I miss the Kito’s. This place is HORRIBLE. Staff is rude and they dont ever pay attention to you. I have gone there for lunch several times and was ignored, tried again. They totally messed up my order. NEVERAGAIN am i going there.

New ownership, new taste! Kitos was pretty good but this place rocks! So much variety and extremely friendly service. Met the owner on my first visit and he is the nicest guy! NYC just gained a hidden gem in Zoni Café!

Yes! Finally we have a local spot for legit Caribbean based Spanish Food in the area. I believe this buffet lunch spot was recently taken over by new management and I checked them out after getting a flyer advertising Spanish food. I’ve eaten there twice so far and I have to say it looks promising. You serve yourself from the buffet and I believe it is $ 6.49 per pound. They have the typical fare as you’d expect. Pernil(Roast Pork Shoulder), Carne Guisada(Beef Stew), Bacalao(Codfish), Pollo Asada(Roast Chicken), Maduros(Sweet plantains) and rice and beans. I had hoped to see Arroz con Gandules(Rice with Pigeon Peas) but they have white or a yellow(Sazon) rice only and red beans on the side. The food is well seasoned and flavored but a little bit dried out, they’re probably not turning over everything so need to figure out scheduling. Hopefully if more people start to go here their stuff will be fresher and they’ll offer more Spanish food. There’s also some different salads and stuff too but it’s still a pretty small offering but Zoni definitely holds promise.

We all come here from work for a quick and sometimes not so quick breakfast before heading into work. The workers 99% of them are friendly. This is the new name of what used to be Kito’s Gourmet Deli. There is now a new owner and new name and even look(the workers wear this weird yellow uniform and hat that makes them look like hotel cleaning people). Anyways, a lot of choices here for breakfast and lunch, they have a salad bar for lunch which serves some spanish food but I have never tried it, my coworkers did and said it wasn’t so bad. They sell pizza and tacos and sandwiches as well. If you’re in the need for a beer then this place is it. A lot of construction workers from around the way especially Empire State building come here for food. Sometimes when you tell the guy your order they forget and ask you again after a few minutes. It can be annoying but at least he asked you again to make sure he gets it right. When ordering a bagel they apparently flatten it when they cut it open with their hand and smear so much cream cheese on it that you can even order another bagel and use that cream cheese to make two meals. The BLT’s used to be good when they had the leafy green lettuce but now they use shredded up iceberg lettuce and it sucks. I guess no more BLT’s for me unless I’m desperate ;(. Taco’s for lunch here are ok, we usually get the steak ones and the hot sauce(green) is actually spicy and good.
