I ordered something from them online and when they didn’t have what I wanted they called and I cancelled my order online. They STILLBROUGHTTHEFOOD(I didn’t take it) and I was STILLCHARGEDFORIT. Ridiculous.

Horrible service. Seamless order took an hour longer than stated. Didn’t realize it took that long to get a bagel. Phone number listed goes to a fax machine, so no way to check on the status.

Horrible service. Tried ordering delivery repeatedly and they took 2 – 3 times as long as they said and usually brought the wrong food. This has happened 3 times now and I will not be wasting my time ordering from there again

Had to return twice after the two men behind counter got order wrong. They offered no apology nothing on the house. Will never go back.

My college-aged daughter called this place a hole in the wall. True, but aren’t most places in the East Village. We were looking for a quick meal without having to make a big deal of it. We decided to share the heated up EZZ chicken wrap, a diet coke and chips. We ate at Tompkins Square across the street. For ten bucks, it can’t be beat. This was one of the better meals I had in five days of eating in the East village. The Tompkins Deli is a small grocery store /deli with no seating, but good food at a good price.

The sandwiches and salads are great… I buy lunch here very often! Plus they give you a free soda with your sandwich or salad.

This deli is sooooo dope! It’s got water. It’s got beer. It’s got soda. It’s got everything you need. Except a life.

I like bagels, but not enough to wait in line for 20 minutes. So I ended up here one sunday morning when the bagel place up the street had a line out the door and was running out of flavors. While this place does not have as many choices as a specialty bagel store, the bagel I got was really good and everything I could have wanted. It was quick, cheaper than I would have paid somewhere else and had any topping I would have wanted.(everything bagel, light cream cheese, lettuce, tomato.) I have also come here for coffee a few times since then and like it much better than some other places near by. They also have ice coffee, which is brewed correctly(not watery from ice). They also have sandwiches, salads and a ton of grocery items. I haven’t tried any, but everything looks good and they have a lot of fresh ingredients in the store. Great little deli in the area when most delis look run down and creepy.

A local neighborhood bodega, surely not what the name claims, as it is a far cry from Tompkins Finest Deli in accord to the previous reviewer«not to rave about.» The awning signage states Tompkins Finest Deli for a strong opinionated unable to back up which should be reverted to Tompkins Square Deli. A $.99ATM sits outside for patrons who need immediate cash at hand. Beer is sold at this deli and prepared food is also available. Juice, milk, and soda are well stocked but completely lack in one gallon portions and there is no ice tea available. What I seek is what Tompkins cannot offer for one gallon of ice tea to be consumed by a large party.

Pretty typical neighborhood bodega, nothing to rave about. They sell relatively cheap beer($ 12 for a six-pack of Sierra Nevada), which is what I usually go there for. Quite useful also: the 99c ATM outside.
