I went to Poco for a comedy show held in its basement. It’s pretty small and cramped down there so you wouldn’t think there’s a bad seat in the house, but you’d be wrong. Come early if you want to snag the few good, plush seats. more about the downstairs space — they have a lot of things going on in the room… there’s a tv, a bar, some type of forest theme, a disco ball. Now, the comedians I saw were actually pretty good so I had a good time. I can’t speak for the food or anything, but it was a little hard to track down someone who worked there when I first arrived and was looking for some direction as to where I needed to go.

I came out to Poco for my cousin’s birthday brunch this past Saturday, and for a party of 30+ people, the space was SO tiny! We were seated in the ‘basement’, and there was barely any space to move. I feel like from prior experience, most brunch spots are not made for more than a certain amount of people and this was one of those types of spots. I would definitely come back with a much smaller group. Their mac & cheese was SOOYUMMY! And they play great music in the background! The mimosas were not as great as I was expecting — seemed watered down and not a good champagne/OJ balance. I didn’t try the sangria that they provided but knowing my group didn’t request that too often, I’m sure it wasn’t that great. We ordered white sangria though, and that was delicious! Our brunch came out to $ 55 per person(because of the large party), and personally that was not worth it. I would love to come back to turn this review into 4+ stars because it definitely has potential.

BIRTHDAYBOOZYBRUNCH!!! My girlfriends and husband planned my 30th bday here and I was so excited. The place was mobbed, we had reservations for 1pm and didn’t get there till about 115pm. They still honored it! I was so incredibly grateful that they would do that when it was a packed house. My group was 10 of us, they sat us as soon as our whole party arrived and we had a window seat. The table felt as though it was half in and half outside(perfect for airing out my hangover). Our waiter was amazing! We loved him! We did the bottomless drink option and that was taken literally! I ordered the bacon and eggs which were fluffy and perfect, the bacon could have been cooked a little longer, but it’s bacon so how could I not eat it! The bloody Mary’s were wonderful and I was told the sangria(s) were tasty as well. If you’re looking for a fun morning or afternoon brunch with great music and atmosphere this is your spot!

I love it here! the bottomless brunch is a really good deal and the sangria will get you messed up!!! haha. the hostess was so nice and really accommodating. it’s a fun environment and they play good music. go with a group. edit: and I forgot that when they were slightly too busy to refill my friends bottomless mimosas, they just brought us 2 full bottles of champagne instead lol. it’s a really good deal for the money.

I have been here for Brunch twice and both times we had a fantastic time. We didn’t have a reservation so we decided to wait for a table. We went across the street to Mama’s Bar to grab a drink while we waited.(Which was an experience in and of itself.) The wait staff was so nice and accommodating. The food was delicious and the drinks never stopped flowing. And the music was great — awesome energy in the place. We had a minor disagreement with the hostess about«table time»(2 hour table limit). We were seated at 2:30 and being asked to move at 4:00 because a large party was waiting. Our argument was that we had been seated late, so it’s understandable that we aren’t quite done yet and we didn’t appreciate being forced out. After a bit of back an forth, she found us a spot at the bar and our original waiter gave us drinks and he was such a doll. It definitely redeemed the whole situation. And it absolutely will not keep me from coming back. Love this place!

I was invited here for brunch with a few friends to celebrate their graduation from grad school. This part of town is quite a far trip for me so I was a little hesitant to go but I’m glad I did. Poco is on a quiet corner on Avenue B in the East Village. When I first arrived I noticed that the entire footprint of the restaurant is only about 35×35. I knew my group was going to be at least 20 people so I began to wonder where they would fit us all. Even in this tiny restaurant, the hostess managed to fit all of us into one long table that ran against the back wall and one 6 person table that was against a window. We didn’t mind being separated because a few of us would trade seats every once and a while which gave everyone a chance to see each other. The group I was with had to make up about half of the guests on the first floor and somehow or another it never felt cramped. There is a basement that has about the same capacity as the first floor but I wouldn’t have wanted to sit down there — I think the atmosphere is much better upstairs. The menu was a bit small but I guess there really is no need for a huge food selection for brunch. The steak salad I had was excellent but could have used a bit more steak. Not a huge deal and definitely something I will get over. Our unlimited 3 hour drink menu consisted of sangria, mimosas and bloody marys — all of which were excellent. I have heard that sometimes these«boozy brunches» can have watered down drinks but that was not the case here. Overall Poco was well worth the money and the trip and provided a really great experience for everyone in attendance. I would like to give a special thanks to Kodi, one of the waiters who did a really great job tending to all of our needs. He always managed to have what we needed exactly when we needed it. Kodi is not the type to hover over each table — he just knows what it takes to provide excellent hospitality and an awesome brunch experience.

A friend and I came here on a Saturday night and we loved the feel of this restaurant! The waiters are all super nice and friendly and the ambience is great. We got the: Lobster Mac — macaroni is perfectly cooked, and the portion is perfect for 2 – 3 people. It is on the cheesier side though Calamari — really good too! Doesn’t taste overly fried Steak fritters — good, but nothing out of this world Kale salad — NOTBADATALL, and I don’t like getting salads. Overall, they have good food, good drinks, and great service. Perfect for catching up with your friends :)

I came two weeks ago and had a reservation and showed up and the waitress(who seemed stressed and was VERY rude”)told me there was a «mix up» and they only had the bar for brunch. I showed her my message from earlier this week confirming my reservation and she proceeded to stamp away and make me feel very uncomfortable(I made a reservation I showed her my confirmation voicemail I was not trying to hassel my way in) then she told us to wait outside, which we did for 29 minutes.(We also could see her inside complaining and very unhappy) after 49 minutes after our reservation the hostess sat us downstairs(which is fine) however, on the way down she threw her hands Up to her coworker and screams«I’m over this bullshit someone didnt take the reservations correctly and now it’s my problem» We were shocked by her attitude because we were behind her but I mean as a bartender i understand the frustration sometimes Then she seats us downstairs. Slams the menus down and storms away. I know brunch in the city can be stressful but I was shocked! And embarrassed to be honest. I could not believe how the host treated us, especially since we had a reservation and planned ahead a time. It is very unfortunate because I have heard great things about this place.

This is about a month late — but better late than never! My fiancée and I catered food from Poco about a month ago for our engagement party, and as always, their food was fantastic. The lovely Sara helped set us up with menu that catered to everyone’s tastes, and not one person left our place unsatisfied. FYI — the croquettes are absolute crack! Thank you Poco for always delivering amazing service, food, and for helping us make our party memorable!

After reading so many wonderful things about the food, I was so excited to be going there… alas, it was not to be. Between the blasting music and the horrible vomit odor, I couldn’t bear to be in there for more than 5 minutes! First of all, I get having music pumping, but NOT at 3pm on a Saturday… How do they expect people to conversate/socialize over their meal?!? The whole place was yelling at each other trying to compete with it… actually, even if it was a bar/club scene at night, I would be annoyed, way too loud. The only fun(if you could call it that) that I had in the brief visit, was trying to locate where the puddle of puke must have been, as it had stunk so bad in there. I ended up leaving the place and grabbing a slice down the block.

I visited Poco on a Sunday to try out their famous boozy brunch. To begin with, our server brought us a round of mimosas while we were looking over the menu.(Perfect). Of course after reading several reviews, I ordered the lobster mac and cheese and I was not disappointed at all. There’s something for everyone on the menu. Our server was great and made sure we didn’t run out of mimosas! However, getting a reservation at Poco is quite a hassle. I would recommend making a reservation well in advance to avoid the wait.

I have since learned that Poco is actually more well-known for its brunch, but after trying their dinner, it’s hard to believe because that meal was one of the best I have ever had. We ordered a couple appetizers to start. The guacamole lobster with tortilla chips was teeming with lobster pieces and worked surprisingly well with the avocado. If I had a spoon and it was socially appropriate, I would have placed the guac in front of me and dug it out by the spoonful. The fried mushroom truffle balls was perfectly deep-fried: crunchy on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside. The truffle taste worked well with the mushrooms inside. The kitchen also brought out some vegetable dishes that I was very impressed with. The brussel sprouts came in a sizable portion and had a sweeter taste than I am familiar with(still loved it!). My favorite was the fried cauliflower that came with this addicting sauce that I dunked like a crack addict. Never did I ever think that cauliflower could be made so delicious. The beets with coconut yogurt sauce didn’t do much for me, but then again I don’t like beets, so maybe I’m biased. For the entrees we had the pulled pork mac and cheese, the steak lollipops, and the lamb chops. The mac was very cheesy and thick. It was a larger portion than I expected. The cheese is very sharp and the pork adds a nice mellowness to the flavors. The steak lollipops were beautifully drizzled with various sauces and the meat was very soft. The lamb chops were my favorite at only $ 15 — you get 3 large chops that were meaty, juicy, and fatty. Probably one of the best lamb dishes I have ever tried. Totally blown away. Overall, Poco was an amazing experience for dinner and I highly recommend it! Be adventurous with the menu and try out the various tapas style dishes they offer!

I bookmarked this place a long time ago after reading about its«award winning» vegan mac and cheese and finally got to stop by last night to give it a try. There is a lot to love about Poco apart from its famous boozy brunch, including a happy hour that runs until 8 pm during the week(with specials on drinks and tapas) and vegetarian-friendly menu that ensures anyone can find something delicious to eat here. I pretty much made my mind up about what I was going to order before I even arrived, something I seldom do except when the decision is this easy. We started off with a round of manjo mojitos($ 6 at happy hour) — a refreshing and satisfying drink. When our server came around to take our order, she told me that the vegan mac isn’t typically served at dinner but they could accommodate me and prepare the dish special order. It was so nice of them to do this, and this gesture was representative of the overall service experience. The macaroni and cheese arrived piping hot in a generous portion: oversized shells mixed with cashew cheese, roasted cauliflower, sautéed mushrooms, and garlic spinach covered with a crunchy layer of truffled panko breadcrumbs. Although I am someone who speaks largely in overenthusiastic superlatives, I mean this when I say this was some of the BEST vegan mac and cheese I’ve ever had at a restaurant! There was a very mild, sweet undertone to the dish(I believe in the breadcrumb layer) that produced a unique and extremely delicious flavor combination with the other ingredients. Maybe it was the truffle? A hint of maple? I’m not quite sure, but it was definitely all working. The sauce was flavorful without being too heavy, there were ample vegetables to achieve a perfect ratio with the shells, and the $ 14 price tag seemed completely appropriate for the size of the dish. I was very impressed with Poco; such an unassuming spot to serve up a vegan mac and cheese this good. I only wish they had a few more vegan options on their menu, and maybe an option for tapas at happy hour. And as good as the drink was, the glass contained mostly ice so it was a bit meager in portion. Overall, however, I had a great meal here and look forward to coming back in the future(probably for that brunch)!

I absolutely love this place! A friend told me about how much she enjoyed it, so I decided to take my friend visiting NYC there for dinner. We showed up around 8:30 pm and had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but we got to sit at the bar and order drinks. The blood orange mango mojito is a great, classic drink. My friend ordered the black ant kiss; I was a little put off by it at first because it had a jalapeño in it but boy was it delicious once I tried it. We got seated and then ordered some plates to share. The calamari was amazing — not too friend and not rubbery at alllllll. It had a great sauce and peppers with it. The zucchini fries are great. And the skirt steak with potatoes was cooked perfectly and had a great avocado cream sauce. For the amount and quality of food we got, the price is amazing! I would 100% recommend this place for groups of friends, dates, etc. It is cozy and small but has an area downstairs as well where you can hang out and drink.

Make a reservation 2 – 3 days in advance! Their bottomless sangria/mimosa/bloodymary for $ 30 is totally worth it. The server was really sweet and kept checking in to refilling. She even topped is off before we left! Lobster Mac and cheese is great but super heavy. They give you a very generous portion! Better to share IMO I also got the lobster Benedict which was great as well! The mimosas were def the strongest of the brunch drinks. But the white sangria is sweet refreshing!

Loud, crowded but fun. Brunch can be overwhelming, but the bartenders keep the drinks coming and are very personable! The food is ok to good! But you go here with a group of friends to have a good time in a nice atmosphere. Hint: If it is HOT in the summer DONOT eat downstairs unless you have a death wish! It gets hot and I don’t know if the a/c was out of order or if that is just how it is but I went to the restrooms down there and there is no way I would have enjoyed by time there if I had to eat and drink downstairs for more that 2 minutes!

My friend chose this place for her 31st bday brunch in the city. She seemed to have a hard time finding a brunch place that took reservations for 15+ people, but Poco was perfect. Our table was in an L-shape in the lower floor of the restaurant. The décor was a little dark, but very cool with vines and lights on the walls. It was a little snug down there tho and in order for people to get into the inside seats of the L everyone on one side had to get out. People ended up jumping over the back of the booth instead LOL. So the brunch menu is not extensive but everything on it sounds really yummy. Between all of us I think we managed to try just about everything. I ordered the poco benedict, which was perfectly poached eggs over crispy arepa with hollendaise and chorizo sprinkled on top. the potatoes it came with her perfect as well, nice and crispy. The little leafy green salad they gave was blah. not enough dressing on it. My husband got the cure with steak. WOW his was delicious. it was basically breakfast nachos with steak and salsa verde. YUM! The pulled chicken sandwich looked great and the lobster mac and cheese was soooo cheesy and creamy. Some thought it was too much cheese, but I think thats not possible. The mushroom omelet was flurry and looked great as well. The brunch package for large groups was $ 41 for one entrée and unlimited mimosas(best bet IMO), sangria and bloody marys. i am not a bloody drinker, and sangria is too sweet for me, so i went with mimosas. Probably downed about 4 mason jars full of mimosa, so for the $ 41 I think you got your moneys worth. However, as with any large group, people got extras and drinks not part of the brunch package(a round of blood orange mojito shots for the birthday toast, $ 3 each), so when the bill came and we split it we all ended up paying closer to $ 60 each with tax and tip. Still not terrible for a 3 hour boozy brunch in the city at a cool spot in the east village. Right? Haha. not something i can do very often for that amount of money, but we all had a great time and would definitely go back for round 2 in the future.

While trying to find a place to eat on the LES without an hour and a half wait we stumbled upon this place. Honesty surprised that we were seated right away because the food was delicious. We had the calamari and steak lollipops and both were fantastic. The only reason why I wouldn’t give it 5 stars is because it was a bit pricey. Would 100% come again and would recommend.

Poco is good for a wild college booze fest. However, the service was so poor. The server forgot my coffee and then my juice. He also served the wrong dish to the wrong person and my friend already started eating it so he couldn’t swap back. I would only come here to get sloshed.

Great restaurant! The cocktails were cheap(we went on a Friday night, it was 5 $ per cocktail!). Food was excellent– I definitely recommend the bacon wrapped dates and the gambas al ajillo(shrimp) was really great. The service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in tapas!

Great spot for boozy brunch! Came here on a saturday for brunch and the wait was around 45 minutes because it was packed! Got the boozy brunch deal which lasts 1.5 hours and was more than enough time for our party to get the drinks flowing. I rotated between the mimosa and the red/white sangria and they were all delicious. For food, I got the lobster mac & cheese and were they generous. The dish was very decadent and had plenty of lobster chunks. Luckily, I was too full off drinks to finish it and it made a great snack after I woke up from the nap I took after this meal. What really separates this from other boozy brunch spots was the service. The drinks did not stop flowing. Even in such a crowded establishment, the waitress did not miss a beat to take our empty mason jar and come back with one topped off with sangria — so hats off to that. Check this place out and you’ll be sure to leave a bit happier and tipsier than when you entered.

I love this place!!! I had my birthday brunch here with about 15 of my friends and the service was amazing. The food was amazing as was the ambience. We all did the boozy brunch and there was never a time my drink wasn’t full during the full 3 hours. A few of us got there about 15 minutes early and they sat us immediately which was so nice. Our waiter was so awesome and kind. They brought me a complimentary piece of cake with a candle for my birthday it was so sweet. SO happy to have spent my birthday with friends at poco and will definitely be coming back for more!!!

Great service, and great food and drinks. I went for happy hour and had a few tapas: truffle fries, calamaris, lobster mac & cheese, chicken croquettes and sliders. for drinks i tried both the Mango Mojito and the Jalapeño Margarita. They were both great but the Margarita had more flavor in my opinion. Everything was delicious!

We ordered the BBQ pulled pork Mac and cheese. Bad choice get the lobster. Also the lobster guacamole was DELICIOUS. Please get that. There was a piece of plastic in the mac and cheese. We realized it when reheated it At home. :Bathroom Alert: Use the downstairs bathroom not the up. The upstairs smelled like a dead mouse. It was clean but the smell horrible. Now the drinks were not too strong. There is no buybacks. We did get a free shot. Our bartender was cool. But a $ 118 bill for a Tuesday night not cool. The broad city trivia that we attended was cool. It is a nice spot. The host was nice but we didn’t appreciate that she didn’t honor finding us another seat. But then again she probably forgot. We didn’t wait long for our food. We were happy about that. But word of advice don’t expect buy backs I can’t stress this enough. We recommend being downstairs for drink nights. The crowd was very chill.

Food: in my opinion the brunch menu was slightly limited. Three types of eggs Benedict — I got the lobster and it was pretty good. Besides that they have omelets and not too much else… For an hour and a half they have bottomless drinks(mimosas, sangria, bloody Mary’s) for $ 30 Service: not too impressed with the service here from the second I walked in, the hostess asked me to step all the in since it was cold out but I couldn’t because she also had a couple standing in the entryway. We had to keep flagging down the waiter for drink refills and water Ambience: I liked the space, well decorated but too loud to have any conversation, although the the music was good. Cash only and I’d advise you to make a reservation

I give it about four stars because if your looking for a place to have a good time this is it! The only complaint is that it is super loud so i wouldnt suggest this spot if you want to be able to talk to eachother because I had to scream most of my words out. But the music was on point! Made you wanna dance and just atmosphere made you have fun! The staff was attentive with refilling our drinks as we finished them. The hostess was super nice about holding my table because my friends were late. My friends and I got bottomless brunch which was 30 with an entrée, it was a bit expensive because with tip and tax bill came out to 38 each for a group of 3 The lobster mac and cheese was the dish that made everything better and the white sangria. The white sangria was the BEST thing i have ever tasted and def worth drinking about 5 drinks The other dishes are standard but still well made and poached eggs were done perfectly. And i judge a place by its poached egg. This place is super busy so reservations are a DEFINITE! either wise the wait will make you look for another boozy brunch. But the food was good and a great vibe with a hipster/vintage décor and wooden seatings Most important place is CASHONLY~

This review is for brunch only. While nearly impossible to get in for brunch… Unless you are in the know and are willing to book a month in advance. Add to this a cash only policy for the unlimited booze part of the brunch. Poor poco had been burned a few too many times by patrons who after imbibing amnesiac inducing portions of shelf liquor«forgot» they were there at all. Add to that a long line in advance of the noon doors open …It is totally worth it. Why? Poco has the best French toast I have ever had in the world ever. I don’t even like French toast. Whether it’s the butter laden and wickedly sweet pan perdu drenched in a cloud of powdered sugar. Or the bloated and undercooked Texas toast I encountered after ice skating lessons. Poco’s French toast is a generous two slab portion. The topping is reminiscent of the best parts of a crumbly dessert, with bananas and almost savory dulce de leche sauce. The crust of the toast has a micro thin brûlée-esque crisp that breaks away to reveal a sumptuous, soft rich(and not soggy) light citrus centred filling. The cake part of the toast is a cross between a ricotta pancake and the most amazing bread pudding. I got a side of crispy, thick cut bacon that was out of this world. Everything was super affordable. Oh, and the drinks are strong too. Bottomline, $$, time, energy — worth it.

It is about time that I finally got to experience Poco after reading about all the hype. I will explain to you what the hype is all about actually. I’m talking about an upbeat swanky brunch spot with 1.5 hours of unlimited booze from 11 – 5 on Friday through Saturday. You get one entrée and sangria, mimosas, bloody marys which you can switch up as often as you want for only 30 dollars a person. For larger groups they can give you pitchers as opposed to glasses, and you can chill up to 3 hours. Now this place is popular so it is recommended to do reservations, and there is not much of a grace period so do not be late! The hostess was super friendly and did not make us wait long at all. You can sit outside or inside and it is actually two floors. We sat on the lower level where there was flat tv screens and very friendly, quick staff. When I saw the menu I couldn’t help but drool, all the benedict options made my eyes light up. From chorizo, to guac or lobster with home fries and a light salad, I wish I could’ve of ordered all 3. If you don’t like benedict you can opt for an omelet, or just 2 eggs any style. If you are really bold you can opt for the hangover which is a big mountain of crispy tortillas with salsa eggs and a small fee to add chicken or steak if you wish. For those who are anti brunch you can opt for their meaty sandwiches with chicken or steak, which also come with potatoes and greens. In terms of the quality of the benedicts, each of them were perfection. The poco benedict had yummy chorizo with the perfect amount of seasoning, and the guac benedict that came in a yummy warm crispy arepa had a huge mountain of guac, it was very filling and actually quite healthy. The food came super quick and the drinks kept coming and coming [white sangria was a big hit, perfect fruity tones, the mimosas were tangy which went well with the food]. The vibe of this place was a bunch of hip and young adults dressed well ready to gossip their hearts out over the loud top 40’s music that was blasting. It is perfect for a guys day out or girls catching up to chat, and of course to get wasted as fast as possible. Oh and did I mention the bathroom was super clean? major win! Ladies and gents, put on your hottest outfit in your closet and be ready to get sauced [unless you want their 3 – 5 dollar shots or coffee with patron, Frangelico and irish cream: P, why not?!] and p. s. this place is cash only one star is taken off for how small the space is, we felt crammed between tables, they should rearrange the furniture to create more space. The tables for large parties are convenient, but for a party of two I felt squished.

Brunch Review: it’s alright. DRANKS: — Sangria was WEAK. I had 12 cups(I literally was able to count that’s how sober I was, and had to use the restroom 3 times), and I wasn’t feeling tipsy at all. Delicious, yes. Worthy of a boozey brunch status, no. FOOD: — Lobster Benedict: A-OK pretty much sums it all. Wasn’t anything special tasting about it, seemed like something I could make at home. SERVICE: — On point. Our waitress was juggling multiple pitchers of Sangria and Mimosas in her arms, I’m amazed she didn’t spill it all over us. TIPS: — Don’t bring Cronuts from Dominique Ansel, they’ll charge you a cake cutting fee even though we didn’t cut anything! :( — Make reservations(or go to a better brunch place)

Trendy(so stuck up service). Not so great brunch, but at least the drinks were endless. Ketchup was all over the back of our booth so that ruined my damn brand new shirt, but gotta make the best of it right– Still hungry we eventually ate at a wine bar in midtown Which was way more satisfying– overall an okay spot– I could have been happy anywhere else though.

Went there on a Sunday for brunch. Ambience: Place is small with a lower level for large and private parties. They also have outdoor sitting during the warm weather. They play top 40s music. Crowd is in their mid 20s to early 30s. Bathroom line can get quite crazy. Service: Our reservations were for 3:30 but we didn’t get seated till 4pm which was kind of annoying. The hostess was friendly. Our waiter, Adam was amazing. He was friendly and quite funny and was on top of our refills. He truly made the experience better. Brunch: For $ 41 plus tax and tip, you get one brunch dish plus unlimted drinks for 3 hours. The white sangria tastes better when mixed with red, so feel free to ask for both! They also have bloody mary and mimosas. For appetizer, we ordered the lobster guacamole and the lobster mac and cheese. They were both quite yummy but for $ 18 the portion was so tiny. Blend in the water in LIC has lobster mac n cheese that is bigger, yummier and only $ 14. I ordered the Poco Benedict which was described as being served with chorizo but it was really like tiny chorizo bits. The menu also indicated this dish came on a arepa but it was actually polenta and my friends and I were not happy. My friend ordered The Cure and she indicated that it was described totally different than what it was. With that said I actually liked the way the cure tasted compared to my dish. Overall, I would not return but if you end up going there you better pray you get Adam as your waiter because he was amazing. He gets 5 stars yet the food gets 2 stars.

Came to Poco for brunch on a weekend day. Our first mistake was not making a reservation. Thankfully it was a holiday weekend and people seemed to have vacated the city. The brunch isn’t cheap — but for bottomless isn’t actually that bad of a deal! Bottomless mimosas, sangrias, and bloody Mary’s. Service was super personable but slow. Granted the restaurant was packed and we kept knocking back our drinks. Our server finally left pitchers for us. Food was decent — definitely splurge on the lobster. We got to sit outside — it was gorgeous and quieter. Downstairs and inside seemed much louder and a little steamy. Don’t know if I would come when the patio is closed. Overall good boozy brunch but felt very rushed.

My friend picked the place for us to celebrate another friends birthday. The 4 of us had a nice seat, half in and half out. The atmosphere was good. It can get loud with the people talking over the music. The vibe was good. Our waiter cracked a smile while he ordered. At one point he stopped writing because he thought we were done. Lol but of course not. The 4 of us ordered the following: Brussel sprouts: it was tasty with cranberries Fried cauliflower: surprisingly was good Fried calamari: it was ok Skirt Steak: it wasn’t horrible but nothing special Lamb chops: wasn’t gamey at all. It was ok Grilled octopus: horrible. It was so tough. Fries: we got the one with the seasoning. It was ok. Lobster mac and cheese: needed flavor and salt(and I usually complain things are too salty) Chicken paella croquet: nothing paella about this. We didn’t like it at all. Mushroom croquet: again not good Lobster guacamole: it was just ok Red sangria: horrible. What a disappointment. Bad after taste. Not sweet. I should have known the minute that I tasted the sangria that the food would have been horrible. We didn’t even bother trying the 2 desserts that offered.

I wish I could live here. I’m in love with Poco and I don’t care who knows it. This place is worth every extra step you have to take over to avenue B. I’ve been here both for brunch and for Wednesday night trivia(Broad City themed) and have found the food, service and drinks to be no less than outstanding each time. The servers genuinely want you to have a good time, which they express by refilling your unlimited brunch drinks faster than you can blink an eye. Their tapas and sangria special on Tuesday nights is worth every penny of the $ 35 dollars you pay, which includes the extremely delicious truffle fritters and moist sliders. But don’t come here without trying the lobster mac and cheese. Seriously, I want my ashes scattered into this meal. It’s the most amazing thing I have ever tasted in my entire life. And I’ve tasted many, many things.
