Had an iced coffee, espresso, salmon salad. Food was good, service by Denise was good. Mint lemon water needed time to flavorize. Shouldn’t serve until someone tasted it for full flavorization. Prices a bit high, $ 14 for the salad, $ 3.20 for the iced coffee, $ 2.50 for the espresso. Times that by 2, and you have a $ 42.90 bill. Definitely NOT liking the tip chart on every receipt. Patio is a bit stuffy. Might be a greenhouse when the sun hits it. Seems like it’s more of a place for the establishment to grow herbs. Wasn’t a bad experience, just NOT a 5 star experience.

We were a group of four on a Wed evening in summer for context: No beer from the menu. No cannoloni, the reason I decided to come. No flatbread when food should have already arrived, almost 30 minutes after we ordered. What a disappointment.

On the way to the Washington Square Art show spotted Romagna and decided to give it a shot. Glad I did. We had the flatbreads for lunch which were freshly made and delicious. There is a huge variety of them. Had the Buffalo capreze and the pesto and Italian sausage. Sat in the rear garden area which is eclectic and attractive. Service was very good. I would definitely return when in area.

My husband can be very selective about his food, and he finally found the lasagna of his dreams here at Romagna. My dish — the pasta with peppered tomato sauce was quite delicious despite the simplicity of the ingredients. Friendly waitstaff was eager to hear what we liked and disliked because the restaurant is still a bit new, and the chef is refining the menu. Because Bleecker St. is packed with people and restaurants, this gem can be easily overlooked, which would be a shame for you because I feel they have the best Italian food in the neighborhood.(We’ve been to 4 Italian restaurants within a 4-block area around Romagna, all of them were only okay). They also have a garden seating area in the back(away from noisy Bleecker Street), which I think is a plus!

In these plain digs, formerly occupied by a short-lived thin-crust pizza place, Romagna makes the most of it with quick, tasty, affordable pastas and sandwiches. It’s made for student budgets(NY student budgets, anyway). You can’t go wrong with the pastas, and it’s not too busy on the earlier side of the evening, less hectic than the mobbed Chloe hub across the street. The café also promises the esoteric piadina flatbread abd other Emilia-Romagna specialties such as balsamic vinegar, parmagiano reggiano cheese, prosciutto di parma, pasta Bolognese. A humble gem for the neighborhood that already has one or two excellent value Italian eateries. I’ll return for that piadina.

I went their high recommendations from a friend horrible service the waitress speak no English. Did not under stand. Cream for coffee butter or the words salt the cook had to translate for her. Had to ask for things 2 or 3 times. Also order Spaghetti carbonara no flavor had to eat lots of salt to even eat it gross. Also my friend ordered a Parmesan burger it was like eating air no flavor. Do not waste your money here

After walking around the neighborhood although a bit hesitant at first we decided to give this place a try. We walked in no problem being seated, once seated we decided to go with a bottle of Chardonnay, not bad Good taste a little on the sweet side. Later on decide to try an Italian beer, odd name(see pic) not bad kinda bitter tasting tho but good different. I believe the waitress said the beer comes from Italy. Appetizers I tried the Burrata Caprese salad, good mozzarella the smaller pieces but the Burrata ball was amazing great taste practically melts into your mouth. We also got a plate of 3 meats comes with pita bread we had the Mortadella, Prosciutto & Italian ham, the mortadella & prosciutto were very good, ham was good as well. Main dish I went with the Tortellini pasta, this was good came in a light cream sauce with sausage not bad odd combo but not bad. My friend had the Skirt steak, steak was good cooked medium very good taste comes on a small salad. As for the restaurant not very big cozy with a bit of a rustic feel to it. Service was good & prices are reasonable.

Tasty awesome tagliatelle with bolognese sauce, strong Italian coffee served hot … Locally owned. This is a must go to! Spotted this gem on my way to get luke warm coffee without a smile and microwaved pastry on Mcdougal street. I was intrigued by their support local not corporate Mansions/lifestyle sign, whilst I was standing in front of what looked like Hipster over priced cup cake place across the street, I Unilocaled them and decided to give them a try. I first off ordered coffee, black. It was perfecto! Hot, strong, in a real cup and fast, then I ordered my late lunch. The food was delicious AND I got to watch a street show on Bleeker street, one of those street scenes that only us New Yorkers pick up on, it made my lunch just so much more perfect. My late lunch was a perfect portion. The tagliatelle was cooked perfect, just enough bolognese, and not a portion that is so overwhelming that you know they are serving you trash. This was a perfect serving, and tasted home made, no bread. I had coffee left and decided to try a dessert, I picked what they made there without cream or cheese, which was the chocolate salami cookies, they were okay, something was missing(probably the cream lol), there was a bit of saran wrap in the cookies… I did not complain seemed like an honest boo boo, and even with something missing and the added saran wrap they were better than the horrible microwaved pastry I would of gotten on Mcdougal. The ambiance is not like the coffee houses, you are not cramped in, freezing, and trying to use a bathroom where you had to breath in to shut the door and then wonder … now how do I do this… I would definitely return again when I am in the area. The area has changed since I first came in the 80’s, few locally owned places still exist so I want to support this wonderful business. I highly recommend for lunch, a lunchie brunch on Sunday, and for dinner, also for a fantastic authentic cup of coffee with a dessert.

This spot is a hidden gem! I threw my best friends 28th birthday dinner here and the owner, Lorenzo totally hooked us up! The place was set up perfectly and everyone had a blast. Not to mention, the food was AMAZING and the service was superb. :) There is also a back patio with outdoor seating in the summertime & a firepit for the winter months. I cant wait to go back and check it out! Highly recommend!!!

This is the best typical fast restaurant of New York City. If u want to known the real italian food taste u have to go there. The Romagna’s food is excellent, the wine is really delicious and the place is very nice. I’ll absolutely come back.

Great find on Bleecker St! Romagna has a local take on authentic Italian food, with a focus on flatbread(piadina) but also offering fresh, flavorful salads, pastas and entrees. We had the smoked salmon salad, penne arrabiata and chicken parmigiana and it was all delicious. Nice selection of wines by the glass. The service was lovely. The space is small but pleasant, with a garden in the back. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice meal and to avoid tourist traps in the neighborhood.

Stopped in here with party of 6 to grab some food before a comedy show. It wasn’t busy, we told them we were on a time crunch, service was still very casual and slow. Food was terrible. I ordered flatbread with avocado, which needed to be piled with salt and red pepper just to taste like something. The dough was undercooked and barely warm. I gave ½ of it to someone who ordered a veggie sandwich type thing that was just raw spinach and raw mushrooms in a nearly-raw flatbread wrap. She sent it back, but didn’t have time to get anything else, since the server brought my meal about 10 – 15 minutes before everyone else’s and by then we had to go. Two others got meatballs, which tasted like they had LOTS of filler and not much meat. Or seasoning/flavoring. Poor. When we finally got the check, the sandwich that was sent back was still on it.

Second time I went back to this place within a week. First time went for some coffee in the evening with friends. we sat in the gorgeous outdoor garden area they had. it was raining but the big umbrellas really helped. I’m a big coffee drinker and have to say that their coffee was on point. Second time was today where I had gone for coffee + lunch. great time as well. when you’re seated they give you some bread, olive oil, sundried tomatoes in an oil, and green olives — all yummy! I sat there for a while doing work on my laptop(free wifi another plus!) and they were super sweet. offered fresh warm bread again as well for lunch I tried the dry pasta which was with a dry pesto sauce and tomatoes. flavors were delicious but the pasta itself was a bit hard. still delicious though! And then a latte(obviously)!

**The QR code discount via email was only 10% so went 15% NYU making the salmon piada roll(don’t often see salmon in these types of joints, especially not the smoked variety, which they don’t mention) $ 8.33. Friendly staff but pretty slow service given how dead lunch was, and an interesting concept with the tiny food menu on the counter and almost as small drink menu over the register. Nice space with brick walls and a garden area in back, but nothing stellar culinarily — piada was dry and pretty bland, smoked salmon fine, charring looked manufactured. Interesting takeout box. **Their site currently has a promo Join our concourse discounts If you are one of the first one hundred people to fill out the form below, you will earn special discounts that are valid any day and at any time for an entire year.
