This quaint little gem in SOHO was a highlight to my first trip to NY! The restaurant itself is warm and cozy, the food is simply amazing and the waitstaff and chef seal the deal. We visited S&V twice for dinner and drinks during our 4 night stay in NY and needless to say we were not disappointed. Not only was the bartender(Kevin) and waitstaff accommodating and attentive but Chef Ramon even popped out of the kitchen to check on us! As I said, Chef Ramon’s creations are SIMPLYAMAZING — I’d say this is the best Italian food I’ve ever had. I can’t wait go back !!!

What a find!!! I have walked by S&V all summer and finally had some time to head over for dinner tonight. What a treat. I was dining alone tonight so I sat at the bar. Kevin the bartender made me feel like I was eating in his own home. It was a great experience from the minute I sat down in this cozy neighborhood spot. The food was amazing and I am a super foodie.(Had the Caprese salad and the Squid ink pasta with octopus and calamari ragu… Deelish! And the Tuscany wine by the glass was a perfect accompaniment. The owner/chef introduced himself and was so kind and welcoming. Can’t wait to return with friends whom I know will appreciate this gem in West Soho/Hudson Square. Molto Bene!

Excellent meal! The wait staff was very attentive and friendly as was the chef who came out with specialty dishes to try. The pasta dish with pepper that wasn’t on the regular menu was probably the best pasta I’ve had in a long time. The pork chop was the best! The desserts are made in house and were excellent. Can’t say enough. We will definitely be back. Our new ‘favorite place’.

Stopped in for a quick bite and left thinking«wow, I’m so glad this is in the neighborhood!» Besides having a great meal and a wonderful martini(I mean, wonderful) the local, intimate vibe and special«from the kitchen» surprises makes this a terrific find. Next to EAR Inn, the owners Barman and Michelle have a special place indeed. Oh, and it’s not going blow your bank either! Tell them Brian sent you!!!

My friend had come into town for the afternoon and had several errands to run in Soho so she had the name of a restaurant which was closed but nearby was Sacco and Vanzetti-it was a nice little place in a non crowded part of Spring Street-West Soho just past the Trump Soho hotel. We sat down inside and the waitress attended to us immediately. My friend got a small caesar salad and chicken parm. I got a salad with mixed greens, dried fruits, wheatberries etc. It was delicious and my friend was very happy with her choice. It was a nice place to happen upon-I would recommend and return

It looked so promising from the Street… nice new restaurant with lots of outdoor seating. Maybe the plastic chairs should have given it away but we still were optimistic. But, after two mediocre starters(calamaretti & mussels) and an overcooked pasta dish which didn’t really have a flavour(cavatelli) we were disappointed. The bronzino was good though… nicely cooked with crispy skin. Maybe it will get better?

Absolutely perfect Italian food. Great service. Great gem found in Manhattan. If you haven’t been there yet. I highly recommend this. You will find authentic Italian food here. The cooks comes out and makes sure that you are satisfied with the food. The owner was extremely nice too. Food was on the house. You can’t beat that.

Tucked away in South Village, this is a great place to satiate your Italian cravings. The calamari was very well done with an outside-the-norm dipping sauce that I found myself dipping the everything in. I had the Chicken Parisian for my main meal and it was very tasty. This is a great place to sit outside and have a glass of wine and enjoy the beautiful NYC evening. I will be returning soon.

Simply because every martyred Anarchist dreams of having a Soho Yuppitorium named after them… they probably blow it up.
