Polo Ralph Lauren

Na was ist das denn mal für ein genialer Shop.
Ich klammere jetzt einfach mal die Marke etwas aus, da man diese eben mag oder auch nicht.
Mir geht es hier um den Shop-​Aufbau und das Feeling, was man hat, wenn man den Laden betritt.
Der Shop ist einfach nur die Show. Alte knorrige Holzregale, hier ein paar Skier als Deko, dort die bekannte Poloschläger in einem Bücherregal und vor den alten Fahrstühlen lodert ein echtes Kaminfeuer, umringt von Tannengrün und Polo-​Shirts.
Der Laden ist sehr vollgepackt mir Waren, aber auch mit Deko, das man beim Lesen dieser Zeilen denken könnte, es handelt sich um einen Ausverkauf in einem Geschäft und weniger um etwas Gemütliches. Doch genau das ist der Store, trotz seiner Fülle ist er gemütlich
Am Besten einfach mal die Foto anschauen, dann versteht man auch leichter, was ich sagen möchte.
Da ich nur zum Schauen hier war, kann ich über den Service wenig.
Ein WC befindet sich im dritten Geschoss, links neben der Kasse und es gibt ein freies WLan im Geschäft.
Zwei weitere gute Argumente bei seinem NYC-​Besuch einmal spontan hier reinzuschneien! :-)

I am rarely compelled to review a retail store but my experience here was so thoroughly irritating I had to share it.
Beautiful store, with lots of the newer RL stuff.
As I approached the counter there were three customers being taken care off by three employees, and five additional employees standing around doing nothing.
After a minute or so, one of them asked what I wanted and it was one of the most awkward, rudest experiences I have ever had in retail. The guys voice was so hood rat I could barely discern his speech as English. When I questioned what he was saying he got angry and insulting.
Go to the Polo store on the upper east side.
Much more representative of the brand.

What can I say. It is a beautiful store. I visited when they first opened. I had purchased Ralph Lauren clothes in retail stores. The prices in this store are out of my league. The clothes for both men and women are great. I love the style and quality is exceptional.
Every now and then I go in to just look and dream. The leather jackets are over $ 1,200.00. I can’t even imagine that people have the money for these clothes. Maybe in my next lifetime!
Now for the disappointment. What does disturb me (and I notice this each time I visit the store) is the picture as you walk up the stairs to the second floor. I find it tasteless and out of character for Ralph Lauren. I also think it shows a lack of oversight or monitoring of how you present your brand. For a lack of better words all I can say is; Mr. Lauren someones daughter is smoking a cigarette in the picture. Is that how you represent your brand? Who is your target audience for your products? I know your customers must have a lot of money to afford what I’ve seen in this store. Do they value their health and that of their daughters?
Please consider taking this picture down. I’d like to see you give off a better image to our youth, especially women. I used to think your brand represented healthy, traditional American lifestyle. I can’t believe I waited so long to let my feelings about this picture come out. Probably because I’ve been too busy trying to care for my own deteriorating health.
PS I’m sorry you’re stepping down. I hope the style and quality of your products does not diminish. Even if I can’t afford anything!

A very nice store to shop during weekends. They have a nearly complete selection of RL goodies. The store is organized and staff are quite attentive and friendly. Recommend.

The shop layout is fresh and the staff helpful. Cannot say I love the clothing… Cannot have everything!
