Love love looooove the chocolate fudge brownies! They are to die for! Due to the fact that their cookies are freshly baked, depending on the time you go there may be a wait but it’s always worth it!

Basically a tastier, friendlier version of a Subways, right next to Grand Central. It’s the easiest thing in the world to just pop in the store, go through a 2 — 5 min lineup, and grab a good sandwich. It’s not the most delicious sandwich I’ve ever had in the entire world, sure, but it’s GOOD and it’s consistently so. Staff are super friendly, which is a plus. They always make me the Fireball when I ask for it. They even have shakes!

My biggest complaint is the amount of meat they put on the sandwich. there really is none. it seems like over time the portions get smaller and smaller and smaller but the prices go up. So the bottom line here is if you like a lettuce sandwich this your place. Pathetic!!!

Good tasting food but why call yourself Potbelly if you dont offer any pork sandwiches? Was expecting a cuban sandwich or something.

I’ve been to a couple of different Potbellies in NYC. For the most part they are consistently good. A cut away above Subway or Blimpie. If there is such a thing anymore. Service is on point, orders are always accurate and the quality is there. Their Cookies n Cream Milkshake is outstanding, I take Milkshakes very seriously. If I’m looking for lunch and there is one in the area it’s my first choice. Problem is there are not enough of them in NYC.

Great sandwiches as usual. Service was decent, clean spot, wasn’t too busy when I came here. Slow slow service, which wasn’t good because I missed my train, but I blame myself for even staying– damn to my stomach. I would go here, but not when I’m headed to the train.

My usual there is the«Fireball» sandwich from their secret menu. It’s basically a beef meatballs with chilies and jalapeño; really delicious though. The line can get a bit too long during lunch but it moves rather quickly.

I actually don’t go here anymore, as the service has gotten pretty bad and the food has declined also. The sandwiches are often not hot enough(which is the whole idea of this chain!) and the meat(including my former favorite, the roast beef) is stringy and pretty gross on the whole. The staff used to be friendly, helpful and fun but the past few visits have been quite the opposite. A couple of times an employee literally talked over his shoulder to his co-worker the entire time he was making my sandwich, having to ask me the same questions multiple times. A different visit, I was actually accused of stealing my sandwich. The restaurant was totally empty and while my sandwich was toasting I was asked if I wanted to pay, since it was so quiet. I did this then went back and got my sandwich. As I went to sit down and eat, one employee shouted«Are you ready to pay for that?» I asked what he meant and he made a gesture at the cash register. I told him that I had already paid, before getting my sandwich. He cocked his head like this was the most unlikely thing that he had ever heard. Once the situation was cleared up, nobody bothered to apologize, I was just waved away like it was somehow my fault. After a couple other bad experiences at other Manhattan Potbelly locations, I have to say that their foray into the NYC market seems to be failing pretty bad.

I went here for the first time this week and will not be back again. I ordered the wreck and it being my first time I didn’t exactly know the ordering process and the person taking my order was of no assistance, she embarrassingly shouted at me at one point when she asked me about the the type of bread I wanted because I didn’t understand her the first two times. Way to make the ordering process comfortable for a first time customer. Sandwich was also just okay.

Their sandwiches are good but their delivery service is not so great. One of the admins I work with orders lunch from here for a decent amount of meetings that we hold. They are delivered on time but there is always a part of the order missing. This time it was 3 full sandwiches. The full order was supposed to be here for a noon meeting and yet when called about the missing items it still took 20+ minutes for them to get them out to us. They’re only 2 blocks away. Honestly I don’t know why she keeps ordering from here when there are many other places that show up on time with complete orders and have better fare. Murray’s Cheese comes to mind. Always on time, excellent food, beautiful presentation and no worries. Updated: Knocked it down to one star. After calling back twice I was placated and haven’t received any items or updates after 45 minutes. I don’t know what she meant by «They’re on their way, hon,» because they must be ‘on their way’ into an inter-dimensional portal where I get my order. And don’t call me hon. That’s disrespectful and infantilizing.

Five summers ago, as a lowly intern on Capitol Hill, surrounded by people who casually dropped references to a mysterious place known as the Beltway, homesick for all-black ensembles and a good bagel with a cream cheese to lox ratio of 5:1, I ate at the Foggy Bottom Potbelly’s six days out of the week. It was fast, relatively cheap, and they always carried the best variety of Nantucket Nectar’s. I haven’t touched a Potbelly sandwich until a few days ago, when I truly realized the error of my ways. The Italian and vegetarian are where it’s at … though I’m docking a few points because this one doesn’t carry avocado, the butter of the gods. Potbelly’s also stands a few inches above other sandwich-makers because they have roasted hot peppers, which truly make a sandwich, even the flatbreads, sing. Also, the guy making my sandwich had sandwich-making in his soul, because he was the kindest, happiest sandwich-maker I had ever come across. He agreed with me that the lack of avocado was a grievous offense, and automatically toasted my sandwich without my having to ask, so that the bread was extra crusty and the cheese was extra melty. Man working the Potbelly’s graveyard shift — I salute you.

I don’t usually give 5-stars, but the minute I tried Potbelly, it was love. They have a great efficient method of taking your order, too. The first time I came in, a nice lady approached me with a tablet and took my order so all I had to do was tell them the add-ons at the counter. I must admit I always get the Italian and practically everything on it, but you can also get special things like artichoke added for not much more($.60/special addition) The quality is always on point and tastes delicious. The only nit I’ve had is too much oil, but honestly it depends who you get making your sub, so that’s unfair to judge really. I absolutely love Potbelly and one day I will try out more things, but for now I can’t help but coming back for their nice and toasty Italian subs. If you are looking for a solid lunch, ya gotta go here! YUM!

I cant believe i havent written about this place yet?! I’ve come here before to get a sandwich(obviously) on my lunch break. I’ve chosen the first sandwich item(chicken and cheddar cheese, and i added some good ol’ bacon, lettuce). The sandwich was fantastic!!! They have many sandich options/sizes. I was provided service by the lovely ladies behind the counter(i swear im going to come in and ask for their names just to update this review because they were that freaking nice and wonderful!). The service was friendly and i felt very welcomed. Thank you Potbelly. The only reason the review isnt a perfect 5 stars is because i felt that the sandwich is a bit pricey. For the sandwich alone(no fries, drinks, etc.) it still same out to a little over $ 9.

It’s pricey but the grilled chicken & cheddar is really good. You also get to put other toppings on as you wish. They give you brown mustard here, not yellow or an option of yellow as far as I know so be mindful of that. The sandwich & banana smoothie I had were filling without messing up my sensitive constitution. Not sure if they give you cookies on the straws of smoothies & shakes in general or if someone working there just liked the look of me me but that was a nice touch. Glad I finally tried a Potbelly; I’d go to another one.

I would call this a high-end Subway. They have sandwiches and salads. Not a big selection but good enough. The food is fresh, customized to order, and prices are great for the area. I had the turkey sandwich and it was to my satisfaction. They get busy but have a great and organized system to get people in and out.

1. Guaranteed 8 minute lunch service, even with a line(plus online ordering) 2. Sometimes there’s live music playing during weekday lunch. Today it was an unplugged gentleman playing things like«Hallelujah.» 3. Healthier vegetarian sandwich options than Subway or Panera. 4. The employees are really friendly.

Awesome place! Lunch line can get really bad though. And they have limited seating, so my coworkers and I usually get take out and go back to our office to eat I love getting the Chicken Salad sandwich(I have a hug weakness for chicken and mayo), it’s on point. The sandwiches aren’t long in length, but they are thick. Another thing that’s worth trying is the smoothies. They are delicious and filled with a ton of fat, but totally worth the food coma you’re about to have. Plus, they give you a small cookie on your straw, which is a cute touch. Overall, great place, just make sure to come before the lunch rush.

I am so happy they opened a few in New York since I first found out about this place when I was living in Maryland. My co-workers recommended this spot(while I was living in MD) specifically the roast beef sandwich, and I absolutely loved it and the price isn’t bad at all. It’s really filing and delicious, I like putting every condiments in the sandwich. I also sometimes order A Wreck which has all meats, roast beef, ham etc. I like Potbelly more because of their cookies too, my kids loves them as well. I get the double chocolate or sugar cookie. I also love their chip selections too. The line gets crazy but I would definitely wait on line for this yummy sandwich. P. S. You can order over phone before heading over to the store and just pick it up, no wait on the line just go straight to the pick up counter and your good to go!
