Kitty was great! Just had lobster sliders. Delicious. And the special beer. Great service!

Talk about confusing, I recently came here for a friends happy hour and was throughly confused by the bar and a similar named bar across the street. Apparently this is a common mishaps as the hostess of the other bar nicely pointed me to the correct bar when she saw the look of confusion on my face. Overall it was ok, the seating is tight and quick uncomfortable to get in and out of. The staff was attentive and the beers were well priced. Nothing to boast about. It’s a solid midtown happy hour bar.

Why did the chef send me ginormous chicken tenders that were the same size and shape as a man’s privates

THISPLACEISSOAMAZING!!! They have awesome prices, awesome food, great drinks and their staff is on another level. They keep such an eye on you and refill your drinks literally the second that you run out. If you’re in the Midtown area, this pub is honestly a go to place. I cannot say enough great things about it. I wish that I had this exact same pub in my hometown. It’s just so great.

as someone whose white wine of choice is a riesling, i loved their snapdragon california 2014 riesling. yes, it’s not as authentic as my first ever german riesling, but this one was served chilled and was perfect for a breezy spring evening. if you like buffalo wings, you’ll also appreciate their daily rotating flavors. last piece of advice — sit at the bar, and ask for glenn.

Walked over from the hotel on a Saturday evening so it was very busy already. Took a seat at the bar and ordered a drink and a Fish & Chip. Had the feel of a local’s hangout. Plenty of TV’s with different games to watch from the bar. Food arrived pretty quick. Portions were big. It was very tasty. Not greasy and nice layer of breading.

Interesting to go to a place called The Irish Pub and only 5% of the menu is Irish fare. I ended up just ordering the pretzels(which were the frozen kind) with homemade jalapeño cheese sauce(that was really good) and the Irish Pub Amber(which tasted like a domestic bottled beer, nothing special). Staff was great, they all checked on each other’s tables so your beer glass was never empty(which by the way is how a bar makes money… someone should spread the news to he other establishments around the area).

Love this place from the start. Great mix of people and chatty bartenders. Had the corned beef and it was a nice thick cut. Real good. Get a black velvet with magners and start the night out right. Havin a laugh all night long

Stopped by for lunch while out in NYC. Lots of tables, and also a big bar area. Host was kind and sat us at a good table with great view of the TVs. Waitress was really smiley, attentive and quick. Mozzarella sticks for an appetizer, a little too salty. Burger and fries was very filling! Totally recommend for a quick lunch. Overall the bill was a little high for burgers and fries but that’s New York for ya!

My test of an Irish pub is how well they do with Fish and Chips and a Guinness. This is my favorite way to experience a pub and I will go far out of my way for one that does it well. This was just OK(at best). I went on a Thursday at 4 pm. Good group in the place, but no problem getting a table. Lots of TVs of sports activities(including a good soccer game), but not so much that it interfered with your enjoyment. Great service, including immediate seating, immediate dinner service, and someone there to see if I needed another beer when mine got low. And the Guinness was great. The fish and chips, while reasonably good tasting, were nothing to recommend. They came with tartar sauce(usually a bad sign) but malt vinegar was offered(good). The fish itself was completely unseasoned and flavorless, though nicely hot and flaky. The breading was where the cook attempted to show his/her flavor flair, but it didn’t complement the fish very well. It was strangely sitting on a piece of lettuce that was wilted from the heat of the fish and served with a fortunately ignorable tiny cup of cole slaw. The chips were seasoned fries, where the flavor of the coating on the fries really overwhelmed the poor potatoes, and became annoying by the time you got halfway through them. I’ll go back there for a Guinness again, but I’ll have to keep searching for fish and chips.

Normal standard bar in a neighborhood where it seemed really hard to find a decent place for a drink. Everyone said this was literary themed and I didn’t feel it, aside from some books jammed into a crawl space its just your normal bar with TV’s. Lots of after work folk. I ordered at the bar and that was fine, OK beer selection, cheep and with specials some nights. Whiskey and scotch selection is also just OK. Didn’t try the food but it didn’t tempt by the look of it. Instead of staying for one beer more we left even though it was raining ice.

«The biggest mistake I ever made was walking into that Irish pub»…said nobody EVER! Let’s start off by the warm and welcoming feel and atmosphere that slaps you once you cross into the pub. That warm fuzzy is enhanced by the super friendly and personable staff and the earthy décor, not to mention the Irish music throughout and futball on every tv. Our waitress was amazing and gave great recommendations for what to eat and drink. Let me say that the seasonal brew brewed right here is beyond winning! Went with our servers recommendation of the pork sausage… freaking do it! So flavorful and delicious. Also ordered the NY steak Flat bread… holy complicated and complimenting flavors that would bring me back next time I’m in town. Well done Irish Pub! I’ll see you sometime again in the future.

Group of friends and I came across this place because every other place we try to make reservations for was booked(holiday season-Saturday night). We were seated very quickly(5 people) and the place was packed. The waitress recommended the burgers to us. I ordered the fish and chips and the others ordered the veggie burger. The fish and chips were good but nothing special. For $ 18, I imagined I would have gotten a bigger piece(they were smaller than the ones other people had pictured on Unilocal). But the outside was crisp and the meat was good. My fries weren’t crispy but my friends who ordered burgers, their fries were. They also enjoyed their veggie burgers too. But I think overall we said the place is okay(but not bad). I also hoped that the selection of beer they had on tap would be larger. Service was good. Our waitress was nice and attentive and the other workers were very polite. She didn’t split the checks for us(she said she didn’t remember who ordered what), but we gave her separate cards and wrote down how much to charge on each and she had no problems with it.

Restaurant was very busy on a Saturday afternoon, we were accommodated back in a corner as we had our little one with us. Waitstaff was super friendly and attentive. The booths were really comfortable and there’s an overall cozy atmosphere to the bar. We had both the Reuben Sandwhich and Chicken Tenders n Fries. Fries were not served hot, and the chicken tenders were more like fried chicken breasts. I liked the Reuben, meat was nice and tender, probably could have been hotter as well.

Eh. Had the corned beef on rye. Bread was good. Corned beef? Not so much. Asked for mustard and was given Grey Poupon(not kidding). Probably just a good place for a drink.
