Pizza Nova

Pizza nova is probably the best pizza in Inwood. I’ve tried the pizza from multiple local spots and they are typically greasy, slimy, and/​or poorly done overall. Pizza novas pizza isn’t greasy, tastes decent, and the pizza is soft and doughy, just how I like my pizza to be. The delivery guys are nice and quick. I’ve eaten at the actual place and it’s a small, clean restaurant. I usually buy a large pie, 2 ounce coke and garlic knots for 20 bucks. It’s quite a deal. But, I stand by my original point that it’s the best pizza in Inwood. I’m giving them four stars because I’ve had better pizza, but for the location they have everyone else beat.

Ordered from Here and I must say honestly the pizza leaves much to be desired. In all fairness I ordered the margheritta pizza so I don’t know if there may be a difference with their regular pizza pie. The doe was light and crispy which is good but the sauce and cheese had no flavor at all. I had to add extra Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes to give it some flavor. The buffalo wings were very good. Nice and crispy and not too greasy. I also ordered a slice of tiramisu and sad to say it was frozen, Meaning it wasn’t fresh made but I ate it anyway. It was more like an ice cream cake. Overall the delivery was good and the food was hot which is most important. Not sure if I would order again but I would pick up a slice to try and see if there is a difference.

I really like this place. Friendly service, clean tables, and tasty slices. Their veggie slice is particularly good.

Perfectly fine pizza. I ordered on Seamless and it arrived in 22 minutes. Sauce and cheese were good, but the crust is thicker than I prefer. Less than $ 18 for a large cheese pie after tax and tip.

Killer beef patties!!! You taste the freshness. I have to say I do like the changes they have made. You taste the fresh ingredients. The only thing I would like to see change is the presentation if the food but they make up for it in freshness. Compare to the other pizzerias around this area I think it’s priced just right. My only peeved is that I wish there was bit more sauce. but overall this place is a definite must if your in the Heights.

Not bad. This is my new go to pizza place in the hood. I’ve just lived in way too may neighborhoods with awesome pizza to be impressed here in up up up town. But they’re good. Always crisp and cheesy, but can never taste the sauce. And at $ 2.25, they’re not 2 Bros., but they’re not 2 expensive.
Also, as I write this, this already clean place is being cleaned from top to bottom by a lady with rubber gloves on, and I smell no harsh chemicals. An A+ for sanitation, which is more important than the food or service to me.
AND, I forgot to mention this, but I saw it as I was walking out the door, they have a hand sanitizer station. A++

This is one of my go to pizza places. Fairly cheap slices, great taste and friendly service.

I love this place. Pizza and service are both great. I been a customer since 2005 – 6. They have not changed over time. They do have some type of competition with Jhonny’s up the block on Dyckman st.

I give this 2−½ stars. It is under new management as of two months ago. Be patient as they make changes in their pizza and other items. The owners Anna and Isni people who deserve your good will.

I really like the food here. The pizza is really good and when I have that pizza craving I call them. Although the food is great, their order taking skills could use a little work. More times than not there is something wrong with the order when its gets delivered. I don’t make a big deal, as its usually not a large mistake, but it does get a bit annoying when it happens over and over.
All in all though. The pizza is delicious. I’m an optimist, I’ll keep calling… eventually they’ll get my order right. :)

You know that feeling when you feel dizzy and are about to faint possibly because of dire hunger? Yeah, I am sure you do. So what do you do? Well, you probably go to the nearest place to grab a quick bite. Of course we are all aware this is not always such a good choice to make, but to avoid passing out in the street you do not neglect your body’s thirst for food and you go feed yourself.
So with all of that being said, I walk into Pizza Nova and I did notice on the outdoor sign special it was a little pricey for the area, but like I mentioned before when your body is asking for food you just hurry up and get the damn food. I ordered a slice and in less than a minute I got my pizza. Take into consideration there were no other customers so the service should be fast. On to the pizza. The pizza itself was tasteless. The sauce, wait. what sauce? I do not remember tasting any. This goes down as one of the worst pizza joints in New York for sure. I will not be returning to this overpriced, crappy pizza spot.

The food itself is fine but dealing with their staff is a mind-​boggling experience best left to the extremely patient. The gentleman who answers the phone is either going deaf or speaks very little English… or perhaps both? Every time I have ordered from the Dyckman Street location they have managed to screw up the order somehow, either by delivering the wrong items or forgetting salad dressing, etc. Try Fivo’s instead. Better pizza with prompt delivery.

I want to say that this place has the best pizza in the area, but perhaps that is misleading. The other pizza places in the neighborhood are terrible, and Pizza Nova is generally edible. it’s one of those world’s tallest midget type situations.

We ordered a white pizza and wings the other night for delivery. Both were very good! Everything was fresh and hot. We’re looking forward to trying more food from this place.

The pizza here is terrible (I wanted to rate it 2 and ½ stars) but they have some pretty decent takeout specials like 2 pies for 11 or so dollars.
