What an entirely sad experience. The space is like stepping back in time into an outdated restaurant experience. The food similarly is lacking in imagination and taste. Very average, which would be ok if it weren’t for the outlandish prices which average $ 25 for a plate of pasta. I would be fine with this if I were eating better food in a nicer setting. Do not plan to re-visit.

This is gem of a place. Put it on your list for NYC. Beautiful dining room, awesome service, delicious food. They suffer from a huge scaffolding outside. You won’t see it unless you’re looking for it. There are two parking garages on the block, so there’s plenty parking available. Dan, the chef is awesome and the staff is top notch.

Delicious food and very accommodating for groups. We had 35 family members together for an excellent and fairly priced meal.

Piccolo Fiore was recommended by the concierge at our hotel. We asked for an elegant Italian dinner without the overpriced foodie experience that is the current trend in the business. We were not disappointed. Of note was the staff attention to our needs. My wife has a food allergy and they brought out the soux-chef to ask about the particulars. He then customized our dinner to accommodate her needs. The food was delicious. For starters we had the carpaccio. The meat was tender and paired with radicchio and radish. Next we had the risotto which is prepared with a full bottle of wine. The dish was rich and included sweated scallions and sausage. We also had a side of rigatoni which had a basil ragout. For seconds we spilt the brandino(fish) and lamb chops. I recommend both. We have no complaints.

This is a review for takeout/delivery only — the portions are VERY small and the food is very overpriced. Will not order from here again. They have very good penne alla vodka which is why I gave it two stars, but one pasta dish doesn’t make a meal — grilled chicken and chicken parm were overcooked and rubbery.

Came here for a pre-fixe on Valentine’s day and left a little bit disappointed. Piccolo prepared a special menu for the occasion. At 4 courses for $ 58, it sounded like an absolute steal and I guess I should have been better prepared. Crabmeat Arancino(4⁄5): The crab arancino was actually pretty tasty and very flavorful. It tasted exactly as one would expect, and so no major complaints. Grilled NY Steak(1⁄5): The portion size here was laughable. I have never seen a smaller«NY steak» served(my guess was ~6 oz), so it is rather unfortunate that the menu is so misleading, deliberate or not. And it’s not like the quality was anything to rave about. The steak was cooked as definitely on the well-side of medium when a medium rare was requested… although I guess this happens when the. The truffle mash and chianti sauce were very flavorful but overall this dish left much to be desired. Cupid’s Arrow(3⁄5): Just a lot of chocolate. Not bad. Experience(3⁄5): Friendly environment, staff was very good about re-filling water. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — How food scoring works(very subjective, and relative to price) 1 — Given the price, no 3 — Worth, taste is on par with price 5 — An absolute steal, amazing taste and great value

Excellent food and awesome service. The ambiance is pleasant and chef Daniel was very knowledgeable. He made terricic selections for our dinners. It is close to Grand Central Station which was convenient since we decided to spend some time after dinner at their bar. Definitely coming back!

I’ve eaten at Piccolo Fiore for dinner and ordered takeout. We enjoyed the gnocci and calamari very much. I do not recommend their absolute penne entrée(penne vodka). The sauce did not taste right to me(as another Unilocaler wrote, it was almost like kraft mac& cheese). With that said, the service here has always been good, and their take out service is very nice(everything boxed/prepared well). Also note, on Wednesdays they have live entertainment.

If I didn’t know better, I might have guessed I was on an airplane. Obviously these people don’t have any passion for food and only plan to profit off of I assume tourists. I ordered the rigatoni Norma, which is an eggplant pasta dish, and when I brought it to their attention that the dish lacked any eggplant, I was told it «must just be chopped up really small». As if I’m some sort of idiot who can’t tell the difference between tomatoes and eggplants. Pre-bought spaghetti sauce. Overcooked pasta. Bad service. Outdated décor. Bad food. Worse coffee(folgers? Instant?) Avoid at all costs, and speaking of costs I can’t believe their audacity to serve this food at the $$$ mark. Blegh!

This place is just A-OK. Came here for dinner and was not wow-ed. The service needs work, the food needs more flavor, and the atmosphere is as bland as the food. You wont leave here mad that you came, but you will surely be underwhelmed.

Service is TERRIBLE and the food is even worse! The penne alla vodka was the worst I’ve ever had and I get it everywhere I go. There was ZERO flavor. The bread it comes with is absolutely disgusting and I got sick from the baked clams. DONOTEATHERE!!!

Neighborhood gem! Originally came here with an Amazon Local coupon & was impressed by the generous & delicious offerings. Came back on our own dime last night. Lovely ambience(could hear ourselves talk & enjoyed the surroundings), perfect service and delicious, fresh food(I enjoyed the Linguini Nicola — portobello & veal ragu in a light sauce… and my dinner partner was raving about the tenderness of his veal rollatini). Very happy with this place & will be back to sample other dishes!

We had an absolutely delightful meal celebrating a friend’s birthday at this charming restaurant. The food was delicious — the service attentive, considerate and prompt — the atmosphere lovely. This is a place we will return to!

Very welcoming upon our arrival. Inviting dining area and vast menu. I asked for two items to omitted from my order. One I was told I had no choice. The other the chef didn’t cook to order. Food was okay. Nothing to get too excited about. Solid choice for midtown.

Good food. Service was great even though we came in 15 mins before the restaurant was due to close. The mozzarella antipasto was fresh and delicious. The brodo? Delightful. And the main courses of gnocchi were divine. Great place for a romantic or celebratory date.

My wife purchased an Amazon Local deal for this restaurant, and wasn’t sure what to expect… but I was pleasantly surprised, and this is now my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC. The food was truly excellent– light, tasty, and expertly prepared. The staff were friendly, helpful, and unpretentious(not always the case in NYC especially with a «deal»). Tiziano the manager and Frank the head chef both took time to make sure we were taken care of, and were genuinely pleasant. If you’re looking for a new Italian restaurant I highly recommend Piccolo Fiore!

Tourists expect to get low quality expensive food closer to Time Square. This proximity doesn’t qualify. Our food tasted old and rewarmed. I do not recommend this place even if tired and hungry with money to spare. The shrimp in the risotto was rubber and fishy. The mushrooms in the paperadelle were slimy and the pasta itself was tough. The only thing edible was the broccoli rabe.

I had the opportunity to have lunch here late last week with an associate. When we entered, the staff was very welcoming and polite, which, as I always mention in my reviews, is nice. It did not seem like a particularly busy afternoon, and we were seated immediately. Our waiter was quite polite and knowledgeable about the menu. My associate ordered a salad and I order the pre-fix lunch special Sole Filet. Both our meals were tasty and well prepared. The service was quite good as well. I will be sure to return again for dinner one day and update this review! You should check it out and see for yourself. :)

Came here with a group of people and were placed in a semi-private space in the back of the restaurant. It was a great fit. We had many tables and had a pre-selected menu with a choice of red or white wine. The wine selected was on point and the food, particularly the salad was refreshing, the serving staff were attentive to our large group, which was nice as well. My main course, which was the pork tenderloin was alright. I was supposed to get polenta with it and either they ran out or they plated me wrong. Either way, the pork was nicely cooked and had great flavor. The dessert, I had the panna cotta, was delicious. I think if I had a perfectly plated entrée, I would’ve scored this place four stars.

Greetings! So I came here on a special event and here is how I rated it… Pros: Spacious restaurant in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan. Service was very good, as I felt like I was being fed hor dovres constantly. The beef — it was pretty good! The appetizers were very appetizing. Cons: The rest of the food left something to be desired — At this time of coming here, the chicken was overcooked and the cheesecake was under-baked. The alcohol selection was sort of limited. When will Disaronno get its shine? I had to settle for some cheaper citrus amaretto knockoff. Overall, while the vibe, service and ambiance was great, the reason why we arrived — for the food and drink — was a bit underwhelming. It could be just a bad night. I will likely visit again later on to form a revised opinion.

Food was okay. Service was really bad and the worst part was the waiter(although very sweet) had killer B.O. Would not go back. Ever :(

Based off the reviews, I had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately, I never picked up a fork and had to leave before eating. Upon checking in with host, I saw a cockroach. I did not say anything, instead I sat by the tables near the bar and entrance and waited for the rest of my party to arrive. I still was evaluating whether to eat there. Hey I tried to be strong. For the next 10 minutes, I watch this roach circumnavigate the restaurant walls like Magellan. Skeeved out, I made an excuse, departed and called my party and went to another place. Hey, I am a born and bred NY. I am not naïve about the pest that co-habitate at restaurants, but call me old fashion I like a bit of mystery. I do not want to see the pests or be thinking about them when I eat.

An impeccable, upscale Italian restaurant. Great wine list — I definitely recommend the prosecco, and delicious pasta selection. I loved the absolute penne and the rigatoni norma. The onion fries were a tad too oily but pretty good. Come here if you want delicious Italian food, an intimate atmosphere, and great service.
