My wife and tried this as a quick bite in Times Square. The prices were super reasonable and the food was pretty good. It wasn’t a revelation as far as food goes, but for street food it was well done and satisfying and at the right price. I’d go back again!

Picked up 2 empanadas to go. The Argentine one was sold out by 5pm(must be good) but I had 2 spicy chicken ones. Even after half an hour, they were still really warm, almost hot. The inside filling was more a chicken stew but there was plenty of flavor, and the red and green peppers were a nice touch. They were absolutely delicious. Little pricey though, $ 3−4/ empanada. Good location kiosk by Greeley Square 5÷25÷16 — Had the Argentine Today, it was so good. They were fresh out the oven, it was so warm and the beef was delicious, loved it! Bumping up to 5 stars!!! Delicious food you can carry. Short rib empanadas were delicious. Crust wasn’t heavy but still held a lot of smoky well sessoned pulled short rib. Will come back to try the other flavors.

Went here once and got food poisoning the next day. Can definitely conclude its from here since the person I went with got it too. It’s unfortunate was going to make it my go to spot. But I can’t even think about empanadas without feeling queasy.

Hmm, before I write about this, I may need to check and see what makes a good cappuccino. I love their empanadas. It’s a quick, hearty meal/snack on the go. However, I decided to order a cappuccino today to see how their coffee was. The ‘coffee’ part of my cappuccino was good but I felt like I was having a regular coffee with milk. There was nothing cappuccino about it. Good but not so good. I kind of wanted to order just a coffee to see what that looked like.

Decently priced, good food! I had the spicy chicken and thought it was worth the try. I don’t think it’s as good as the hype gives credit, but definitely worth trying. Also, the fact that it’s so easy to stop by and get is super nice.

I haven’t even tasted my apple cranberry and Nutella empanada and I can just tell it’s going to be amazing. This line is out of control though!

Delicious, quick, convenient & fairly priced. Can’t go wrong with 3 empanadas for $ 8, even if it’s $ 1 extra per empanada if you get short-rib or jumbalaya. Easy way to avoid the extra dollar: skip the short-rib. It’s got more flavor than some would have you believe, but the Argentine is SO much better. Spicy chicken was good, but my least favorite of the 3 as far as flavor goes. That said, the chicken one was right out of the oven and had the best, flakiest shell. I don’t know if the short-rib was the least fresh, but the bread was becoming soggy and after one bite, half the meat fell right out. Argentine wasn’t as crispy and flaky as the fresh-out-of-the-oven, but still good. I would go back and get 3 Argentine empanadas. 4 stars out of 5 because the 2 employees at the food stand, while friendly, seemed confused. One said they could still serve breakfast empanadas at 1:30 pm(they sound really good), but the other said they don’t. I don’t know how many times I told the guy at the register that I wanted 3 empanadas and but he kept repeating my order as just 2. And he forgot to give the change back to the woman in front of me. But friendly and quick service nonetheless. I’d come back.

Spicy cheese wasn’t spicy nor cheesy. It tasted like that fake cheese on bagel bites. The caramelized onions overpowered everything. The spicy short rib tasted kinda gross. I regretted buying it as soon as I took the first bite. The spicy chicken was better. Unfortunately it wasn’t anything to really have me coming back for more. I’d skip this place.

In Greeley Square, get your food, walk as you eat, stand or grab a table and enjoy. Considering it’s a food truck, really good! The mushroom empanada has the tastiest filling!

Tried this place yesterday as I was in the area. I have seen it a time or two before, man oh man am I glad I did! Best empanadas I’ve had in NYC. I tried two: the spicy chicken & the spicy cheese plus a bottle of water and I’m wishing I would have got a couple more! I really wanted the Jambalaya but they were out. They also have sweet empanadas! I will definitely be going back, I hope this place stays. Oh and no line, I walked right up! Yum! The end best thing is the price, $ 3 each although there are a couple at $ 4… Come to New Jersey please!!!

Tried my first Nuchas today on recommendation. Firstly, love the area it’s in. It can get a little busy around the stand because its a major subway station but there is a park and it’s green and I wasn’t being fussy. Tried the Spicy Chicken, which to my delight wasn’t very spicy, just the perfect taste. It was light and fluffy and a good snack. Got colombian coffee to go as well. I saw some interesting vegetarian empanadas on their menu as well that i’d like to try next time. Overall, recommend.

I was really disappointed by this place. It has such a prime location in Greeley Square, right next to an adorable little park area with tables/chairs. I have my dog with me at work today, so my lunch options were limited to places I could take him to. I figured Nuchas would be perfect — and maybe I could sit and eat in the park. Service was fine/friendly enough and fast. I ordered the Short Rib & the Portobello. I was shocked at how bland they both were. I feel like making bland short rib is simply a complete waste of the medium. Like carving a pile of crap out of marble. All I keep thinking is, I wasted all those calories and carbs on a mediocre meal.

Food: Very Good Service: Very Good Ambience: Nice location next to tiny park to sit in Stopped here for a quick bite before heading to the meeting. The line was was not to long and it was right next to the station so I decided to stop and pick up a couple of empanadas. I got the chicken and the argentine(beef) ones. They were served hot and very juicy and delicious. I prefer the beef but the chicken was great too. Beef had a good flavor mix of sweet and savory. Will be back for sure given the food and the price

Yum yum yum! For a nice snack, I’m glad I stumbled across this place. I got the short rib empanada which I loved! I can taste the taste of the red wine and the delicate meat. My friends had the Argentine and one with curry which was also good as well. Special $ 9 for 3 empanadas. Try these out!

So my hubbs had left for work and I was all alone to eat whatever in whichever order I wanted. It a beautifully chilly, sunny day and I strolled my bundled up ass down 32nd to get myself breakfast. I was surveying the area and figured i’d grab myself an appetizer at Nuchas. I asked for the bacon egg and cheese empanada, but they had already run out. Hmm no other real breakfast-y option so I did what any other foodie would do. I got myself a short rib empanada with a hot cortado. Hmm. the empanada was okay. I suppose I may be somewhat partial to empanadas I’ve had in CA. The shortrib was flavorful but a very miniscule amount had been engulfed by the baked dough. The coffee was strong and kicky! Not bad, just not something I’d crave.

Herald square lacks decent food trucks which pushes me to try Nuchas, I remember seeing them featured on a buzzfeed article, being claimed as one of the must eats in nyc so I decided to give it a shot. They had a 3 for $ 9 special so I got the argentine, portobello and jambalaya. The argentine was eh it reminded me of a Jamaican beef patty which I don’t really like. The portobello was eh, I would stick to the meat based ones if I were you. The jambalaya was okay not a big fan of their rice filling, it was a little dry and tasteless for me. A bit overpriced for average food, $ 9 can you a much better pick me up than 3 small empanadas.

recommended empanadas: Porto Spicy Cheese Short Rib Spicy Pork These empanadas are on the healthier side as they are baked. The service in the FiDi truck is great.
