Miyu Asakawa – Ruby 6

Miyu was recommended by a friend of mine who always had a great hair cut and perfect coloring. I’ve been going to Miyu for several years now and amazes me how creative and skilled she is. I always give her a theme to work with and she tells me my options. People are always complimenting my haircut. Thanks to Miyu.

Miyu is absolutely fabulous ! She is very gifted at what she does. She is able to shape hair so sleek and intricately. I always go to her with no idea how I want my haircut, and she will come up with something fresh and new every time !! Miyu also does my color. I have been going platinum for about 7 years and Miyu gets my hair silky soft even after so much bleach ! She always gets the exact kind of silver, gray, or white I want. She has experience and technique with all kinds of hair ! Believe me I have sent her many clients !! I would recommend her services to all of you! And cheers to Miyu and many more years of her making me look cool!!!

Miyu has been cutting and coloring my hair for 7 years. I’ve had a number of different hair styles over the years, long and short — she’s done an amazing job on them all. Thanks to Miyu, I have bright red, healthy hair. I get compliments ALL THE TIME. She listens to my ideas and concerns, and shares her opinion too — which I love! And when I don’t know what I want, she’s full of great suggestions. Miyu rocks!

Hands down the best hairstylist that I worked with. Feel comfortable taking her style advice. Miyu is the best thing happened to my hair in NYC and I would recommend her to any guy who is looking for a solid stylist.

This is an overdue review for Miyu Asakawa over at Ruby 6 salon. A colleague referred her and I’m glad she was willing to share who she goes to see b/​c her hair always looks nicely styled. Miyu is easy to talk to and she can offer suggestions based on what you’re looking for. She also appears to be able to work with little direction. A wonderful thing about Miyu is she has a good command of English. I was glad to see there was very little of a language barrier if that is one of your concerns as it was mine going in. I first wanted to wait and see how I feel about my cut but overall I’m happie with the experience. She only accepts cash so please know that ahead of time. If you can’t reach her simply text or leave a msg and she will promptly respond in kind.
