I frequented Pizza Paradise years ago and it was some of the best pizza I have had. I was excited to move back to the area and hit up my old spot. Something has definitely changed. The pizza was mediocre at best. It has gone significantly down hill. Hopefully they will get it back to where it used to be soon, because it was very disappointing.

Pizza is not very good: crust has no crunch to it and the whole slice droops too much. The salads, on the other hand, are well-priced and come in generous amounts; great lunch option.

I just ordered a plain cheese pizza from here and it was awful. They delivered it about 10 minutes after I ordered it and was clearly the most hastily made and undercooked pizza I’ve ever seen. I’m about to walk over to make sure that it’s a real place and not some weird guy that makes pizza in his apartment.

I don’t know what else to say other than absolutely delicious and they’re very friendly and reasonably priced.

Haiku #6 …I’m on a lunch break I want a place with options Without spending much Pizza paradise Not on the main avenues In between the blocks They offer a lot Pizza, heros and entrees For a decent price Yet, their salad bar Is cheaper than anywhere In the area You pay per topping They offer two size options Onions and sprouts: free! Buffalo chicken On a slice or in a roll It’s damn amazing! Plenty of seating The staff is calm and friendly Quiet paradise

Hard to enjoy the food when one of the staff refers to you as a maricon and the rest giggle. I’m an old straight male and conservative dresser.

For my inaugural Unilocal review, I had to tip my hat to Pizza Paradise. This isn’t exactly how one might picture paradise — a Persian food stand, a salad counter, and a pizza/pasta hot food bar all crammed into a fluorescent-light filled hole in the wall. But who cares. This is the perfect place to grab a cheap salad(why pay twice as much to be hassled at Chopt or Just Salad?), complete with some tasty garlic knots. The staff is friendly and you never feel rushed. The pizza and persian food are also worth sampling.

Garlic knots are off the hook! This is a stand-by place for our office. $ 7 salads, pasta meals. You name it. The Persian food that just happens to be there is great too!

Pretty average pizza joint. I’d go here more for convenience than for taste. The Sicilian slice is not bad. A little dough heavy, but I like my carbs so I don’t mind that so much. Definitely no atmosphere though, so I recommend grabbing and going.

Two Grandma’s slice at $ 3.00 One iced tea from the fountain at $ 3.00 Totals $ 6.00 without sales tax Quality of pizza is not entirely paradise heaven per se, but with respect to budget it surely is paradise. A budget lunch without thrills of gourmet quality as neither is taste. The iced tea taste more like lemonade which I do not like. Service is efficient after 2pm which pizza does not appear freshly produced. Down the street on Sixth Avenue and 17th Street is Two Bros. Plus for cheap pizza at a better tasting quality. The cashier was able to produce a takeout menu in the absence of a business card where this review spawns the contact information. When inquiring for the name of the pizza I’ve ordered the cashier stated firmly two times pointing to the takeout menu«This is Pizza Paradise!!» So I repeated again what is the name of the pizza? After an agonizing ten minutes later«they’re Grandma’s» as the woman curtails poor communication skills in conjunction with poor customer service handling. One facility exist on premises, albeit, I did not utilize.

So I saw the positive Unilocal reviews and decided to stop by here for a quick lunch. I was going to try a slice of pizza, but decided to go with the chicken parmesan and pasta instead. Wrong decision. The pasta was terrible. The chicken didn’t taste good either. I’ll make sure to skip this place the next time.

Easily the best pizza in Union Sqaure. Sammy has a great deal $ 5.00 for two slices and a soda during lunch which can not be beat. Whether its a plain slice or with toppings, the pizza is amazing. As well, he has one of the cheapest salad bars in the area. Such a great deal for a fresh salad considering other salad bars in the area can charge a lot more for your average salad. Such a nice gem in the area for a quick lunch.

O! Pizza Paradise! Stuck in the middle you are! Down the street is Two Bros., who offers you the cheapest pizza in the area, and then not too far down 6th Ave. sits Maffei Pizza, who has the best slices in the Flatiron. For whatever reason Famous Famiglia opened up in the area, too, trying to usurp your position of «It’s not the cheapest, nor is it the best, but the slices are still good and the dudes who work there are cool, which warrants at least a visit.» The difference is Famous Famiglia wants to convince you it has this quality, but falters with its ostentatious framed photos of B-level celeberties exclaiming how much they don’t have taste buds. Wait, this is a review of Pizza Paradise! Seriously, check this place out. It’s not too often that you get a nice spectrum of pizzerias in an area and Pizza Paradise gives you that pleasant culinary middle-ground.

I had this at least 3 times a week when I worked around there. I always got a salad. The salad guy during the lunch rush is EXPERT. He does no wrong. The older dude/cashier is a pretty good guy too, always asking if I want bread with the salad. To deal with the volume they get there, they have to be expert. Their pizza is pretty ok, priced at 2.25 last time I checked, on par with the rest of Manhattan, except for the 1 dollar pizza up the street on 6th Ave at 2 Bro’s Pizza, which isn’t as good anyway. Go here if you need a really quick bite. Not something I’d chose to eat every day if I had the choice, but I didn’t have a choice, so I was glad Pizza Paradise exists.

Awesome pizza. And if you get there on the early side of lunch time, you realize they make many different pies. Pastas are a solid bet as well as being belt busting. Chicken Parm is 5 stars in my book. I hear the salads are good and cheap. I gave it 4 stars because the AC sucks in there. If you are going to stay and eat, sit in the backroom because the weather is better back there. Definitely come here over Bravo which is around the corner. Better food and better people serving you in Pizza Paradise.

I stop by here for lunch when I visit my company’s NY office. The pizza and pasta are pretty standard, but if you want salads, this is the spot. If you get the small, its definitely small. Enough to feed a rabbit, maybe 2. Spend not even a dollar more and you get the large which can feed a whole colony.

My first pizza spot in New York since visiting from Los Angeles was Pizza Paradise. The pizza was mediocre at best. I tried both sausage, bell pepper pizza and the ricotta, tomato pizza. The sausage, bellpepper pizza was not as flavorful as I’d hoped. The ricotta on the tomato pizza tasted fresh. Though it didn’t help that I had to add red pepper flakes and marinara sauce to add more flavor. I feel bad for rating it 2 stars, but it just wasn’t that great.
