There is a very good reason I gave this place 1 star, but first let me explain my experience. I went here on my lunch break to get a manicure and the owner was very accommodating when I said I wanted a pedicure but didn’t have enough time. Between her and another tech they got me a nice mani-pedi and everything looked great! I was actually very pleased with my experience. Until the next day. About 24 hours later the skin on the sides of both of my big toes were giant, solid flakes that were peeling. The skin felt dead and hard. And now, five days later, there is itchiness associated with it. Not going to lie, I’ve experienced this before and it’s Athelete’s Foot aka fungus. So while the people were nice and the service was great, something about their cleanliness leaves much to be desired. I’d be very careful coming to this location! Maybe observe how they are cleaning their tools before you are taken. Itchy feet are no fun!

The technicians are decent but they use old polish. Both times I’ve come here my pedicure was wrecked within 2 days. And they apparently won’t spend the money for the disposable flip flops so if you forget to bring your own they give you a pair that they pull out of a basket and clearly aren’t washed. La Bella is slightly more expensive but far better.

Went here for a GEL polish change. I made an appointment and came in a little early. The owner of the shop said she would do my polish change. I thought since she was the owner she would be good– I WASWRONG. When she was finished I looked at my nails and saw that there was gel polish all over my cuticles and fingers– I asked her why it looked so horrible and she told me «you needed a manicure your cuticles are so long» First of all my cuticles were not long at all. so I asked her, if you were going to paint all over my cuticles why wouldn’t you just tell me that I needed a manicure– I would have been happy to pay the extra $ 5 for a gel manicure. Instead she blamed her lack of skill on my cuticles and proceeded to try and scratch off all of the mistakes. Point blank– my nails looked terrible and she blamed her lack of skills on me. I dont know any establishment that would let a customer walk out of there with gel ALL over their fingers and for that reason I will never be going back. Stay away from this place,

Awful service. The place is not clean. Dust everywhere. Ridiculously rude. One block away off Cabrini there is a place in the same price range where they are clean, professional and welcoming. I’d recommend avoiding Silver Nails and going there.

I’ve had a decent manicure or two here, for sure. Too bad the level of customer service here is so low. They are really unfriendly, and make you feel like you’re bothering them by coming in.

I have been to many salons but this one has won me over. I am loving my gel mani. She was quick but great. They have a range of colors to choose from and they don’t use any cheap brands. They are also very affordable. Also, make an appointment, you’ll be seen much faster. This is definitely my new spot!

Well, I used to like this place but now every time I go in there they say they can’t take me and are rude about it… I’m guessing because its too close to closing time(2+ hours before close, mind you). Not to mention when I came here on New Year’s Eve I had to wait 3 hours to get a mani!!! Never again! I went to Crème de la Crème Nails by Angie instead tonight and everything was GREAT!!!

This is my #1 spot to get my nails done. They do an impeccable job and are true professionals. I feel relaxed and taken care of when I go in and the girls are super nice and recognize me. They have a great range of colors. My only request would be that they revamp the interior. Like most nails salons the interior is a mish-mash of bad posters and sloppy decorating. It would help them stand out and help their customers be more at ease if the interior was more aesthetically pleasing. They do not allow tips on credit card, so bring cash.
