I’ll let you know when I get there. Wait… I won’t be able to. Hmmmm You’re on your own.

When it comes to losing a loved one and needing a funeral home, there’s a lot to be said for appropriate bedside manner. Managing Director Daniel Buzzetta, the owner’s son, and often the go to person, has none of that. His quote was costly and when he sensed hesitation, he said that it was not his problem if his fees could not be afforded, that he is not going to take the«hit» and lose out. When he learned that a burial plot had been purchased prior to the passing, his response was that we should find another cemetery and that is affordable because of the opening/closing costs of the burial site. Since that profit does not go to him, he was quick to make that remark. When we explained to him that this cemetery was chosen to respect the wishes of the deceased and religion, he said that sometimes people can’t have what they want. He then said that we could sell the plot at a profit and afford his fees and another plot elsewhere. He also said that it was not his problem when asked how was the family to afford another plot. Lastly he said that we should consider ourselves lucky because he thought his fees were good. It’s a shame because we heard that before the son became so involved, this was a reputable place. Perhaps the younger generation is more concerned with large profits at the cost of leaving families scarred from such a disrespectful and self-serving sales approach.
