Spaghetti Western(now closed) deserves a shout-out because who knows, the owners may have started up somewhere else and we may want to follow them. This bar/eatery was one of the most eye-popping and stylish in the city(for the type of restaurant which it was). I remember the service not always being great but that can happen anywhere. But just the dining experience: leaded glass with ribbed texture like in a real saloon; old smoky-looking brown wood; sunset-colored paint scheme(again, very old-west) and then just this massive, diverse array of enormous classic movie posters from the spaghetti-western genre itself. It was a rollicking good time for groups and the food was snappy. Sad to hear it has closed sometime within the past few years. Again: I’d go wherever these restauranteurs have a new spot. They had vision!

I was craving a giant country chicken salad with a balsamic reduction from Spaghetti Western and saw it was boarded up. This place isnt stellar. But i’ve been coming here forever. its convenient and decently priced and just up and closed out of nowhere. does anyone know what happened? There is a lot of construction going on this block… wondering if they were ordered to shut down temporarily or if they are gone for good?

Very good lunch spot in the area. Decent selection of beer on tap, which they serve cold. The place is laid back. The restaurant has a very good Art Deco style to it, not many of these left. Interesting clientèle, a bit more seasoned than other places. Never been disappointed yet.

We went on a weekday in the evening after happy hour. I had spaghetti and meatballs, they were good, not great or bad, just good. My friend had the lasagna which wasn’t very good, too much sauce in it and it was too sweet. The customer service isn’t outstanding, they take your order and that’s it, they don’t really pay attention to you after that. It’s a good place to go if you’re just looking for a decent meal, don’t like to have your server checking on you every 5 minutes and you want a semi quiet place where you can sit at your table for a few hours and just chat.

Just had drinks here, no food. Nice old school, 20 foot wooden bar. Was there on a Tuesday night after work. The only folks there other than us was a group of 4 – 540/50ish aged neighborhood guys talking politics and sports. 4 glasses of house red was $ 30 with tip. Bartender was on the phone with his pals so not very attentive but nice when we flagged him down

Spaghetti Western is a favorite watering hole of my office and my only trip there so far was a good one. The place was pretty empty at happy hour o’clock and we had our choice of tables or seats at the bar, which is one of those neat old wooden bars. The place is nice, but not too fancy, and there’s only one TV – a big plus in my book – and it was off to the side so you don’t get distracted. Excellent beers on tap – including Magic Hat – and some microbrew in a can for three bucks. Great service from the bartender, Margot. The food comes highly recommended, too. The place closed up about 10 due to the lack of patrons. Hopefully they are able to keep their doors open for a while so I can go back for an after-work burger to go with a Magic Hat.

Food is only ok and the service is unpleasant. Forced me and companion to sit at bar when other tables were open. Ok for happy hour, but not a destination.
