The food was delicious but the service was very slow and aloof. Perhaps it’s part of the draw of a trendy location in the city.

Came here for brunch to celebrate my best friend finishing her boards for med school. Loved the ambiance, without a doubt. The waitress was very nice as well. She even made me a delicious virgin and vegan Bloody Mary. However, they were extremely eager for us to leave. We knew the time limit for bottomless brunch and adhered to it, but we wanted to sit at the bar and order more drinks but not one bartender would serve us, and even put fake«reserved» signs to deter us from sitting. I thought that was incredibly rude. I was completely sober so I can honestly say none of us were being loud or a nuisance — we simply wanted to spend more time there because we were having such a good time and hadn’t spent time with each other in a while. I understand their table space was limited and in demand but they had space at the bar and we weren’t in anyone’s way. Anyway, many people on the staff(aside from our waitress) were incredibly rude to us after our bottomless brunch was over and I probably would’ve wanted to go back there based on that experience alone — but I probably won’t anymore because of what happened after.

This place was recommended for brunch so I made reservation for 1 pm. I arrived at Revel 12:40 pm. I approached the hostess and she informed me that she wouldn’t be able to sit me until 1 pm while there were plenty of empty tables. In the meantime, I sat at the bar. One o’clock came;so, I went back to the hostess. I tell her that’s it’s already 1 pm. She checks the time and says, «not according my watch.» How rude? I asked her where she is originally from and she tells me that she is Croatian. I’m not stereotyping but I should have gotten her name. I hope the managers read my review and call her attention. The ambiance is nice and I enjoyed the music but the drinks could be a little stronger since they charge so much. Would I go back? No! The hostess made us feel not welcomed.

Revel has been one of my «go to» restaurants in this neighborhood. The dining atmosphere is great– like eating in an outdoor garden. Bridge and tunnel bar scene. A little noisy, but lively. On this last visit, I was surprised to see that the prices on the menu have increased quite a bit. Diner for three cost over $ 100.00 per person– considering I did not have an appetizer nor a drink(the others had one each). None of us had dessert. My favorite, sizzling pork chop now costs $ 30.00 al a carte and has been reduced to one from two. Service was slow and the wait staff minimal. Next time, I will think twice about returning.

I just got back from hosting a party of 7 people at Revel. The food was very good as always however was very disappointed after paying over $ 700 the cocktail drinks were lousy(which was an embarrassment towards my guests). What was unprofessional that as soon as we finished the coffee we were presented with the check basically we were thrown out of the restaurant… If you want to get rid of guests who have paid over $ 700 you should have more tact. PS: we had made reservation 3 days prior to this evening. There is no excuse for this unprofessional behavior. MLC

This place was okay. Nothing special. Drinks are pretty expensive but I guess it’s city prices. The ‘love from a stranger’ drink is really good but it doesn’t taste like they use much alcohol. I had 2 and didn’t feel a thing. For appetizers we got the mozzarella/tomato plates. That was pretty good. They brought us out bread and butter but the bread was room temperature and the butter was COLD and hard. Main dish I ordered the chicken cutlet. That’s all it was. One piece of chicken cutlet on a dish with some lettuce. Presentation wise, it looked crappy. Taste wise, it was OK. Service was ehhh. Our waiter wasn’t really attentive and everything seemed rushed. The place wasn’t even packed but it felt like they were trying to get us out of there ASAP. Nothing to brag about and I probably won’t be back.

For starters, a 20% automatic gratuity on ALL tables!!! Really? The food is mediocre at best. Since when do mimosas have ice in them? And hey! When someone says they being accompanied by a service dog, ITISILLEGAL to ask for«tags». It’s the first sentence in the Americans with Disabilities Act. This place was awful from start to finish. It’s no wonder they just filed for bankruptcy. Tons of other outdoor spaces in the city that are actually competently run and don’t tell you how to tip. You should try one of those.

We had reservations for 17 adults and were seated promptly for our 1pm reservation on a Saturday. The whole restaurant has a very open feel, with loads of natural sunlight during the day. In the back of Revel is a cute brick wall backdrop. Adorable. This may not be an ideal location to catch up with friends as it can be very loud. Revel really is your typical boozy brunch spot. You come here to drink bottomless not-so-good cocktails and eat some not-so-great food to fill your belly. If you actually come here expecting delicious food, you will be sorely disappointed. We all opted for the $ 45 brunch option which consists of a choice of an entrée and bottomless drinks(mimosa, bellini, or white sangria). I ordered the steak and eggs for my entrée. While I ordered my steak to be medium, mine came well-done… not that I was surprised. The steak lacked flavor. My eggs did come out perfect though, over-easy just like I had asked. The fries were eh. I did not enjoy my food. I just ate it because it was in front of me. How sad. Of the three drinks, the mimosa was the best… but that doesn’t say much because even that was no bueno. That being said, this is probably my least favorite of all boozy brunch locations I’ve been to. We were kicked out with the quickness as soon as our two hours were up. That, however, can be forgiven because that is the only way other reservations are able to be seated on time. Either way, I don’t see myself coming back.

Decided on Revel for brunch — food was good, I had the burger based on other recommendations and did not disappoint. Everything from the Sangria, atmosphere, music and staff was great. I would definitely come back again!

Went there late at night(around 11PM). It was crowded around the bar, with plenty of people on the tables. The service was nice and was able to modify a dish per our request. The food was outstanding, and their in-house deserts were delicious.

Nice bar, friendly staff and prompt bar service. Only came for a drink, so can only commend on that aspect of the service and the fact that they had a good wine, beer and spirit selection.

This place has its charm for sure. The look on the outside is nothing once you go in. It’s decorated as if you were eating in a patio. I don’t say it’s an actual indoor patio because everything is plastic. It’s beautiful, I admit. Once you get a table, BEWARE of the fact that there’s gonna be a 20% gratuity included on your tip which by definition means that the servers are not gonna give two shits about serving you on time, getting the orders correctly and/or mKing you feel great. They’ll just ask for the order and bring the check. The food is good, not spectacular. If I pay more than $ 15 for brunch, I expect it to be great. I appreciate the atmosphere and the«vintage meets greenwich» look. It’s located on a fancy area so go in if you’re starving and don’t have a reservation anywhere else.

Revel is on the higher end of meals/drinks you’ll pay for in the city, and with that you expect quality. The service is impeccable, and the dishes delicious, but they don’t go above or beyond. Everything is done the way you’d expect, with no real wow factor. The steak will be cooked perfectly and comes with a pesto sauce, but I could make that at home. The tuna is the same way but with avocado, and I wonder what I’m really paying top dollar for. The side dishes do not come with the meal, and at an extra $ 9 you’d think they’re done in some exotic way. But no, broccoli is broccoli and brussel sprouts are brussel sprouts. The drinks are also marked up significantly, but I suppose that shouldn’t shock me. The outdoor patio is nice, but frankly I don’t know what this place offers that I couldn’t do in my own kitchen at a quarter of the cost(if not less).

I have only visited Revel for a large group event, and tried the drinks, experienced the service, and ate little bites/hors d’oeuvres. I really like the venue because it’s semi-outdoor. During the summer, the back area near the bar is a great venue to host an outdoor event. The staff is friendly and the bar is efficient. I tried the mozzarella & tomato skewers, grilled chicken, and the fried coconut shrimp skewer. I loved the honey sauce that came with the shrimp. Perfect balance of sweet honey/coconut with the shrimp. Mozzarella tasted more like burrata — soft and melt in your mouth. Even though I like the venue and the hors d’oeuvres were delicious, I for some reason don’t really want to ever eat dinner/lunch/brunch here. I looked at the menu online, and don’t think the price is worth it. I also generally don’t like the restaurants in the Meatpacking District…

Upon walking around the Meatpacking district, I literally stumbled into this restaurant.(Ladies, watch your ankles on the cobblestone streets when walking in heels.) I’ve always heard this place was great for Sunday brunch and have wanted to come here, but for a Thursday night it was empty. SOO I sat down to enjoy a meal with my boyfriend anyway; and that we did. Kicking off the long July 4th weekend, everything from the exposed brick to the dim lit ambiance was really nice. I ordered the mushroom ravioli and he had the Cornish chicken with potatoes. Both were good and portions were perfect. After dinner we sat to enjoy our whiskey cocktails and didn’t feel rushed at all. I suspect this place has a much different feel on a Sunday afternoon but for what it was we enjoyed it. Service was good and I can’t say anything bad about the food so I will definitely come back another day.

Come for the ambience during a nice night out. They have a great outdoor area in the back with a bar where a lot of the older crowd comes by after work to enjoy a beer. They also have tables in the back with pretty lights and flowers so if you’re looking for a good date spot, this might be it! It’s not too loud, but not too quiet either. The food however wasn’t that great. We had a salmon tartar which came with pita chips(questionable), but the pita chips were drenched in oil. It was so oily that it made my lips look like it had a coat of shiny lip gloss. I wish they dabbed it in some towels or something. The fish wasn’t very fresh either. Left a fishy aftertaste… The calamari was pretty much the same too. Super oily, but not rubbery so they got something right! The calamari came with a few sprinkle of thinly sliced zucchini fries which tasted better than the calamari to me. The drinks are overpriced and they don’t have a great beer selection. The cocktails are a-okay, but the manager was really great to us since we kept ordering drinks. Our waitress was really busy so she wasn’t very attentive, but that’s okay. it was a thursday night

Despite it being a really busy weekend with Governor’s Ball and so many other events, I was able to get a table from walking in at 3:30. Usually, this place requires reservations, so I highly suggest making one a few weeks in advance! Also knowing it’s a busy weekend, for some reason, my friends and I didn’t get the bottomless mimosa deal and had to order from a pre-fixe menu. This place is similar to Bagatelle with live music(good music from classics to contemporary) and LET’S KEEPRAGING kind of mentality, the ambiance and feel is a bit classier and nicer than Bagatelle. Also, the security and hosts are way nicer than any of the few times I have ever went to Bagatelle. They don’t act like your time is a business compared to the more popular Bagatelle. Okay, I’ll stop comparing, but this place really stole my heart for a day brunch and glad I was able to stumble upon it! With an outdoor garden and seating, this place is great for any nice summer day. With the music pumping and the drinks flowing, my governor’s ball high still kept going! Also, the drinks were on point, despite the waitress forgetting to tell us it’s not bottomless that day. Pitchers are usually 50 – 60 if not bottomless! In terms of food, the calamari and tuna tartare with the crisp chips were very delicious. Other than that, I was not a fan of both main courses I ordered. I ordered the Ravioli Di Mele and loved the meaty sauce, but not a fan of the apple filling. It tasted like mush and just did not go well with the meat sauce at all! Also, my friend ordered the meat lovers omelette, but it was completely vegetarian and the eggs were perfectly cooked and done though! Our server felt so bad about the mistake and just gave us shots to apologize! Despite the food, the place was filled with people in their mid 20s to early 30s and it felt like a day club without the pool and parade of drunk people. With easy access to the bar and great service, I really enjoyed the experience here and would come again to actually try the bottomless brunch! Glad to have found my new brunch spot in the Meat packing district!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon in January. I have to say I am a fan of the boozy brunch. I was in a group of 9 girls and it was nice that they were able to seat everyone, even though I was running late! We had pitchers of unlimited white sangria, mimosas and Bellini. A couple of us ordered the Granny Smith apple ravioli. Absolutely original and delicious. I had the eggs Benedict and it was just OK. They did take awhile with my friend’s order and it was just waffles. The staff was pleasant enough and the DJ that came in around 2(Kris) was sweet, taking pictures of us and sending a bottle of vodka to our table-complimentary for our friend’s birthday. :) I’d recommend this to anyone trying to enjoy a Sunday brunch with plenty of drinks!

This place is pretty awesome based on the outside patio. It has a forest feel but in the middle of the city which is super neat. For $ 40 you can get bottomless mimosas and an entrée. If you just get one mimosa it said it was $ 30. hopefully that was a misprint because that would be way over priced. The food was pretty good as well(I got the benedict). You HAVE to make a reservation for this place. We got super lucky and got a table without one but they told us we could only be there for an hour. They have a two hour max for groups sitting at tables. My one complaint would be that the waitstaff is pretty rude. The hostess was rude and our waitress was rude. Both of them acting like we were an inconvience to them.

Famous for its boozy brunch($ 40 to $ 50 — includes entrée, and lasts 2 hours). This place is good for large groups — there were about 20 of us. Service was good and drinks were brought to the table quickly so you didn’t find yourself having to annoy the staff. I didn’t drink, but still had a great time. Most of the dishes on the menu are standard egg-containing dishes — omelets, etc. If you are not feeling Egg on that particular day, I would instead recommend trying one of their main dishes — «Ravioli de mele» — contains apple and ricotta. They tweaked the dish and made it vegetarian — without the beef. The ravioli was soft, on the sweet side, and cheesy. After seeing what everyone else got, I was very happy with my selection :)
