I went here yesterday and had the best burrito of my life. The location is also very charming.

Very unassuming place. Pleasantly surprised by fresh ingredients and excellent food, well-prepared and presented unpretentiously. if you’re early for a show at Theater for the New City,(which I was) you should grab some tacos(which I did).

The customer service over the phone is absolutely TERRIBLE. She hung up on me after she heard me as for the pricing and was rude,

This is a very nice little taqueria on 1st ave in the East Village. The proprietors are really friendly and the food is delicious. They are very quick for pick up orders too. Highly recommended.

Sooooo good. Get the chimichanga. Margarita Pitcher is a good affordable deal. «In the cut» kind of place. Nothing fancy(or nice even) but if feels good and it tastes good so I’m down.

Gave an extra star for overall experience. POSITIVE — chicken tamale was twice the size I’m used to seeing when I order one. Delicious! — chicken taquito were topped with sour cream and fresh tomatoes. It came with healthy portion of guacamole. All on bed thick bed of lettuce. I made into a taquito salad. Delicious! NEGATIVE — each time door opened cold air zipped so sat wearing a coat. — lots of foot traffic due to deliveries and to-go orders(pro boy because people know the place gets cold) — only beer, sangria and sodas I definitely will order delivery from them! Thanks Unilocal for helping me find another great place.

My favorite Mexican joint in the East Village! Their carnitas tacos are always moist and flavorful. One of my favorite dishes is the red pozole soup. It’s the perfect meal for a cold day. The soup comes with tortilla chips, avocado and onions. Also — the family that runs the place is wonderful! So nice and accommodating.

Good, steady Mexican place learning more towards a home-cooked style. Doesn’t skimp on ingredients, even though it’s a little pricier. If you can afford an extra couple dollars for an entrée, skip Chipotle or Zaragoza for this place. Had the carnitas burrito. Carnitas was really flavorful — seems like they roast the pork a bit at least so there’s a bit of delicious roast meat smell there. Guacamole is $ 8 – 9 but guarantees that you’re actually getting enough avocados in there. Service is nice and family-style.

Authentic Mexican food. Food is very homely. A great place to grab a quick bite. The interior is filled with lots of artwork. A very interesting place to be in East Village.

it’s a tiny little café with a big heart. The best Pozole I have ever eaten and delicious mole. Very authentic cooking from Guerrera province.

Authentic Mexican food! It’s a very small, dimly light place, which was empty when we went(it appears they probably get more take out orders than anything there). I got the chorizo quesadillas, which were very good, and my boyfriend got the asada tacos, which were even better. They gave us free chips and salsa while waiting for our order, which were really good; the salsa was very very spicy. Overall, this was a great value. The food was very good, using fresh ingredients, and was cheap.

Get the steak alambres! They are the best. Since my boyfriend introduced me to these I get them EVERY time! So delicious … The service is very good, given this is a tiny tiny place. I’ve never had to wait a crazy amount of time for my food, and never ask twice for something I want(another beverage, extra napkins, hot sauce, etc) Definitely recommend this cute little mexican joint … Oh and the micheladas are on point !

I like Mexican food, having spent an extraordinary amount of time in Mexico traveling and falling in and out of live with one particular person. The food brings me back and forth to a happier time in my late 20’s. This place is fantastic everything I have ever eaten is simple, flavorful and to the point. They have refried bean that are either Black or Pinto!!! They have all types of Mexican beer! A pitcher of Sangria will get you hammered but will not kill your meal. They have Flan and Tres Leches cake which are creamy and just right. The Tamales are with rajas(jalapeanos) Green with chicken or red with pork but they are not dry they are moist!!! They have fish and shrimp tacos!!! They have Burritos from different parts of Mexico. puebla– shredded chicken in Mole Poblano sauce guerrero – Shredded chicken in Pumkin sed sauce! toluca— scrambled eggs with chorizo michoacan– carnitas Carnitas with cactus!!! This place is very special and i hop it stays in business!!!

I’m only giving a 3 star because their Delivery guy suck balls! I have posted pics of the hot mess that I got. For $ 20 bucks(including tip) I would expected something better. I should’ve went to the restaurant to get a new plate but it was freezing out and I was tired after 4 — 12 hrs days in a row. Uuuugghhhh I’m so upset :((otherwise the food is pretty decent. I’m not sure if I want to order for delivery anymore :((I’m so sad. I love Mexican food. Anyone has any other Mexican joints that they would recommend? Around Bellevue hospital or would deliver around that area? Update: Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaand like a mutha!

In a word: average. In forty-one words: This is that unimpressive yet perfectly acceptable Mexican joint that won’t blow you away, but will satisfy your craving for meat, cheese and tortillas slapped together in whatever combination you’re looking for. I’ve had much better, and I’ve had much worse.

Ordered an assortment of tacos the other night and was incredibly impressed. Al pastor had little bits of pineapple in it which I have always secretly wanted, was well seasoned and most importantly, not too dry or fatty. Carnitas is the best I’ve had outside of SoCal. I don’t remember what the others were because my bf scarfed them down too quickly for me to get a sample. Highly recommended for tacos. This place is as good as La Esquina and better in some respects.
