I ordered garlic sauteed vegetables for over $ 12 and they were very mediocre. I guess I shouldn’t have been expecting much but I think I could have prepared a better meal for myself by taking a bag of frozen vegetables and making stir fry in a wok with garlic. Maybe I should have tried a chicken or a noodle dish and I guess my Thai standards are high since I moved to Chelsea from Hells kitchen… BUT i’m probably never ordering here again. Sorry Spice, you didn’t «spice up my life».

Food was sooo good. I love Thai food so I was skeptical about a place that appears to be a chain restaurant of sorts but the food was sooo good. I had vegetable dumplings for an appetizer along with shrimp paid thai and Thai ice tea. My friend had chicken breast over vegetables. His food was good too. I tried it. :) Waitress was attentive. Place was clean. I have no complaints. I will be back.

I frequent here for lunch with my co workers — we love this place. The lunch special is such a great deal! It’s around 10 $ and you get an app and entrée both good sizes. I’ve tried the shrimp dumplings and green salad for appetizers. I’ve also had the drunk man noodles, spicy fried rice, shrimp cashew stir fry, and everything has been great so far.

I like Spice. The lunch menu is awesome. For about the price of going to Chipotle, you get an entrée and an appetizer! The drunken noodle with shrimp is my go to here, and you can go wrong with any of their dumplings or potstickers to start.

Despite a bad reference I had wanted to try Spice as this location is in close proximity to my apt, plus always looked rather inviting from the outside and seems to draw a steady crowd. So I entered with an open mind. I liked the simple ambience and very low lighting. Service was prompt to the table. The shrimp/pork dumplings were pretty gummy but Ok. Basil Thai pork was essentially a tough fatty pork chop sliced; not terribly edible. Overall the food left a lot to be desired given a number of Thai options throughout the city. Although the service was prompt, the vibe was tired and indifferent. A friend joined towards the end of my meal and was not offered anything from the server. Wouldn’t return or recommend.

We ordered in at one of my friends apartment and the pad tai was very good. The apps were also very good. Surprised the reviews are so low… Come on this isn’t people you all pay a low price don’t set your expectations so high. I will order from this place very soon.

I come here regularly and I have few favorites: maekong aged pork chop, their fried rice selection, and the calamari. The noodles including the Pad Thai are kinda greasy but I think that’s how they all make it in comparison with the rest of Thai restaurants that I’ve been to in Manhattan. The crispy fish with a sweet spicy sauce(I forgot the name) is also good but it’s a few bucks over $ 20. The cocktail drinks are interesting with their added Thai twist; however, I always remind them to go easy on the syrup as they tend to make it too sweet. I’m not a fan of their wine selection tho I suggest Sake if you are in the mood for it. Overall, this place is fair and not bad at all for a casual dinner or for a big group on a budget.

The 4 of us trying this because it was open Christmas Eve were all very impressed – excellent, buns, salad, basil and eggplant dishes, chu chee curry duck, etc. Very reasonable prices; generous portions, very good service. Simple décor but clean. Very good choice for before or after Joyce Theater, which is one block away; High Line; or Whitney Museum

The service was very slow, and the food was served a bit colder than it should, as some flavors are better served hot. Overall, the food tasted good, but too average for my taste.

Came by here for the first time yesterday with a few of my friends. Small cozy place, but the food was great! All of the appetizers that my friends and I ordered tasted soooo good, as well as our main dishes. The service was on point, attentive, timely, and friendly. Also, they have some really good pink Sangria for only $ 25 dollars a pitcher, and it comes with a generous amount of fruit. Would love to return here again!

Nov 2nd, 7:30pm. Been here almost an hour, the place is not even packed, only 5 tables and 2 people in each table including our table, we ordered 2 the same dishes, but the food still not here! Told the girl few times already the food still not here! We only ordered 2 Pa-se-ew with tofu, why is taking so long? Everyone is waiting for their food

Stopped by here for dinner at their bar. Decided to try their jade seafood dumplings in peanut sauce and their vegan duck, which literally tasted like real duck! Also had the seafood Hawaiian Ginger and pineapple! The dishes were delicious with unique flavors and our bartender was very nice. The dumplings were not warm enough and when we asked for the duck spicy, we shouldn’t need more hot sauce! If I say burn my mouth, please do so!

I came here for lunch with a medium sized group this past weekend and we sat on the very comfortable and plush black couches as we waited for our table. The wait time was very short, so that was nice. There was a lunch special that cost between $ 8.50−11. For my appetizer I chose the spicy chicken basil wrap, which was not spicy at all(and I would know because I cannot tolerate spiciness). There were 3 wraps total, consisting of chicken, bell peppers, onions with black hoisin and peanut sauce, all sitting on top of iceberg lettuce. I enjoyed this a lot — Plenty of flavor and everything was really fresh. My main course was Seafood Spaghetti Drunk Man which was made out of egg noodles, as well as shrimp, scallop, crab meat, calamari(grilled, not fried), fish(not mentioned on the menu), ground pork, chili, basil and pepper. Now I love dishes with a lot of ingredients, but I think this one had too much. I thought that the crab meat and noodles were kind of bland. I did like the white fish though(not sure what kind) — That was light and tasty. They also have a nice selection of refreshing non alcoholic drinks. I picked the Thai Ice Tea with tapioca bubbles. The Thai Ice Tea itself was deliciously sweet, but the bubbles were undercooked and way too chewy so get the drink without the bubbles. The service was pretty good. The waitress seemed on top of it and gave us separate checks.

Thai cuisine is becoming a bit redundant. It’s time for a change in palette. I only frequent this place when I’m absolutely starving — otherwise, it’s okay.

Came here for a late weekday lunch — not the most enjoyable experience I’ve had. There is a lunch special which is reasonably priced — pick a main and you get a free appetiser of choice for c.$ 10. I ordered an appetiser of pork dumplings(there was 4 small ones, ok not great) and half marinated chicken in lemongrass with jasmine rice abs vegetables. Not sure if it was half marinated or no marinated — could not taste any lemongrass. The first half of the chicken was so dry — had to drench it in chilli and sweet chilli sauce in order to swallow it. The second piece was less dry but still, flavourless. Vegetables, consisting of carrots, broccoli and some chopped up lettuce, was so bland, unpalatable. Only up side is service was friendly and food came out quickly. Would save my pennies if I were you and go elsewhere!

Quality has gone down over the years, but still good food considering the price. I like the Bangkok garlic chicken with vegetables.
