Tried the desserts this afternoon(cannoli and éclair) both delicious. Came back for a quick bite later!

It’s okay. Not good, not bad, just okay. They have a huge menu, sandwiches, burgers, pastas dishes, salads etc. And pizza of course. The pizza is good, a step above Rays, Famiglia and those abominable 1 $ pizza places. Hardly transcendent though. It’s a good place to eat if you are in the Theater District and don’t feel like spending a lot.

So good! Hot cheesy big slices. This place is great, 2 slices and a beer for 10.50. Friendly funny staff I highly recommend it if you are in the area. The inside is quaint and adorable. Loved it!

Very good place. They had a lot of variety and 2 of my favorites: white and sausage and peppers. Plenty of seating.

Mariella’s pizza is the best. I also love them because they take credit cards. Oh, and because their slices of pizza are HUGE. Seriously, I made the mistake of order two the first time I went and(though I didn’t regret it) I felt stuffed to the brim. I highly recommend their white pizza or mushroom pizza. Although this location has a few tables, this is not a place that you sit for a classy meal with your family. Grab your food to go, or accept that this will be a quick ‘n dirty experience. Also — the older gentleman who works here(skinny, white guy, greyish hair) is always jazzed up. I appreciate his enthusiasm and energy. Mariella’s rocks!

Got into town late, but still being on mountain time needed some nourishment. Found this place still open at 1:30 and figured«why not». After a brief walk from the hotel, I walked in and found a solid menu. Pastries, sandwiches, and pizza. Went with the grilled cheese and a Modelo. Sandwich was piping hot and spot on. Rounded out by the beer, it was exactly what I was looking for. Service was prompt and courteous as well. Would come back if in the same situation.

This pizza is amazinggggg. I was walking down 8th realizing. I didn’t have lunch so I figured why not have a Sicilian slice and didn’t realize that that one slice was going to taste so good! I crumpled my plate and put it in the trash which took a second to find but said to myself I need a second one and that second slice was worth it. It’s conveniently in the same infrastructure as a bread factory which is nice but it’s inconveniently in the back meaning it’ll be packed if you want some awesome pizza. If you see this place then definitely walk on and have some of the usual variety of pizza a place would have and just savor in the fact that you had some really good pizza. They even have drinks to enjoy. I didn’t look at the menu as I was too busy looking at what I wanted and I didn’t see sides but that was most likely from my gaze of how badly I wanted that slice.

Good everyday pizza place. If what you’re looking for is a Turtle Ninja style pizza. This is the place! There’s also a great variety of sweet bread and pies available.

I tasted this pizza back in the beginning in the year, and let me say, I’ve had better.

Fresh ingredients and friendly staff! The best pizza I’ve had in Manhattan yet! It’s in the back of The Bread Factory so a bit confusing. After I’m done with my slice, I get a slice of cake Carb coma but so worth it!

I went there because it was next to my hotel and I have to say that the pizza wasn’t as good as I expected. I mean it tastes quite okay but 3.50 $ per slice is too much. I’ll try out some other pizza places here.

stopped by with a friend after superbowl sunday to grab a slice. She just got a cheese and I had a bite and it was a solid new York city pizza. Better than your dollar slice places but I would want to try more before I made a judgement.

Some of the best pizza in NYC when it comes to casual slices to go. Can’t beat the price and the guys are extremely nice. I’m here a lot and am never disappointed.

We were in search for a good pizza restaurant when we found Mariella’s. We had a party of 4, 3 of us ordered slices of pizzas and 1 of us ordered a salad. The pizza was ok, but didn’t have enough flavor. The pizza was also very greasy and was heated up upon being ordered. The salad allowed you to choose 5 different toppings. One of the toppings that my mom ordered was beats and they were rotten. She had to pick off all of the beats and she said that after she got rid of the beats the salad was good. Overall I was not impressed by the food at this restaurant. However the service and employees were very nice.

Very good pizza and very reasonable prices. Large slice for $ 2.50. Thin crispy crust. Yum! The guys behind the counter were smiling and friendly. Will definitely be back in the future!

I don’t know. Eddie, the greatest checkin guy in the world from the Parker Meridien said Rays Pizza isn’t what it was and recommended we go here and we excitedly ordered up 6 cheese slices with the family. The atmosphere was great. The service was wonderfully indifferent yet efficient. While the pizza flavor was very good, the cheese was so light that it disappeared into the sauce and created more of a grease effect than a distinct cheese and sauce delivery. The lovely Maureen didn’t finish hers which speaks volumes. Back to Rays tomorrow. Lots of good reviews here — just one guys opinion.

My girlfriends and I found this place while craving something sweet around midnight. We walked in and found a wonderful arrangement of pastries, cookies, breads, etc. Towards the end we found the pizza. Since we already ate dinner we just opted for the dessert. We shared a boston cheesecake, carrot cake, and chocolate cake. The next day we came for the pizza and it was delicious! Light crust, minimal sauce, and gooey yummy cheese. We only stayed in New York 5 days but after that day we went into Mariella’s 5 times. We even got up an hour early on the day of our flight to go have some pizza. Unfortunately they don’t start making the pizzas until 10:00 but the guy that worked there was kind enough to make us one after he found out that we were visiting and had a flight to catch. Overall great place and definitely one of the places I will miss from New York city.

This place is a little confusing to find because it shares a storefront/restaurant with The Bread Factory Café… only a tiny awning mentions anything about Mariella Pizza. We were sent here by a friend and promised the«best pizza in New York». Meh. Don’t get me wrong, the pizza was actually really good. It was thin, it was greasy as nuts and we got it right out of the oven so it was hot and ooey gooey just like pizza should be. But best in NY? This is the only one I’ve had, but I’m sure not. Now part of the problem may be that we didn’t get the best variety? We had 1 slice cheese and 1 slice pepperoni each. Not my first choice, but it was my only choice. The business lists as opening at 11. So, one might think that you can go in and get a slice at 11am. Nope. They start making the pizza at 11. So we sat and waited the 30 minutes for it to be done. The first pizza was cheese, the 2nd pepperoni and another long wait for anything else. Bah. Maybe we should have just ordered our own pie? But that seemed excessive since we were leaving that day and had no way to transport pizza all over the city. So, this place is worth the stop if you are using the«Nearby» function of Unilocal.but if you are searching for the best ahead of time, I think you can do better.

I gotta say, the pizza here is really fantastic. You can tell that they’re using top notch ingredients and care into putting their pies together. I’ve only been here a handful of times, but it always smells amazing and the pizza never has that«been out for 3 hours» look — you know the look I’m talking about when the mozzarella cheese looks yellow-y, transparent, hard and the sauce looks weird and un-edible. They constantly have their pizza oven running and new pies coming out so if you’re into a nice, freshly made pie(like me!) then you’re golden. The sauce is flavorful, seasoned, tangy and tastes homemade(may not be, but whatever — it’s fantastic) and the cheese to sauce ratio is fantastic. So far I’ve had a 2 regular cheese slices and tried their cheese slice with sweet Italian sausage topping and both were definitely winners. My only complaint about this place is that the guys that work here will oogle the crap out of you if you’re a pretty lady. This turns me off immensely as I find it uncomfortable and stupid when they make it so obvious. All I want to do is conduct a business trade — you give me delicious pizza in exchange for green paper — but their wandering eyes, not too slick smiles and words in Spanish(when they think I’m not bilingual apparently, although the joke is on them cuz I understand EVERYDAMNWORD) aren’t enough to get me to not come here anymore… except I won’t eat here alone because getting stared at while chowing down is never fun. I really want to give them a 3.5 because the pizza is a 4 but the overall experience can sometimes be annoying — but I’m rounding it up because the cheese and sauce are just soooooooooooo damn good {3.
