When we wandered in here around brunch-time last Sunday, the Bertha the very friendly hostess probably didn’t know what to make of us. We’d already had breakfast at a diner up the street, and were now trying to hack Sunday liquor laws by getting booze at a restaurant. I’m sure it raised some red flags, but Bertha didn’t miss a beat. Within a couple of minutes we were set up with 2 Bloody Marys and a bucket of DIY ingredients that really hit the spot. I love the idea of making a Bloody to my personal flavor and spice specifications, and everything I needed was in that bucket. Surprisingly, our weird preference to just drink and not get any brunch food(there’s a very good unlimited boozy brunch deal on offer) managed to charm the hostess just enough to still offer us the basket of mini-muffins, meant for more traditional brunchers, on the house. The muffins were tasty! Between the warmth and personal touch of the hostess and those Bloodys, I can’t for the life of me understand why it doesn’t have a higher rating. It’s a great little neighborhood restaurant.

Early dinner for four on a Friday night and the place was not too busy and everything seemed to come out right.(Ok, the tagliatelle could have used a minute or two more boiling but that didn’t stop me from eating every bit of it). Glass of wine that tasted a bit off was replaced immediately and without question. Pleasant service and an enjoyable time.

Good food but awful service! We Went there for brunch with our French family. The food was really good, especially the complimentary mini muffins. Unfortunately, our waitress was so unprofesionnal. My sister in law asked for fried eggs thinking it would be sunny side up eggs. When the food arrived, she explained to the waitress that it was not what she ordered and actually showed her a picture on google image of fried eggs, which in Europe are sunny side up. My sister in law apologized about the confusion. The waitress kept saying that my sister in law was wrong about the terminology. After explaining the situation to another waiter, my sister in law got her dish. Miscommunication can happen, so we laughed about it. The worst thing was the check! We were a party of 4 and she added a 20% gratuity… On the menu it was written that a 20% gratuity would be added for party of 6 or more. So we asked our waitress what happened. She explained that she always added a 20% gratuity for foreigners(discrimination!). We said that we knew about the gratuity policy in the US. We asked for a new check and when she gave(throw) it to us, she said«If you ve actually lived in New York for 3 years as you pretend you should know the difference between sunny side up and fried egg». Classy. We left 18% because we didn t want to penalized the other workers who also get a share of the tip. Her attitude was unacceptable. It is a shame, as the other workers were actually nice. Our family was very disapointed and felt insulted.

Today would be the third time I’ve been to this restaurant. I’ve never been quite sure why this restaurant’s star reviews is so lackluster. I went here today(we had reservations) with three other people and we were seared immediately despite the head waitress/owner telling us that«she doesn’t seat people unless their entire party is here.» The food is always phenomenal and no one that I’ve ever brought here has ever had a complaint. It also helps that the drinks are unlimited as well! Sometimes you have to wait a little longer for your food, but when it’s a packed restaurant you really don’t mind as the servers are always coming by your table to refill your drinks.(Unlimited bloody Mary’s and mimosas? Yes please!) When you are seated you immediately decide if you want unlimited bloody marys or mimosas. The bloody Mary’s are the best because it comes with a bucket that has all the seasonings you could ever want to make your perfect Mary. The only downside I’ve ever had to being here is the last time I came I ordered the bloody Mary and the head waitress(or who I assume is one of the owners of the establishment) was really off-putting when she declared that the way I seasoned my drink was the wrong way and she insisted on making my Bloody Mary’s herself. In my defense, I was only using the ingredients they put in the bucket to season my drink, so I don’t understand why she gave me such a negative attitude about seasoning it wrong. I liked the drink until she took control…

Food and service were both incredible! Buy one brunch meal and drinks are bottomless. Owner is invested in the happiness of customers

Eh. Overall, not impressed with food or service and will not be back. It started off great with little muffins and hot coffee. Everything was downhill from there. The wait staff was attentive at refilling mimosas — which we didn’t order — yet inattentive at refilling coffee or water. We had to stop the waitress for any requests. She did not actively check in. My eggs were too runny. They have creative types of sausage, but I didn’t care for the taste and would have preferred pork. The portion sizes were small.

I freaking love this place! Bottomless Mimosas with your entrée for Brunch. And specials throughout the week for the excellent wines and pastas. The staff is extremely kind and the owner is out on the floor helping and engaging with the guests. Definitely go check this place out!

Came here for dinner with a couple of colleagues, one of whom lives nearby and is a regular. I liked the atmosphere, the service and the menu. I ordered a salad whose name I cannot remember, but it was crisp and balanced, and the squid ink spaghetti with seafood, which was flavorful but not overwhelming. I would definitely come here again if I was going to be in that part of Manhattan. Decent portions and prices, too! They seem to know the value of the return customer, as they sent over dessert and limoncello after we finished our dinners. It was the first time in a long time that I finished every morsel on my plate — a rousing recommendation in and of itself!

RUDE. We got there shortly after 3:00 pm today after enjoying the street fair on Broadway. While their business hour on Unilocal clearly states 11:00am — 10:30 pm on Sundays, we were RUDELY turned away. The half of the restaurant was obviously filled with patrons; No CLOSED sign or anything; simply was told RUDELY that they are not open and come back at 5:00pm. Completely ruined our Family Funday.

Food always good but staff is so slow it’s highly irritating. Several times I leave table to go to bar to get my own drinks that are sitting there ready to go. They are clueless about what wines they have — don’t go by the wine list.

I came by here for a reunion for a friend who was revisiting the city. When she told me that brunch was going to be at this place, I was confused because it wasn’t one of the typical names that you hear for all-you-can-drink places(i.e. calle ocho, etc). Regardless, I arrived and found my two friends sitting outside and they realized they needed a bigger table. The hostess(manager? waitress?) accommodated us to a larger table to fit our party. Then my friend received a phone call saying that even more people would be joining us, so the restaurant staff helped us move again. It was a bit odd because, yes, we were being ABSOLUTELY annoying to this restaurant by moving not once but TWICE, the waitstaff lady wasn’t… I don’t know how to put this… helping us in the nicest way? She let a bit of her annoyance show through, but still was attempting to help us out. It was a bit awkward, but whatever, they made it work for us. Enough about that. When some other friends joined later, she recognized them as I guess locals and greeted them personally, which was nice. Maybe I’ll be a recognizable face in the future. The table brunch opened with DELICIOUS little muffins. I swear, I ate like 10 of those little guys. I ordered a pandorato for my meal and skipped the aycd mimosas(I stopped drinking at restaurants when unneccessary). The pandorato meal came with two large French toast looking things that were smeared with strawberry jam on top and squeezed with ricotta cheese inside. VERY large meal, or maybe it felt that way after eating all those muffins. Either way, I was very full after the meal and enjoyed it. I wish, however, that the jam was real fruit instead, because that was the impression that I got when I ordered it. It was a nice filling meal and we sat around for a long time even after our meal and the staff didn’t try to kick us out or hurry us along. It was a fine meal and I’m hoping to check it out again! Maybe for that $ 9 pasta dinners. Sounds like my kind of dinner haha.

Fantastic service! We came here for a birthday brunch and were able to chorale 15 people to Regional on Saturday for their brunch special. From the moment we arrived, Jodie made sure we were well taken care of. She welcomed us and greeted us as if we were family. She had the table arranged so that we could get in and out, great people, and so that everyone could socialize. Despite it being fairly busy, she came by several times to socialize, crack jokes, and help us with our drinks. Our glasses were constantly filled, and the make your own Bloody Mary option provided Bloody Mary fans with the chance to build the Bloody Mary to their tastes and spice preference. As a former Upper West Sider, I have to say this is one of the best deals in the area and maybe even in the city. Entrees were reasonably priced around $ 13 – 20 and for just $ 7 dollars you could get unlimited mimosas with fresh squeezed orange juice or make-your-own Bloody Marys. The fact that we were able to get a large group in without having to RSVP weeks in advance was also appreciated. The food was decent and you get a lot for what you pay for. The music(80s and 90s) also was great and brought our table back to the days when we could hang better at brunch. The biggest drawback was that there was only one bathroom so as difficult as it may be during a booze brunch, try not to break the seal until after you leave.

HORRIBLE&RUDESERVICE!!! I have been here three times and left because of bad service. Tonight, after waiting more than 20 minutes for my food, I asked the waiter if it was going to take long. He said«yes» and walked away. Needless to say, so did I!!! And the manager did not seem to care at all. If there was anything less than 1 star, I would choose that. If they don’t know how to run a restaurant, they should just close it.

One of my favorite spots in New York City, especially for brunch. A warm atmosphere with ingredients sourced from all over Italy. Their pastas are to die for. Jodie, the charismatic owner, is so friendly and radiates enthusiasm. They do a bottomless brunch special on weekends, and Jodie circles tables with a pitcher of mimosas, making sure no glass gets lower than half full. Perfect for friends, couples, and families alike. A top destination on the upper west for sure!

Hair in my omelette. It was a decent, fluffy omelette with nice potatoes until that moment; after I swallowed the vomit in my mouth I focused on the happy festivities that brought me to Regional. We were a party of 11 on a rainy winter day, celebrating exciting news and I didn’t want to interrupt with spewage or negativity. But hair in food– gag! Service was mixed. We had a very nice waiter when he was there and a grumpy water guy who would only refill the glasses of those who asked. The drinks do keep on coming here– they have bloody Mary’s and mimosas in premixed pitchers that they keep refilling. My pals said the drinks were inconsistent with booze. You can, though, customize your Bloody Mary with all the seasonings on the table– we had two different types of pepper, chili line tabasco sauce, Worcestershire, salt, and who knows what else in that tin bucket. The brunch menu online has more dishes than the one in the restaurant. When I tried to order off the online menu they said it was really old and they didn’t make those any more. Dear Regionalm, it’s 2015., Update your website! Only one bathroom and not much space to wait outside.

I came here for boozy brunch. In summary unlimited drinks(win!)…food(not so much). The waiters were really great. Our party arrived pretty late and they allowed us to stay at the table, order appetizers and chill while we waited. They made sure our glasses were full and in general were very pleasant. I ordered the steak and eggs and didn’t really like it too much. But for the price of everything I can’t really complain too much. If I went back I would probably get one of the pastas. They have some high tables with tall chairs and then regular tables as well. It’s a pretty small place but looks like they can have some decent sized parties. It was definitely a decent spot for boozy brunch– Id probably go back and try different food. I guess the service and mimosas won me over.

Horribly mis managed. If you are understaffed and busy HELPOUT. Wether you’re hosting, expediting food orders so that people aren’t waiting an hour for an appetizer, or you’re actually taking an order! Possibly even bring over glasses of water to a table! 2 bussers can’t run the whole Restaruant! Your servers are crap they completely ignore tables and once you get them to your table to take your order they act as if you’re bothering them! Now to top this all off, THEFOODISDISGUSTING, INEDIBLE. We had a few bites just to make sure it was nasty! we couldn’t believe it. NEVERAGAIN.

I have to say, I was surprised by so many negative or even so-so reviews, because I LOVED this place! A friend and I went for dinner — it may be that this isn’t the best place for brunch because that’s what people seem to have really ragged on. But I don’t know whether the management really took people’s feedback to hear, but we had a wonderful evening. We were greeted and seated promptly. The server was very nice, and managed to know when to pop over and check in and when to leave us to enjoy our meal and each others’ company perfectly. We shared the arugula salad to begin — I don’t know whether it’s because it’s summer and someone shot out to Jersey for some farm-fresh tomatoes, but the tomato in this salad had to have been one of the most delicious I’ve ever had, no kidding. Main courses: My friend had the pasta with clams, and I had the tonarrelli cacio & pepe, which is basically romano cheese and black pepper. Both dishes were delicious. The tonnarelli dish is rich and it has a kick because of all the pepper — but the combination is wonderful. They also have a fairly good wine selection — we selected the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, and it was delicious. To top it all off? Monday night was $ 9 pasta night. So we had a delicious meal for the price of what we used to pay at Ernie’s(remember Ernie’s?) when I first lived in New York in 1988. Can’t beat that! I’m definitely going back and would recommend this place to others for dinner.

Decent Italian place with a slow service. I was here Friday night with a party of 4 and the place was really only half to 2⁄3 full but it took them quite a while to notice us sitting there before coming to ask for our orders. For a dinner only place the prices aren’t expensive for the area but I didn’t think the food were that great. Especially the Eggplant pasta that I got I thought the eggplants weren’t really cooked that well. The pasta were still bit hard as well. But then I had a taste of the Bolognese and it was quite good as well as taste of the veal plate it was tender and soft although just greasy, so I think its hit or miss with their menus. I think coming here on Monday night would be worth it a lot more as they have a $ 9 pasta plate special that compare to their normal prices of $ 14 – 16 per plate is quite a discount indeed. Especially since their location is relatively convenient to the express subway train. But other than that I don’t think it was that good of an experience to guarantee another visit
