Went here after a night out on the town. My friend and I came to to grab a couple slices to help soak up the alcohol and this place fit the bill. Was the pizza amazing? No, but it was pretty decent and was super satisfying after a couple hours of drinking. If you’re looking for gourmet pizza, you should probably pass – but if you’re just looking to satisfy a hunger craving late night, you probably won’t be disappointed.

I have a love hate relationship with this place. Sometimes I get pizza that is the best tasting pizza you can find at a counter pizza shop. Other times they give you pizza that looked like it was in a war. I didn’t mind too much but when the guy sat down next to me and had the freshest and perfect pizza I was a little jealous. So next time I know I will just need to ask what the cheese pizza is like at that moment. Does it look like it went through a war zone, or does it look like something even a super model would eat?

Came in here for some late night, post-clubbing pizza. I ordered the Caprese and my friend got kale and mushroom. Both were flavorful and well portioned!

I have lived in NYC my entire life and I had to guess, I have eaten NYC style pizza at probably 200+ different pizzerias. I am not going to say that this pizza was the worst, but it certainly comes close. I ordered two margarita slices and my wife a slice of chicken and broccoli. The crust was very thin and flavorless. I felt as if I was eating matzah bread only made with very fine sawdust. My wife immediately complained that the cheese in her slice tasted artificial. We both covered our slices in a layer of garlic powder because they were also pretty much without flavor. So, maybe not the worst, but definitely on the bottom 10.

Story time! I once went to an Asian restaurant, one of those gross China buffets that have unlimited portions of delicacies like«bad noodles», «bad chicken», «bad rice», and«bad fish.» But in the corner, the least scary part to my small child brain, was something out of place — PIZZA. I tried it. It was horrible. But here’s the thing — you can’t judge the Asian Buffet by their pizza, right? Why go if you’re going to eat pizza? So I’ve been to Pizza23 twice. Once I got an amazing slice of margarita. The other time I got a slice of «buffalo» «chicken» pizza that is currently(as of this writing) residing in the garbage. It tasted like someone took a McNugget, except instead of frying it in normal oil they maybe put some buffalo sauce in the fryer too. Anyway, it was all kinds of bad. But here’s the thing: they have a really good margarita slice! Maybe I just shouldn’t have gone off-roading like I did. Maybe I should just have stuck to the plan and gotten a margarita slice. So obviously they can’t get higher than 3 stars because of that«buffalo» «chicken» slice, but the margarita was good. Enjoy.

Someone said the seating is rad? You nuts? There’s virtually no seating. It’s cramped and tiny and uncomfortable. The ambience is great? There is none! In summer, with the doors open and oven going, it’s a brutal sauna. The employees are slightly odd, can’t put my finger on it, but are nice to you if you’re nice to them. No reason not to be nice. Prices $$$. Regular cheese pies pretty good, great one day, average the next. They use yummy cheese. A little too oily some days. Better than a few other local spots.

Great NY slices. Super days delivery even on rainy days. The slices are amazing. Good tomato sauce, not greasy, and huge!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Waited almost 2 hours for a seamless order; when I called to check on it, the person on the phone kept telling me I should cancel the order. I called seamless to speak about this issue, and while I was on the phone, the delivery guy decided to NOT deliver my order. No one was answering the phone at the restaurant: WORST delivery experience EVER. DONOTEATHEREORSUPPORTTHISPLACE. Worst customer service ever. I worked in a restaurant for five years so I am quite sympathetic and this is absolutely unacceptable.

The dudes are rad. Seating is great. Ziti pizza rules. Prices are great. Wish I came here earlier instead of my last night! Many great menu items.

Small place, more to take-out and that, but the pizza was great in flavor, I tried two slices of mozarella and tomato sauce one, it was very crunchy :) Slices are not cheap like other places uptown

After a friend kept raving about the margarita pizza here I decided to give it a shot. I had a margarita slice w extra basil, pepperoni and mushroom slice. I also got a diet coke and it was $ 10. I thought it was pretty good but not the most amazing pizza I ever had. The extra basil really added to the slice! It’s a small place and has limited seating. Also they don’t have a bathroom. So if you are in a hurry and want a quick slice it’s def a solid place to try.

This establishment cannot compare to its east side sister restaurant(which is amazing). I have been going here for about 4 years, merely out of convenience. The pizza is never actually hot, and typically burned/charred. I don’t think the staff here has any clue what customer service is, they are just rude. It’s sad to see a brick oven go to waste, hopefully an experienced operator will take over one day.

This place used to be great when it was Brick oven pizza. Hygiene, customer service and cleanliness of the place leave much to be desired. I noticed the guy handling the dough also handled the money and not once sanitized his hands. When I brought this up he said«There are other pizza joints in the hood, why don’t you go there». He was absolutely right, why should I pay my good money here knowing they don’t follow good food handling rules? On top of it the dude was slightly drunk and rude. Never going back there.

Sad to see so many ho hum reviews on this place. Stopped here about 11 pm wanting something greasy after a concert and we weren’t disappointed. The cashier was super nice we got 3 slices of pizza and they hit the spot. For 3 slices(2 cheese, 1 pep) and a large drink our total was 11 bucks. Easy, fast, convenient and yummy. Works for us.

Customer service here is a JOKE. My boyfriend bought a chicken roll and asked for a to-go box. They said, «No. We only provide a box for two slices or more.» He said, «But the chicken roll costs as much as two slices.» They refused again, looked at us like we were out of our minds and were beyond rude. Also the roll was bland and saucesless and dry. Forget this joint. Yuck. All-around yuck.

I went just before a TriBeCa film festival movie and there were a few people. The location is very small but the cashier was very nice. The pizza was pretty good. Nothing out of the ordinary but good nonetheless.

I have had a decent slice here before multiple times but just ordered two slices and was charged more than 9 bucks one slice of which was basic margarita. I didn’t say a word but my response was enough and he looked at me and said that’s right 9 bucks. I said wow really for two slices?! Ive never paid that for two slices here. His response was«man you’re getting old!» Okkkkkkk tiger.

Good spot for quality pizza. Short on atmosphere, but they sell tasty Margherita slices for $ 3.50 each. Hard to beat.
