Expensive. And food is not even that good. Service needs to be improved. I wasted my time and money by going there.

Came here for lunch and I was very pleased with the food I had! For starters a client and I had the crispy rice which was topped with tuna and the plate had an aioli; the entire combination was absolutely delicious and refreshing. For my entrée I enjoyed the grilled cheese that had fig and prosciutto and man oh man it was AMAZING!!! We also had the truffle fries to compliment our meal and again simply amazing!!! My only complaint which really isn’t one is that it’s a tad pricey for lunch but the food was delectable nonetheless!!!

I’ll cut to the chase. Excellent wait staff, our waiter Henry had everything cleared from the table and served at the table in a timely manner with appropriate enthusiasm and polished professionalism. The food: Sliders have great flavor but because the creamy nature of the meat the bun can stand to be toasted to add texture. The sushi is pretty good for not being a sushi restaurant however that would not be my go to. Wedge salad was perfect from ratio to the perfectly crisp bacon! A+ Rue. Mussels Dijonase were fantastic, beautiful mussels, hearty, perfectly cooked and a mild sauce. Just lovely! Over all wonderful experience!

Very busy lunch scene. The service was good, but slow. I ordered Mediterranean salad with«seared» salmon. It was good, not great. The salmon was disappointing – cooked ahead of time? My friend enjoyed her French Dip with fries. I am not rushing back.

I was in the mood for sushi and saw that they had one of my favorite dishes — yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño — and decided I would give Rue 57 a try. I ordered the yellowtail along with the Thai spicy tuna roll and waited for my meal. The yellowtail was just OK — not in any way exceptional but not rancid nor completely flavorless. And it turned out that ‘Thai spicy tuna’ just meant that there was a sriracha based sauce covering up the tuna. The service was just abominable. It took a long while before a waiter came to take my order. And when the glass of water I ordered finally showed up as I was 2/3rds done with my sushi. As they were clearing my plates a busboy/server threw down a basket of bread for some mysterious reason. At least my waiter was quick about taking the check so I could get out of there. Which I desperate to do since the restaurant was incredibly loud, packed, and overwhelmed with waiters running by — and occasionally into — my table as they served other people. To add insult to the injury the price was completely out of line — I’ve eaten amazing sushi in midtown restaurants for that price. And eaten fish of equivalent quality in sushi joints for far less money. All that said… and why I gave it two stars instead of one… the aromas coming off the French dishes on the table next to me were just mouth watering. I got there after they started and left before they were finished but it looked like a table of four settling down to do a long lunch with lots of wine, many courses of food, and seemingly attentive waiters. I should have been so lucky.

Ate here on a Sunday morning. Waited 40 minutes for s table that was located at the end of the bar. Had people’s butts in our face the entire time we were eating. It was so crowded that, other than receiving our food, the waiter or busboy never checked back to so much as refill our water. We were totally forgotten about! We had to hunt down the wAiter just to get our bill. The food was not worth the bad experience! z

Cute French bistro, close by Central Park, with a terrific menu of appetizers and main courses. I love their boot seatings, and the overall atmosphere. Food is always delicious. Recently I felt in love with the chicken meatballs. Amazing! Remember to call and reserve a table because it’s often busy, and you might have to wait.

This place is always overly crowded and obnoxiously loud however the food is really good! I started with the spicy tuna fried shrimp it was so decadently good!!! I then had the shrimp risotto which was really good too! My husband has the meatloaf which he really enjoyed, other people in our party had the roast chicken which they stated was one of the best they’d ever had. The finch fries were perfectly crisped and tasty. For dessert we indulged some more and got fried Oreos which were amazing and not to be missed! Great food, ambiance a bit too loud and crazy for my taste.

Had a nice Sunday brunch here. The place was packed around 1pm but we were seated without a wait. The seating was cramped, which definitely affected my experience. It took a half hour to get a high chair and the waiter took his time refilling our water glasses. On the plus side– The food was pretty good and the Bloody Mary was very good. I had the omelette Lyon from the brunch menu and my boyfriend had the lobster hash. I liked his better but was happy with my choice too. His could have used more lobster and mine more Brie and sausage.

They’ve closed down a few of my «go to» diners in the 57th St area. Boo hoo! My new go to place is Rue 57. It is, of course, much higher in quality. Good late night dining after a show. I like the little sliders and their soups. The mussels are superb. I am a mussels aficionado. Trust me here. Good trending to extraordinary. An excellent cheese sauce for some serious dipping. Trust me. What can I say? Is this a great country or what? Have a very nice Thanksgiving and be at peace with all men. Stay on your toes as there is some weird stuff out there.

Everything we ordered tasted great. Service was EXCEPTIONAL. On their service alone, I would’ve given them 10 stars. It really is much more than I had expected and made my experience much more enjoyable. I did not expect much from a touristy area but the restaurant did look charming so I decided to give it a try. I was so happy that I did. Their crème brûlée… was the best I ever had… And the crispy artichoke is a must! But again, I loved everything that I ordered. Oh and the goat cheese they put in their beet salad was REALLY good. It was almost like crème fraîche! I just wish a 2 person table would be bigger… but staff made it manageable.

Expensive for lunch — great location. Good food Reuben $ 18.25 Burger $ 18.25 Benedict $ 16.25 1 glass wine + 1 Bloody Mary and a soda= $ 105 Not a budget friendly restaurant The food was delicious. The portions too big Nice upbeat music Servers not not engaging. Simply order takers. Asst Server poured water in glasses and spilled it all over the table and menus because he did not pick the glasses up — instead he reached over and poured/spilled No server engagement. Simply place food then never came back. 2nd assistant got our check for us and gave our check Very busy restaurant. Went downstairs to restroom and heard someone in the kitchen yelling at the top of his voice screaming — asking«who’s job is it to keep this kitchen running?» Just an uneasy feeling to hear that going on in a busy kitchen. Food came out quickly My egg plate was hot but my food was luke warm. Other meals were really good

Great at atmosphere, fast and attentive service. Food is good, tuna tartare is what I had and side of Brussels sprouts were the best ones I had ever yet have, a la Peche the pear vodka cocktail went well with my meal. Our server Matt was very attentive and nice! For dessert: Vahlrona Chocolate Cake is a must.

Very good!!! Came here with my friend rachel and her father george since it is nearby. The bread was enough to fill us up so we didnt bother ordering appetizers and quickly got to the entrees. We ordered everything to share and it was just downright delicious. Baked chicken was the highlight along with the sauce i dipped the madhed potatoes in(orgasmic). I ate every single string bean and dipped it into the sauce that how good the sauce was! Meatloaf was also very good, a little sweet but very good id have it again, but that chicken sauce WOW! For dessert we had the bread pudding which was also very good but i was so stuffed at this point I could barely even breathe. Id come back!!!

This two floor beautiful French bistro is stylishly decorated and has comfortable outdoor and indoor seating. It has a bar area which doesn’t require ordering food. I have been here a few times and always enjoyed my food and drinks here. Today I had sushi which was good, my favorite are the mussels. It’s a great place to come to after a beautiful walk in Central Park, for a casual date, having dinner with friends or with family. Yes I recommend Rue 57 !

The 2 of us came here around 2pm on a Sunday afternoon. The place was PACKED but we were seated right away. However we were right next to the register so it was quite tight and busy, The menu was huge(including a variety of brunch options) and since this was an impromptu visit, I didn’t have a chance to Unilocal to see what was good. So my hubby went with the Reuben sandwich which comes with a pickle(tasted more like a cucumber) and a potato wedge and I went with the salad which came with tuna, beets, white beans, lentils, green beans, asparagus and a balsamic vinaigrette. I love big salads and this one was certainly large, filling and tasty! The corned beef in the Reuben was tender and not too fatty so it was tasty to me. The total cost came to a little under $ 39 before tip. Service was ok. I had to finally ask for a refill of my water after about 30 minutes of waiting but I did drink it very quickly! Not a bad spot on a Sunday afternoon where not many other places are open. Enjoy!

This was the most expensive meal I had during my recent visit to NYC. The place sells itself as a France meets Japan and eloped to the States. Personally not a big fan of French cuisine, and while I love sushi, what I love, Japanese people likely sneer at for it’s in-authenticity. I had the pan seared dumplings as an appetizer. These were filled with cabbage. While I enjoyed them, they weren’t worth $ 13. I ordered the spicy king crab roll for my main. They used real crab, which is good. But for 8 pieces, it costs $ 21. So price wise, I think I could find a better place that gives me more bang for my buck. We had a great server though. He was attentive. We confused the Ikura(salmon roe) sushi with salmon rose sushi, and he took it back without a fuss. He had the thermostat turned up when my friend complained about feeling cold, as we were seated next to the window. He even changed the vanilla scoop of gelato in our oreo beignets to baci chocolate gelato! And that dessert was bliss. Honestly, I would only go back for the oreo beignets and possibly a drink. Not the one I had ordered that night(it was some Valentine’s day special that they were serving the next day) but I would go back for dessert and drinks. I would not waste my money ordering a meal. But the tempura battered oreos with powdered sugar and baci gelato? That’s definitely worthwhile.
