fantastic(amongst everything else).

If stars were awarded for cuteness alone this place would be 5-stars all the way. It’s like if your favorite Etsy shop and Anthropologie had a baby. The sweets, however, all seem a little excessively fancy. And the woman behind the counter seemed put out with having to tell me one by one what they were. And they’re all pretty pint-sized.

I stopped into this bakery after the dog parade over the weekend because the beau was starving. It’s a very cute /cozy bakery close to tompkins square park, however seating is very limited as people tend to buy a small tea and plop themselves in one of the couches or at the tables seemingly for hours on end. Therefore, if it is busy you will need to get your food to go. I wasn’t enticed by any of the baked goods in the display case(there were not that many options for a bakery) but my boyfriend got a pastry and latte and he seemed to enjoy it. The workers were nice enough, although you could tell they were not all that thrilled with the internet parkers. I think they should take a cue from many café’s and limit internet /laptop use during their peak times. Tip: they offer a Unilocal check in deal where you get a free coffee when you buy a box of cookies

Almost healthy cookies/pastries– not too sweet or greasy which is great and generally hard to find. I had to ask what the 6 out of the 8 cookies in the glass case were, which is pretty exciting stuff. Also as a non-coffee drinker, it was nice to see folks in the front room enjoying tea service with a cup and teapot. I had the banana bread(a little underdone and not banana-y enough) and the spice honey cookie(nice flavor). Like a ginger cookie but honey/molassey. I’ll be back to try the rest of them. 2 bucks each.

Zucker Bakery. The bane of my waistline! I love the whole bakery’s team and their selections. I ordered a large batch for my wedding a few years back and every year people ask me about the treats I had for my wedding. My favorite are the Alfajores, Playdate and party balls. I buy a good portion for home after my visits and put them in the fridge. They last a good 1 – 2 weeks depending on how snacky my husband and I are. Did I mention they are the bane to our waistline? ;)

This bakery smells like a bakery should, and they have a Unilocal check-in offer! The selection is very diverse — alfajores, ginger snaps, other Middle Eastern/Mediterranean baked delights. They also serve coffee and it appears that they have WiFi(guy working on his laptop there made me believe this). Employees seem friendly and willing to make suggestions, which is always helpful with some of the lesser known baked goods.

The babka is less sweet and more breadlike than other babka you get in the city. So, you can bring it home and then add some of your own butter. The saltiness from the butter and the sweetness from the chocolate make a good combination.

I came here with my mother and we both had a pastry and coffee. The coffee was delicious and we loved the glasses they came in. The ladies working there were very friendly, helpful and provided great service. The atmosphere was wonderful to just sit down, relax and chat with my mom. As for the pastries, delicious but they were a tad over priced and living in New York, you can find way more bang for your buck elsewhere. I definitely will be back for their coffee!

I love bakeries! Zucker was no exception. Not only is the case filled with tons of delicious treats to pick from but every little nook and cranny has something to look at. I love the woven bird cages and the plush little birds nestled inside. I also enjoyed seeing the vintage Danish looking furniture. I’m a big fan of a great product surrounded by great style. And Zucker is all that. I knew I wanted to try the Alfajores. That is the most popular of all the treats. I ordered a drip coffee with soy, a Alfajores and I couldn’t resist getting an avocado toast with Zatar spices. Zatar spices are a middle eastern blend of spices we don’t use to often in America. When the waitress brought the avocado toast over it came on the cutest vintage glass tray and a complimentary glass of peppermint tea. It was delightful! My Alfajor was two gorgeous cake cookies filled with a dulce de leche caramel and the sides are rolled in coconut. Everything was tasty and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. I esepecially enjoyed the touch of coconut. I will definitely become a regular here. I felt like I was just going o a friend’s house for tea.

The young staffer refused to acknowledge their ‘signature’ roses are like cinnamon buns. The sign on wall says $ 10CC minimum but was able to pay less than $ 4 for the chocolate rose /Shoshanim, which is basically a dry cinnamon bun mixed with a dry babka with weak chocolate and a center that’s the only decent part, with a dry and bland perimeter. Also no sign of Challah only on Friday starting @ 11. Left my Square register feedback accordingly… Rose $ 3.50 Total $ 3.50 The Special: Complimentary Rose sticky bun Passcode: CITI11260 Valid Through Close Of Business Day On: Dec. 31, 2015 Deal Details: Restrictions apply: Must obtain and present Citi Passcode to restaurant and use a Citi credit or debit card to redeem. So it’s Purim and I’m walking through the East Village munching on my poppyseed hamantaschen from Moishe’s – and I’m not feeling the love. The pastry has the size, weight and heft of a doorstop, and the top layer of poppyseeds is baked hard by the sun because they store these treats in the window. My Purim cheer is waning until I pass Zucker Bakery on East 9th St., a tiny Israeli bakery tucked into a storefront – who knew? It’s charming, inviting, and the staff is friendly. There’s a sign out front, «Hamantaschen Today.» I order two – one poppyseed and the other walnut and date – and they hit the spot. They are small, just a bite or two each, with a good pastry crust. To my taste, the fillings, while good, aren’t assertive enough, so no, these are not the definitive, mind-blowing hamantaschen I’m always craving. But they revive my Purim spirit, and also make me want to try everything in the shop, which looks delicious. I’ll be back to Zucker for sure. Sweet.

Walking in, you feel like you’re walking into a cute and cozy NYC apartment. Little café tables and couch seating invite you to eat baked goods and drink some Stumptown coffee. This small batch bakery is making its unique cookies and«Roses»(similar to a sticky bun) by hand. I first tried their Alfajhores(Dulce De Leche filled cookie sandwich rolled in coconut flakes). It was so good. The cookie was soft and had a shortbread flavor. Inside, is the soft and sweet carmel flavor of the Dulce De Leche. And bringing both together, are the coconut flakes around the cookie. Then, I also got one of their Roses. They have a couple different flavors, but I chose the cinnamon and raisin. It was soft and doughy with a great cinnamon flavor and sweetness from the raisins and delicate glaze on top. What’s great about this version of the sticky bun, is that they’re not too big(they’re about the size of a regular sized cupcake) and not too sweet, so you can eat them at just about any time.

Love the chill feel to this place. It’s a small bakery with about 7 seats. I love the coziness of it and everyone seemed to be enjoying their drinks and cookies. We ordered our goodies to go. The employee who helped us was sweet and took the time to explain the different types of cookies they had. Our goodies were wrapped up neatly in no time. Total came to about $ 10 for our assorted cookie box, which was great. I appreciate that the cookies are not too sweet, extremely flavorful, and reasonably priced. Each cookie had a nice consistency. They are fresh and I love the spices used. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. These were delicious. A great place to meet up with a friend for tea and cookies. These would also make for great gifts.
