It’s a $ 1. It’s thin crust. it’s light. It’s good for satisfying a light craving for food /pizza. Ask for a hot slice — so good!

It’s dollar pizza. It was open late on a Wednesday, it was tasty, it was thin-crust, it was nice. Came here after a concert Wednesday and left with four slices and a drink. for less than five dollars. It’s a clean enough place. You know what you’re getting into when you go to these dollar slice places.

Super fast pizza. Cheap at $ 1.50 per slice and they actually warm up the food appropriately. The broccoli slice is full of vegetables and the pepperoni was hot and a little oily, but that’s what you get with pepperoni. You shouldn’t be expecting gourmet, but for the price and expectations that this place is delivering, it gives a great product. I’ll be here again and again.

I’ve lived all around the US, and I end up in Manhattan frequently for business. Understand when I make this statement, I’m not just being a judgemental New Yorker who takes pride in the special ways New York does pizza… The crust of these pizzas are disgusting. The crusts have a strange after taste that smells like something«old». Shoes, cigars, newspapers… something. No matter your pleasant memories with any of them, these are sad… because they’re in your mouth when you first realize they’re around. For some reason, this pizza reminded me of a cheap yoga mat. The bottom has obvious lines as if it were rolled onto a slatted tray, it’s texture is soft and mushy, and it doesn’t taste all that great. The garlic knots were disappointing. If you went to any grocery store in the US outside of NYC, you could find a pack of dinner roles with the same quality. The sauces that came with the garlic knots were about the thickness of my thumb, and about one joint deep. They offer enough sauce for a single knot in an order of 4. If I’m getting grocery store bread, at least give me butter, powdered garlic, or enough marinera to chase away the shame. But no. Pizza Gaga finds the best things about pizza, and tries hard to avoid them. The only thing positive I can say about this palace is that they have online ordering and delivery from . But don’t bother. They don’t actually put the toppings you ordered on your pizza.

I ordered on seamless, delivery took a reasonable amount of time. The food, plain slice was a bit hard and dried out, not enough sauce or cheese and small for a NYC slice, grandma was okay I guess’ bbq chicken, I don’t know what the meat was but I am not convinced it was chicken, also you do not need to put ½ a bottle of bbq sauce on the slice GROSS I would give 3 stars but this was not average, it was below average. I’m really should give 1 but I’m trying to be nice.

Terrible customer service. We ordered from Seamless the other night and after it was well past the estimated delivery time we called to check in. Whomever answered the phone, was rude and said they were very busy and said they might deliver it. Long story short, we never received our order and we were still charged. There are way too many pizza places in NY and I will never order from here again. Now we are going through the hassle of disputing the charges.

DONOTORDERFROMHERE! I ordered from here on Seamless at around 330am one night after getting home from the bar. The expected delivery time was max 40 minutes. I called after an hour just to make sure they got it and the man working there said 5 minutes. 15 more minutes went by and still no delivery. I called a few more times and he kept telling me it was coming. At 530am, with still no food in hand I wrote to seamless. I finally got a response from Seamless saying how«Our restaurant partner was generous in their(refund)authorization. They attempted delivery on time but when they called, they got no answer. Please make sure that your Seamless account number is current.» GENEROUS??! They made me wait for over 2 hours for a delivery that never came, then lied and said they attempted to deliver and I didn’t pick up my phone(FYI– my phone number on the email confirmation was correct). They never called my phone, or rang the buzzer. They lied, plain and simple. I wouldn’t recommend ordering from here if you actually want/expect to eat the food you choose.

The sign inside says the best pizza slice for $ 1. Well, after having a slice here last night around 3am it wasn’t really the best, but it hit the spot and satisfied my pizza craving after a night of drinking with friends. Typical thin slice, ok crust, could have used more sauce. What the heck, it’s a dollar a slice. At 3am most dollar pizza tastes pretty damn good. At least it’s nice to know there are so many of these spots around the city to help fill our drunken bellies late at night.

I placed an order through Unilocal, and it took me almost 1hr and 30 mins to get my food. The pizza was very cold, and I ended up throwing it out and eating a hot pocket. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

After living in New York for a year and change, it recently hit me that I may actually be becoming a «New Yorker,» which is quite a different thing from just living here. Prior to my move, I already had a thing for bagels and brunch, but now that New York pizza(authentically served on fine paper plates, no less) has become inexplicably appealing to me, I’m practically firing on all cylinders! Last night, on my way home after an NYU Law party, I was determined to indulge in a little hangover-preventative carbo loading. I had my pick, because where the uptown 1 spits you out on 23rd street could be a late-night restaurant row. There are three after-hours eateries sandwiched together: Chelsea Papaya, Pie Face, and this pizza joint, that before today I did not know was charmingly named Pizza Gaga as it has no sign indicating as such. I picked up a slice of Margherita(?) — it had patches of fresh mozz, tomato sauce, and possibly basil ribbons… My memory is a bit hazy, forgive me. I do remember, however, that it set me back $ 2.50 and took a few minutes to be heated up. Once out of the oven, the thin crust was crisped to perfection, with that slightly wood-fired, charred taste that I love, and the dough managed to be hot and chewy but not soggy. I really can’t ask for more from a reheated pizza. It was a bit oily, but nothing that a few napkin dabs can’t take care of(yes, I’m one of those people). And, after a generous shaking of red pepper flakes, it was exactly the late-night snack my taste buds were seeking. So much so, in fact, that I was compelled to order another slice to go.(Ah, the perilous philosophy of inebriated optimists rears its ugly head: «Eat now, gym later.» That this was my worst decision of the night, though, is worth noting.) They didn’t waste any expense on the décor, nor am I saying they should. There are a couple tables and chairs of the plastic variety on limited real estate, and the lighting can’t be flattering, especially for the AM clientele. But at that point, who really cares? I know I’ll be back, but hopefully only sporadically :)

You know how, when you’re outside the city, you can’t find good pizza? Well, this is exactly the type of pizza you mean: basic, solid thin crust, not soggy from over cheesing or oil, and. .. stick to the basics., Cheese, $ 1, Pepperoni, $ 1.50. Or order a whole pie customized to your taste. DON’T let them reheat some tired old pie, though. Don’t. Stick with the fresh, or have them bake you a new one. These guys do it right.

Not horrible, not great. I am still looking for a decent 2 Bros competitor in the $ 0.99 slice category. I came during lunch and had to wait five minutes for a cheese slice. If you know you are busy at lunch, why not make more cheese slices? When it did come out, the did not let it settle for long enough and the cheese lava just flew off the slice, even with the NY Fold. I also burned my mouth :/ The search continues…

Quick delivery. Very good — typical dollar slice pizza. The sauce is maybe too acidic, because it seems to give some indigestion. But it didn’t bother the kids. A good deal for me, they have a dinner special on large pies, five dollars off before 6PM

Pizza Gaga. Oh how I love that I can wander in here after the bars close and get nice and sober. Just like the other $ 1 slice restaurants taht have proliferated in the past couple of years, this is convenient, has relatively short lines and is pretty bare with its decorations. However, Pizza Gaga does offer a wider variety of specialty slices and other foods besides pizza! So if you’re not hungry for pizza(though, that defeats the purpose of walking in to a pizzera) you have a multiude of options. My specific draw to this place is that the pizza has a little spice to it. I dunno what they season the dough or sauce with, but it. is. good. Can’t wait for the next morning I get to stop by. There is seating for up to about 10 – 15 people, thought 15 will be a little tight. It is nice and bright inside. I am unaware of their health inspection rating. Those minor details are left to the side when you are hungry at 4:00am in the morning.

This is, by far, the most awful choice among the hundreds of other pizza places in a 10 block radius. If you want to be verbally abused by the staff in order to get substandard fare, this is your spot. If not — AVOIDTHISPLACEATALLCOSTS. Fair warning, kids. You don’t have to listen to my review, but I promise you that you’ll wish you had.

Ordered through Seamless from them and waited for over an hour. After calling them, the manager claimed that they had attempted to deliver my order and even knocked on my door. I didn’t hear a thing all night and requested to either 1.) re-deliver my order or 2.) cancel the order and refund me my money. They refused to do either stating that it was my fault for not answering my door and that my food had already been tossed out. I had to contact Seamless for the refund but I will never be ordering from these guys again.

So I’m not sure how this pizza is «fresh», but I’m reviewing the za I got delivered. It took an 1 hour, 25 minutes to arrive, and was rubbery and cold when I finally got it. Called twice, guy on the phone was really rude. told me it was on its way for 45 minutes. This pizza was not worth it… I had to re-cook it in the oven, and was still just so-so. It was filled with huge crust bubbles. Just not a quality NY pizza. horrible customer service. Yes, I said it. In a city that has NO customer service it’s rare people comment on it because rudeness is just acceptable here. This place is no different.

I quite like Pizza Gaga — right next to the ½ stop at 23rd street, it is a quick place to grab a bite. There are a couple other pizza joints in the area but this is by far the best one. The cheese and tomato are in good proportion and i love their mushroom slices. in fact, i usually judge people by the mushroom slices, and they do well on it — lots of mushrooms, not cheap about it. leaving you would a good feeling. open till midnight most nights which is great — i only wish it was open longer on fridays/saturdays so i could stumble in for evening snacks.

I don’t think Lady Gaga owns Pizza Gaga, but the instant association and resultant curiosity is about the only reason I can think of to name it thus.(Alternatively, the owner is living under a rock and has just picked a very unfortunate time to finally open a business and break out the name s/he always wanted.) I’ll admit the name provided an initial source of curiosity, although wandering around Chelsea and noticing that their pizza slices looked better than a bunch of the surrounding options ultimately led me to make a purchase. Once entering though, it’s just a standard pizzeria with a $ 5 credit card minimum, nothing particularly of note in décor or dress code or cleanliness level or overabundance or lack of fellow patrons. I’m still not sure I appreciate the association of the oddly named«grandma»($ 3.50) slice, a Sicilian-style margherita variant replete with basil, but given the namesake, I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised by offbeat monikers. The slice itself was a bit too browned and tasted of ever-so-slightly burnt dough but besides that passed as a sufficient mid-evening snack. At the relatively high price point, I’d try another option within walking distance before I’d cycle back to granting Pizza Gaga another spin… er, listen… er, shot.
