Not good even for a breakfast sandwich. I’ve been here twice and they forgot to add one item to said breakfast sandwich that they charged me for both times. Also, Their orange juice tastes like knock off Tropicana…

Lenny’s is a good place to grab lunch. I’ve had many of their sandwiches, wraps, and salads and have always been satisfied. I wouldn’t say it’s anything special, but it gets the job done. This location gets crazy busy during lunch, but they have a pretty efficient system. There’s also a decent amount of seating. I recommend for a work day lunch.

You’ve ever been to a place and your experience makes you sit down and analyze. After all of that you’re just like«I get what they’re trying to do, I understand it, but it just has to be stopped.» That’s exactly how I felt about Lenwich. My levelup app just keeps showing me that I have a $ 7.00 credit and I say to myself either they’re really expensive or its so bogus that they just want you to come in and spend $ 3.00. This place slightly reminds me of subways mixed with quiznos and although I’d think that mix would be a good one, sadly I figured it out that it definitely wouldn’t. I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and the only thing I found appetizing was the bread(rye bread). The chicken taste so artificial and halfway frozen, the buffalo sauce damn near gave me a migraine, and I don’t think the blue cheese crumbles ever made it to the sandwich. Although the menu swallows you up with it’s interesting options I doubt I’ll be back to try others. 1 star for the nice staff and another star for me having a $ 7.00 credit so I only came out of pocket $ 1 and some change.

Honestly, I haven’t tried anything other the the«Italian» sandwich… it’s never let me down. Bread, meat, cheese, and veggies are always fresh. Only negative, it’s a bit pricy for a sandwich.

Had my first visit here for lunch today. Now, if you have a smart phone, may be a good idea to download their app and you’ll get $ 7 credit to use in store. I ordered their specialty Lenwich(pastrami, corn beef, Cole slaw Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing) and had it on a roll. The total came out to $ 8.70 and with the $ 7 credit on the app, I paid a total of $ 1.70 for the meal. With that said, the sandwich itself was delicious! I had my doubts at first, but a bite into it had me convinced and 10mins later the whole thing was gone. One thing I did not like about this place was the wait. We had to wait for a good 15mins for our order to be ready. People were just standing around all waiting for their orders and so it seemed quite disorganized at glance. Anyway, for the sandwich I had today, it was worth the wait. I would be back again and next time, I’ll just know to allocate more time for ordering here. Or maybe I could try their online ordering and pickup in store. :) PS: there’s seating here so you could always grab a friend or two and dine in. Enjoy~

I had a classic grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken was pretty dry. I love all the options you have. I might have to come back, and give this place another try.

I’ve come here twice and both times they’ve messed up my order. I received a buffalo chicken wrap with no dressing, and a chicken and avocado wrap with no avocado. After complaining, I was told that they are very busy because they are short staffed. They will be a little less busy now because I won’t be returning again.

I come here for lunch once in a while being that i work close by and its just convenient. I usually order a salad and while its decent, it is also fairly expensive — around $ 10 with only 2 – 3 toppings. I’d much rather go to Chopt or Just Salad where the ingredients are more fresh and its just about the same price.

Lenny’s is fantastic! It’s a little hole-in-the-wall place, but don’t be fooled. It’s clean and well-kept on the inside! The food is spectacular as well. For $ 8 a sandwich, dog gonnit am I satisfied and so FULL. All the professionals from Wall Street seem to come here. We came right around noon and every customer here was in business professional. Goes to show how great this place is as every professional(thus, presumably financially savvy persons) came. You get a bang for your buck! Sure wish they had one of these in LA.

Breakfast here is kind of hectic. The place is totally filled up, people are everywhere, the ording and jumbling around is a bit confusing. The breakfast sandwiches are good, just not memorable.

When I was first introduced to Lenny’s, I was told that if I were in the market for an I-banker boyfriend, this is the perfect place to find one. That’s great advice and all, but I actually come here for a different type of meat: the #10. I am infatuated with any sandwich that serves corned beef, turkey, a dab of russian dressing, and coleslaw that’s fresh and not slathered with mayonnaise. Then I get it all rolled up in a delicious spinach wrap. The end product is hugemongous, so it’s worth the hefty $ 9.25(wraps are an extra $ 1). Looking for a food coma later that afternoon? Eat my wrap. My only gripe would be the counter-intuitive set-up for ordering. You order at the BACK of the deli, pay at the FRONT, and dawdle somewhere in the MIDDLE for your order number to be called. Lenny’s also delivers, but if it’s a beautiful day, go for a walk down to the waterfront and mingle with those bachelors you’ve been eyeing.

It was my first ever time eating a Lenny’s sandwich and WOW! Since it was my first time, I ordered the #1(Lenny’s) which contained Hot Pastrami & Corned Beef with Swiss Cheese, Coleslaw and Russian Dressing. I wasn’t too fond of the combination at first since I wasn’t a HUGE fan of Pastrami or Corned Beef, but combined with all those ingredients it was pure bliss! The Russian Dressing added a nice/slight touch of spice to the beef. It also added some moisture to it. The Swiss Cheese was melted onto the Coleslaw, which is an AWESOME idea! The Coleslaw added crunch to the sandwich and the mayo from it mixed with the dressing when eating. I would’ve never thought those ingredients combined so well, but they do! I’m looking forward to going back to Lenny’s. Just a small note on the store. The employees weren’t super enthusiastic or nice, but they did their jobs effectively and efficiently and I don’t have any complaints other than that.

I only went to this place because the restaurant I had Unilocaled which should have been right next to it was closed. I went at lunch time and it was super packed. Although, I wasn’t there for more than 10 minutes. The sandwich I got was just ok, the iced tea was good. Not sure that I would return to this place.

I feel the service has kicked up a notch so I highly recommend visitors not be deterred by previous reviewers. When it comes to the busy FiDi feeding frenzy, it does take awhile for new restaurants and staff to get used to the pace. Lennys offers very clean and well built sandwiches. You can choose the type of sandwich you want and the built you want it in; wrap, hero, or roll. The options are plenty and I’m sure you can find something you like. The price was pretty steep however. One roast beef wrap ran me 9 dollars. They threw in a 1 liter natural spring water for free. One whole goddamn liter. Carrying that thing up the stairs was a workout. Regardless of the extraneous freebie, I felt the price tag was not worth it. The roast beef sandwich with melted American cheese and OLT was fair. While the roast beef itself was not bad, the lettuce was completely frozen. It wasn’t even plain cold salad lettuce. It came right from the fridge. It lacks the flavor punch Potbelly sandwiches would give you. It does however offer more filling on a lesser calorie count due to the simplicity of the ingredients. So there are some Lenny sandwich days. What is great about Lennys is their upstairs seating, which is kept very clean. Being away from the touristy crowd will almost guarantee you spacious private seating. Bathroom upstairs is also kept very clean. Soooo in a nutshell: Good: Fresh ingredients and clean look. Upstairs seating good for private conversations away from the frenzy downstairs. Bad: Expensive. Taste is not as exciting as Potbelly. As Suane L mentioned, a pretty confusing order line.

I give it a 4 for food. The combinations of ingredients in all the sandwiches sound perfect together. I’ve been twice so only tried 2 sandwiches but both were excellent and exactly what i expected. The lentil soup was good too. I give it a 2 for organization and set up. Stupid system where you order at a register like a fast food place. they give you the receipt before you pay so you wait for your number to be called and then after they give you the sandwich you pay and ask for a bag. smh. So that averages out to a 3 right? I’ll def go back cause lunch places downtown are slim pickings since superstorm sandy and the food is good so i’ll put up with how crazy and busy it is.

1. They have a toaster turned on and in use. 2. I ask the order taker to have my sandwich toasted, she says«All the H sytle sandwiches come that way(avoiding use of the word toast). 3. I wait about 7 minutes for my sandwich while a dozen orders are prepared, none enter that toaster. 4. I receive an untoasted sandwich. 5. I complain via the Lenny’s website 6. No response. 7. Complain on Unilocal, never return, pray they vacate a valuable retail space.

It looks like this place is a relatively new addition to the limited Fidi lunch spots. Hurricane Sandy took out some of my favorite spots and it doesn’t look like they will be back anytime soon, so this was a welcomed addition to the neighborhood until I saw the lunch crowd for the first time. There is a Lenny’s near my temporary location at 2 Penn, which has become our go to spot, since it was such a battle everyday to fight the human traffic to get food in between meetings. Visiting our downtown office, for the day, and moving back in the next few weeks, Lenny’s was a no-brainer when it came to lunch time.(HINTHINTLENNYS: People are moving back, expect bigger crowds!) The team and I stepped inside and it was a madhouse. Lines criss-crossed each other. People didn’t know where lines started and ended. While the stands are supposedly set up in such a way where it is easy to get to the food you want, but with lines crowding up the small interior, it was a battle to get to the sandwich stand to place your order. Than another battle to move to the other wall to get a drink. Finally, the mess of the line to pay. It would work if there were a few people trying to get food, but not to service a lunchtime crowd. I think we’ll pass on this place, although we are quite fond of the Midtown location, space was not a concern for the people who opened up this place. I don’t care that there is seating upstairs, I need to be able to get my food and not bump into someone every step of the way. Plus my Lenny T sandwich was not as good as the one in midtown. I had the same exact sandwich the day before which I loved, which was the reason I got another one the next day. FAIL. — update: 3÷22÷2013 They apparently don’t allow you to combine receipts at checkout. All orders must be placed together, unless you are ordering from the Salad bar and sandwich stand. The cashier said they upgraded to a new system, which doesn’t allow them to combine reciepts — to me that is a downgrade. Also today I ordered a wrap, The paper wrapper was rolled into my wrap. That’s a first.

A very typical, no-brainer place for lunch. The sandwiches are decent, but overpriced. Since there are some cheaper and/or better places in the area, I only usually go here if it’s terrible weather and I don’t want to walk to get my lunch. They were, however, one of the few places open a month post Sandy(they were having their Grand Opening while all other places were shuttered) so we went there a lot during those days. Now that businesses are reopening, I probably won’t go back that often.

Lenny’s is a local sandwich chain with fresh quality ingredients, a huge range of options, and speedy brusque service. In this area of lower Manhattan, it is one of the few places open for business after Hurricane Sandy. With a fresh new look, it cranks out possibly thousands of sandwiches a day. The first floor is the machine. The left is prepped foods and drinks in a cold case. Then the salad line, the sandwich ordering line, and the soups. For sandwiches, you put your order in at the back, then loop to the front where you pay and wait for your number to be called. This part is in the front by the door, so it will feel really crowded when you first walk in. Seating is upstairs and can accommodate, say 50 people. Its a good option for cold days and fairly comfortable and not sketchy. Service is rapid fire, so don’t plan on making friends here. I ordered the Tonkatsu Grilled Chicken Sandwich — Grilled Chicken Breast With Melted Fresh Mozzarella Cheese, Grilled Onion, Green Leaf Lettuce, Tomato & Tonkatsu Sauce on a multigrain hero. I also added extra spinach. This sucker cost me $ 11 — but it was large enough for lunch and dinner! That said, its not a cheap lunch.

Lenny’s is a no-brainer lunch spot. They have soups, salads and sandwiches. Not any different than Flavors nearby however I like Lenny’s soups better. The seafood chowder is delicious. There’s plenty of seats upstairs. The staff is very friendly and they get the line moving by directing you through.
