One of my all time Happy Places! My fav meal: peach, passion fruit & mango sangria, crostini, Brie, tomato & arugula crêpe & for desert the chocolate, caramel & banana crêpe. Mmmmm. I’d write more, but I’m about to stuff my gullet.

Sweet sangria, savory and sweet crepes, cozy atmosphere? Done and done. Came here on a recommendation from a colleague for my first weekend out in NYC and I’m so glad I did. Told a friend visiting from out of town to meet here — luckily we got a spot inside right before it filled up. It’s cozy, intimate, and great place to catch up over some sweets. There’s a crêpe for everyone here. I definitely loved the white sangria as well. A perfect dessert with my sweet crêpe to finish off a dinner I had right before. Coming back to try more!

Got a salad, it was just ok. My friend got a fig crêpe — it was delicious! Will come back just for that.

First time and very disappointed. The hot chocolate is not a real hot chocolate: it was cold, too sweet. Nothing like chocolate inside. Just sugar ! What a pity especially for 4 dollars !!!

I have gone here countless times and it’s always delicious. They have my favorite savory crepes in NYC! The side salads that come with your crêpe is also quite yummy. They don’t overdress it and the homemade balsamic vinaigrette is perfectly balanced. It’s a small space and you’re definitely cozy next to the table next to you but it’s wonderfully charming and so very NYC. There’s a small little outdoor sidewalk seating area on nice days as well. Formerly cash only, I celebrated when they began taking credit cards. I’ve eaten here both solo with friends and will continue my obsessed zucchini crêpe visits and possibly even try more of the menu.

Stumbled upon this place hunting for dinner in my new neighborhood and was so pleasantly surprised! It’s a tiny little crepiere serving not so tiny crepes. I went with a savory brie and bacon(because bacon.) and it was delicious and also gigantic. I was so pleased with portion size to price ratio, this place is a serious deal serving up delicious noms. The crêpe was light and a little sweet, and the bacon/cheesey goodness on the inside was melted to perfection while still crispy on the bacon front. The sangria is also spot on. I’m not a big sangria person, but whenever a place has a dish/drink that is the«house specialty» I am all about trying it. My friend and I got a carafe to share because it’s a freaking awesome deal and the waiter suggested it not understanding why we’d each get a glass of the same thing when we could get a carafe of it. Fair point. All in all, I’d most definitely come back here because a) I’m not hungry because I wrote about it and b) it was delicious and I need to try a sweet crêpe next.

This has long been a go-to spot for me. It’s cute, conveniently located, and cheap, which is a magical combination. The space is tiny, so it’s best for a one-on-one dinner(this is when I admit that I’ve taken like 50 OkCupid dates here). The food is always good and they have a pretty wide selection of savory and sweet crepes to choose from.

So delicious!!! One of the best crepes in Manhattan. Nutella with vanilla ice cream all the way plus they have decent tea & the staff are lovely. What more could you ask for?

Just get the ‘spec’ which is code for the special sandwich. It is breaded chicken, fresh mozzarella, sautéed spinach, on a delicious bun. I was visiting some friends who live int he East Village and of course I had to try out Crooked Tree. We had mozzarella sticks– probably the best of my life, SO delicious, freshly breaded, and sandwiches with fries. I could have died and went to heaven. The servers are awesome, the ambiance is perfect– would recommend to anyone. and EVERYONE. Just get the«spesh» first. :)

This is a very cute little restaurant! They have a few tables outside, which is where we sat. My friend and I shared two of the salads and they were both good. We also had the sangria which was ok. The prices were all very reasonable. I think we spent about $ 30 total for the two salads and two drinks, which is a great deal.

Came here for lunch because there was a scoutmob deal. There are plenty of tables and even some outside. It was empty the whole time my sister and I were there but it still felt cramped because the tables are so close together. Can’t imagine what it’s like if it’s packed. The waiter was nice and attentive. He even asked if we wanted the door closed since it was chilly out. We got a sandwich and a savory crêpe. Both came with a salad and were decently sized. The lamb and goat cheese crêpe was very creamy, which I liked. Overall the food was good for the price. One thing I didn’t like — most of the crepes on the menu are pretty basic but have the option to add more items, like meat or cheese, for $ 2 or $ 3 more.

CHEAPSAVORY&SWEETSOFTCREPES! portions aren’t big, so if you’ve got an appetite you may want a appetizer or dessert for the savory, each topping you add is JUST $ 1(NOTE it’s probably cheaper to add toppings to a crêpe on the menu THAN pay for the any 3 savory ingredient crêpe) —mushroom crêpe w/added pesto & goat cheese: Mmmm the goat cheese added to this crêpe nicely —zucchini, mozzarella crêpe: not as good, but still yummy! —strawberry banana Nutella crêpe with vanilla ice cream yum —white sangria: not bad and not a bad price seems like this little shop would be a cute brunch spot for which i’d probably add egg to the top of my crêpe!

Cool spot to enjoy a cheap and tasty crêpe. Intimate atmosphere with just about 10 tables. We had two sweet crepes and they were very good. Only $ 4 each which for a sit down place is really cheap. Got a tea which was delicious with the crêpe. Perfect for a casual meal/dessert.

Third time was a charm, but not really, because the food was really prettty weak. First time I tried visiting this place, I walked in at 11:30 and they said they were closed, so I cited the 11am opening on the door and their site, and the guy replied«we might open at 12». Came back the following week, and they were closed for construction until 12:30. Came back the next day at 1pm and they were finally operating, so I redeemed a Scoutmob offer for their goat cheese crêpe(they casually asked if I wanted tomato and basil as if it were included, but they instead ran $ 1.50 extra). Guy either didn’t know how or tried to pull a fast one on my by stating it was a 7% discount, so he hand-wrote in 93% of the cost after validating the deal. Corrected him and explained what«$ 7 max discount» means and he adjusted it, and I forked over about $ 5*. I had to ask the guy to pay, too, as he seemed like he planned to wait until the thing was finally ready(there was one other customer already eating and yet they took forever, and it was stifling and odorous in there). Crêpe looked MUCH better than it tasted, extremely forgettable. Didnt charge me so crêpe, getting cold as ringinup despite no one thetr There’s a frame on the wall stating they«Accept cash, ass, or grass» and text below it stating«We now accept credit cards». There was a card reader yet an ATM in the doorway, so I just parted with $ 4.46 of cash.

This place is a hidden gem. They have really great breakfast foods. I recommend the waffle or a crêpe(duh). They have a rather small and uncomplicated menu. But what really keeps me coming back is the coffee. I’m no coffee snob by any means, but omg this coffee is amazing! Also, the waitstaff is friendly(Hi Zak!) and the spot itself is very cute and charming, especially when weather permits them to open the windows to the dining area.

Read the reviews on Unilocal and decided to give it a try as I was in a mood for crepes. Its a very small restaurant with maybe 15 – 20 seating at most. The atmosphere in there was dark and has an vintage feel. I almost felt claustrophobic as the seatings were squished together in a dark area. They didn’t seem to have a kitchen and the 3 workers there work in the counter area. My friends and I went their on a Wednesday Night at 7:00pm. We didn’t leave until 9 and we were FREEZING the whole time. I don’t know if they didn’t turn on the heat or if it was on low. Additionally, we were for the most part the only customers there with the exception of 1 or 2 other people when we just arrived and when we were about to leave. Another complaint I have is the bathroom doors. The bathrooms has small swinging doors making it hard to enter and locking. Additionally, there is only a tiny walkway to get their and most of the times the workers will be hanging around there which may be a little awkward. For the crepes, I didn’t enjoy my chicken crêpe because I’m not a goat cheese fan. However, I love my mango chocolate crêpe. My friends also enjoyed their crepes. Overall, the crepes are ok although I’m not a fan of the décor and environment.

I came here for dinner with a friend and as soon as we walked in we commented on the relaxing ambiance and décor. We ordered the bruschetta to share and I ordered a crêpe with strawberries and nutella. The bruschetta was very good but lacked mozzarella, which was disappointing for me because i really love fresh mozzarella. The tomato and bread was nicely seasoned and had a great crunch. The crêpe was ok, the crêpe itself was a little too thick and wasn’t as crispy as I had hoped. The nutella and strawberries goes without saying was amazing, how could one go wrong with nutella and fresh fruit.

Tiny spot in the East Village with sweet and savory crepes. The food was good and decently portioned(I am always weary when ordering crepes). We sat outside — just one of two tables. Our waiter was top notch. He was very attentive and surprisingly funny, not in a scripted way. Five stars to that guy. If you’re craving crepes, this is a solid option. It’s small, so try to go at an odd hour to avoid any sort of wait.

You can customize the crepes… Here’s what I got: The mozzarella, basil, tomato, and added chicken and pesto= awesomeness! Side of fries to go with it. Nice thin McDonald’s like fries(without the«guilt»?) It’s a cool small spot, very old style looks like an old speakeasy. Gotta check it. And they got sweet crepes. Bonus is the crepes are made with buckwheat(tasty as hell), which is gluten free. Check it out!

Along my stroll in the East Village, in a search for sweet crepes specifically, The Crooked Tree just beckoned and called to me. The glowing candles, warm atmosphere, cozy ambiance, and romantic vibe made for a very sweet and attractive spot for my partner and I post dinner. The Crooked Tree features both sweet and savory crepes, a series of appetizers, salads, beers and wine. I didn’t get to try it, but they feature a specialty Red Sangria as well. Ultimately, I see no reason for why you wouldn’t appreciate this place on your first visit. I went with an order of the Dolce de Leche with Mixed Fruit($ 8) with an extra side of ice cream. They offer ice cream, bananas or whipped cream at $ 1.50 each as extra add-ons. My guest went with a sweet crêpe as well, the Dolce de Leche with an add-on of bananas. I thoroughly enjoyed my crêpe. The Dolce de Leche added just the right amount of sweetness in contrast to the mixed fruit. The fruit was a mix of fresh green apples, strawberries, kiwi and cantaloupe. The flour of the crêpe was a little thicker than most crepes I’ve had. It was a substantial and filling crêpe, but most importantly, so so delicious. I was glad to have made the decision to come here post dinner; from the food to the service to the ambiance, a pleasant first-time experience overall. Their list of savory crepes plus the specialty Sangria look very appetizing, so I definitely plan to return some time. If you are looking for some good crepes, look no further than The Crooked Tree. For lunch, dinner or dessert, it’s a great restaurant to consider. Very romantic as well, so it is the perfect backdrop for a more intimate occasion. Highly recommend.
