What? I walked by yesterday and they are closed! This was a nice diner with outside back patio seating. Total FAIL!

:(I needed them for gluten-free delivery. It wasn’t perfect but they made the things I crave, I am so sad. :(:(

Apparently this place is closed. I was just here last weekend, too. I’m not surprised, though. My friend and I came in here for breakfast after running a 10k race. The one thing I noticed was the place was empty, for a Saturday at like 11am in a very residential part of NYC. I also noticed that my seat had crumbs or sawdust or something grainy on the surface. I didn’t really mind it too much, but made me think about the cleanliness of the place. We ordered coffee and I noticed that there was a lipstick stain on the glass. So, not a clean place after all. We did stay since we had already placed our order. The food didn’t seem too bad. My friend ordered the eggs florentine and it looked delicious. I got the pancakes with the sausages. The pancakes were very big and fluffy. The sausages were good, too. I can’t really complain about the food, especially since we were starving. If the décor and cleanliness were as good as the food, perhaps this place wouldn’t have closed. Oh well.

Peter’s, why did you close on me? How did I never write you a Unilocal review? :-( If you were still open, I’d order me up some turkey burger deliciousness on Seamless … but … you closed. :-(

These two stars are specifically for brunch, I have not tried dinner at this place, and quite possibly it is worth 4 stars, as a lot of people graded it in their reviews. Or maybe the gluten-free diet followers find this restaurant worth it, I am not sure. Although judging by the quality of brunch I wouldn’t expect much. Service was fast and very nice, I have no complaints there. But every single item we ordered for brunch, including drinks, was either of poor quality or just badly cooked. The only exception was the fresh fruit plate, which avoided the faith of tacos and Eggs Benedict just because fruits didn’t need to be cooked and it’s really hard to screw up a fresh fruit plate. It’s not expensive, but for $ 17 pre-fixe brunch menu you have so many better and tastier choices on UES that there is absolutely no reason to stop at Peters for brunch.

If you are on a gluten free diet. Peters’ will cater to your needs. Almost anything on the menu can be made fresh and gluten free. The food is tasty and the waiters are pleasant. Terrific place for brunch. Blueberry pancakes hit the spot.

So, this is what I like to term a «Better Diner». I always think it a bit unfair when people pile their lofty gastronomic sophistications on what, by definition, is supposed to be simple fare. This said, Peter’s still far, far exceeds Diner expectations. Perhaps it is unfair for me to term it as such, as you can actually EAT the many authentic Greek and Italian specialties, American Diner and Tex Mex entrees on the menu and they really do taste good, so no need to stick to the eggs or the burger and fries like you do in most Diners. They can actually cook. I would like to add my personal gratitude to Peter’s for having SOMANY Gluten Free options for nearly every item in the menu, and it’s quite an extensive list. You’d need to visit again and again to try them all. Some that I’ve tried: The Gluten Free Penne Rigate in Pink Vodka Sauce was actually quite excellent, and the best thing I’ve tried here. I would order it again in a heartbeat. The Reuben was a good, standard open-faced Reuben, on an OK-tasting gluten free bread. Kind of missed having the rye flavor, but rye cannot be gluten free. It was lovely to have this sandwich available. I have to admit that, though I was thrilled to be able to get Gluten Free pancakes out that I can eat, I wasn’t totally crazy about these. I found them way too dense and spongey, yet sawdust-y and they crumbled apart. I make them much better at home, but then again, GF pancackes take some special chemistry ;-) Plus I’m always left wanting for REAL maple syrup, which I know is too much to ask at a Diner. I WAS kind of tickled that I could ask them to make ‘em with Chocolate Chips, though. Next time, I’ll try the waffles, instead.

Large menu with lots of option for breakfast here at a reasonable price(under $ 15 including drink, meal, and sides). The people are very friendly, the service is fast, and it seems like a good neigborhood staple. Nothing about it was super amazing but if you need a diner in the area. def stop by.

I love Peter’s for their fast and friendly service. They service gluten free options for those with allergies and sensitivities. I recommend giving them a try. The Gluten Free menu is extensive. One of the biggest I’ve ever witnessed.

Was drawn in by the sandwich board on the street stating their garden was now open! We were disappointed when we got to the«garden,» and it was a concrete patio, covered on all four sides by cinder block walls. Not a deal breaker, but amusing. We ordered the Tuscan omelette which was tomato, fresh mozz and pesto. Was decent diner food for the price. Diner itself was clean, and the service was good.

Peter’s has an extensive menu with amazing gluten free options. I usually hit this place up about once a month for brunch and I’m obsessed. Almost everything on the menu is available gluten free, including some things you usually don’t see like chicken strips and french onion soup. It’s generally quiet every day except Sunday, and some of the waiters are pretty cool dudes. The service is diner-esque, the drinks are strong, there’s a ton of gluten free options, and the brunch specials are around 10 – 15 bucks. What more do you need?

Maybe it was just the day we decided to go but I’d much rather have delivery from this place then eat here. There was NO one at the restaurant but my friend and myself. It still look them 20 minutes to serve us. Not to mention while deciding the guy stood behind us waiting, and we had to wait excessive amounts of time between service. The food here is good, it always has been. Try the boneless buffalo wings, some of the best I have EVER tasted so is the french dip sandwich. However their service isn’t so great. They messed up my order once and the management refused to to anything about the situation. I hate establishments like that. But hey, the food will keep me coming back.

Good news for celiacs: Gluten Free Diner Food! I’m not sure why this is considered a «gourmet» diner… It seems like a pretty typical New York diner to me, but they have several gluten free options. GF pancakes, french toast, eggs benedict, desserts… It’s very exciting for those of us who typically shy away from diners because of their excessive use of flour. I ordered the pancakes, and they were exactly what I was hoping for. A bit pricey(about 10 bucks), but good portions. Definitely worth it. My date had the«south of the border» omelet with salsa, avocado, and cheese, and he added bacon. It was pretty tasty! The service was great… They forgot my side of bacon, but when I reminded them, they brought it out very quickly and apologized profusely. They’re pretty friendly folks! Next time I have a hankering for some gluten free breakfast foods, I’ll definitely return!

Great Gluten Free options! A couple friends are doing the gluten free thing to help with their food allergies and health. Almost everything on the menu can be made GF. I had the turkey burger — reg not GF. It was not super flavorful but I probably should have left the jalapenos on! the corn-breaded chicken fingers are very light and tasty. Maybe next time, I’ll try breakfast.

The menu at Peter’s is HUGE. And almost all of the menu items can be made gluten free(in fact, they have a little icon next to the items which can not be made gluten free, rather than the other way around). There is a huge selection of dishes for every meal, including gluten free pancakes, waffles, french toast, sandwiches, french fries, multiple varieties of eggs benedict, pasta, and the list goes on and on! For my full review check out my blog!

I am a celiac with a soy allergy and Peters gave me the once-a-week(we went on Sundays) gift of feeling normal. If that doesn’t deserve 5 stars then the quality of their food certainly does. Not only is nearly everything on the menu available gluten free, but Peters also uses high quality ingredients to make it taste great! I know it sounds silly, but I actually teared up a bit when I wrote this review. When I ate at Peter’s for the first time about a year ago, it was the first time since I was diagnosed(nearly four years ago) that l could eat at a restaurant without having to ask the waiter to go back and forth between our table and the kitchen with FULL ingredients lists. Thank you Peters!!! :)

I have come here twice for brunch. They had standard brunch options — really it’s diner food — BUT they have a LOT of gluten-free options. I had chocolate chip Gluten-free pancakes and the 2nd time i had Gluten-free French Toast. I know that I could open up a package of Pamela’s Pancake mix or whip up French Toast on my own, but sometimes you don’t feel like it. And if you’re not in the mood to enter your shoebox NYC kitchen, come to Peter’s. They have an outdoor patio in the back and they also have a large and varied Gluten-Free menu for both brunch, lunch and dinner. NOTE: If i was not gluten-free, I would probably give it 3 stars since I can’t imagine it being anything special for non-gluten or non-wheat-free people.

Typical diner. Food is pretty good especially since they have a good amount of gluten free options. Prices are a bit expensive. The breakfast burrito was tasty, the omelets are standard and my gluten free friend loved the gluten free french toast. We ordered french fries with cheese and gravy. The potion was kinda small the the gravy was under the fries versus in a dipping cup. One cute thing is that all the orders come with a mini muffin and an orange! I don’t think I would eat here again unless I was with someone who was gluten free.
