This place has awesome Israeli food. Some of the best falafel in this city by far. Sit down and take out.

The food is always tasty, although it is pricey you must understand ITSKOSHERMEAT. i will always recommend kosher meat over a restaurant that buys meat at the lowest cost! When you go out you wear the best clothes and shoes you have in the closet, should you not spend your money on quality food? afterall the food enters your body and you are what you eat people! Just a thought to all the people complaining about the price. I started eating quality meat after i had a bad experience with a chinese restaurant that was well priced but highly expensive when i was in need of pain killers for my stomach and wasted time on the toilet.

This place is decidedly mediocre because it is decidedly inconsistent. The food ranges from delicious and well seasoned(any of the kebobs) to overdone and bland(they sold me a well done barely seasoned unevenly cut steak when I ordered a medium rare one with extra seasoning). The already high prices seem to have gone even higher in the past month or so; their $ 27 steak printed on their takeout menu is now $ 35 in the span of me ordering the same thing in just a few weeks. Service is sometimes curt, sometimes warm and friendly. I don’t think I’d be back for a while.

Man has this place gone downhill. It of course all starts at the top with a manager who does not care. I received a delivery and when I called up to complain that there were missing items, the manager said call back later as I’m busy dealing with other customers. When I called back later, he then said he said he would personally deliver the items himself. I was impressed until he said that he could only deliver the items after the restaurant closed. He said he would be over a bit before midnight. He was unwilling to send one of his normally deliverymen or issue me a refund for the missing items.

Food is ridiculously over priced here. 1 chicken skewer and salad for $ 21.00? Only 1? Really i eat at the finest restaurants and dont mind paying but this is a simple grill. I dont like feeling ripped off. It was good the food but not worth the price for 1 skewer like 6 cubes of meat

The food at Nargila is pretty good, if a bit pricey. That being said, it’s a kosher meat restaurant, so what do you expect. Most of the times I’ve gone there I’ve ordered to go, and my review reflects this. The one time that I ate in the service was good and the food was good. The mixed grill is great and I usually get either falafel, shwarma, or chicken kabob in a lafa, which is a pretty good deal. The thing that bugs me about this place is that nearly every time I go there to order food to go, they keep me waiting for 20+ minutes, even when I call ahead. If it was just once or twice I would understand but it’s happened several times and for that reason I don’t really go there any more.

Great food — shwarama was tasty and not too fatty/rubbery. They baked my bread fresh on the spot with designated pit style oven. Portion was large. Ambience is pleasant with lots of room. Not too loud. Service was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by actually being served even though I chose the bat stool tables.

HORRIBLE service, waitress was really rude, food took over an hour to come out. Way over priced. Not recommended. Bad experience :-/

I held a surprise party for my husband’s 50th birthday at Nargila Grill for 21 people on a Saturday night after Shabbos. Michael was sooooo accommodating and attentive to our guests. The food was delicious and the flow from appetizers to food to dessert was perfect. There was plenty of food for our guests and Michael was attentive to requests such as ice for soda or more pita. The restaurant was relatively empty(only one other smaller party going on) and we were able to linger after the meal in order to socialize and chat. This was a perfect location for our party. I would definitely eat here again next time I’m in the area.

I have never felt so discriminated against in my life … The food was salty and other people got two pita instead of the one we got and the host just said to me «you are just not used to our food» are you fricking kidding me? I am a personal chef, I eat and cook all different cuisines for a living I feel like all the customers of the Jewish race were treated differently than we were. I will never ever eat there again. Also The guy said to me «you just don’t know our food» really? Wtf

Humous is off the charts good. I grab it as a take out platter all the time. This is the real deal just like you are in Israel — fresh, tasty, full of flavor, seasoned, dripped with some oil, and real honest to goodness humous the way it is supposed to be. you can make a whole meal out of it.

Absolutely delicious. I only got take out from them so can’t say much about the restaurant itself but the food quality is superb. The spring chicken and the lamb kebab are my favorites. In a Lafa of course. Their hummus is good too and unlike other places they spread it generously. If you’re in need of good Israeli style Lafa that’s the place to go.

Upon placing our order, it took 75 mins for us to get our lunch(order was placed at 12:00pm and our offices are 13 blocks away). Restaurant staff reasoned the delay: «The fish takes time»(striped sea bass fillet). Our meals were cold when finally arrived. This was not the only time my colleagues and I ordered delivery with Nargila; each time it took eternity to have our lunch delivered. This place has good hummus. Israeli and tabbouleh salad contain vinegar rather than lemon; far from being as good as the real Israeli ones. Thank you, never again.

Still really good food: falafel, shawarma, and especially the wonderful, warm, homemade bread.

Pass. Nargila your food preparation has taken a dive. not fresh. hard as rocks. If you go here. order from the older worker. Avoid the younger boy who doesn’t enjoy his job.

I never would have gone here if not for my cousin, who lives in the hood and was picking up the tab. The restaurant itself doesn’t have much atmosphere, but I have never had better baba ghanoush in my life. The meze here are all really great. She loves the Shabbat-to-Go dinners, which seem expensive, but a meal for four feeds her family of five two or three times over. Even when a cousin shows up and eats most of the baba ghanoush. You have to pick it up a little early because of course they close before sundown on Fridays, but if I were having a dinner party on the UES and I didn’t want to cook, I would definitely consider it.

Great food, friendly service, slightly better food then Pita Off the Corner, much better service. Same prices. Just one problem: they are constantly out of stock of the delicious peach and mango flavored Israeli juice that I love.
