I have been an ongoing customer working in the area. I was here last week on a rainy day,placed my expensive umbrella in the front like everyone else. The second I turned around it was stolen. The employee was not very kind or professional about this being how upset I was. I left my phone number for the manager to call me. Never got a call. It was a terrible experience and they lost me as a customer. They were not empathetic or kind after that incident.

Great selection, and everything is easily viewed with prices on everything. They also have a cool selection of some liquor that I’ve never seen or heard of, so this is a great place to get someone a cool bottle of something as a gift. They have liquor gift sets too (grey goose, gentleman jack, etc). Helpful staff. And 4 refrigerators with chilled wine if you’re thirsty now

The staff here is very nice and offers to help you as you walk in as well as when you’re staring blankly at a wall of widely diverse spirits.
The prices here are great, and it is kept very clean and well organized. They have it organized where the cheaper stuff is grouped together, then against the walls it gets better as you go up (toward the «top shelf»).
If you’re in the area this place is wonderful, and they have a very nice selection of ports.

Last spring wine on nine opened on my block. Probably the best edition to the neighborhood. it’s clean and not too cramped. A lot of the wine shops in the city try to squeeze as much as they can in small little spaces, but wine on nine uses their space very well. I always find something I like and that is affordable. I do sometimes get frustrated when I find a wine I like and then they don’t have it hen I go back, but the staff usually helps in finding something similar. I do love living right next to wine on nine.

Wine on Nine gets a TEN in my book.
This is right around the corner from our apartment, so my boyfriend and I go here often. We prefer this wine/​liquor store over the other, more expensive, less friendly store on the corner of 18th and 8th Avenue.
This store is clean, well organized and has a great selection of lower priced red and white wines (placed in the middle of the store floor). We’ve tried a handful of lower priced bottles of reds that they recommended and have really enjoyed all of them.
We aren’t Napa snobs, but we know when a good red is smooth and light, or husky and flavorful… and that’s enough to know this is a great spot to get wine in the neighborhood.

Broad selection of well priced (cheap — let’s be clear) wines, finally on this patch of 9th avenue. The staff has some work to do on mastering the wine list, but there is hope if you have an idea of what you wanna soak your whines with on ninth.
