The queue was right up to the front door and worth waiting for because the bagels we ordered were delicious. I had a smoked salmon with plain cream cheese on a fresh multi-seed bagel and it was packed! My husband ordered the Signature bagel which he loved. We ate these for brunch and they kept us going until dinner! I would definitely recommend this even if you have to wait for a seat and squeeze in. Look around and you’ll realise you’re surrounded by locals — it’s the real deal!

Such a nice coffee shop to have in my neighborhood. Coffee is great, snacks and food are great service is great and the wifi is super strong. Sometimes it gets pretty packed but I’d never not been able to find a spot.

This is such a great spot to enjoy coffee and food with friends, which we did for 3 hours on a recent trip to Harlem. We all enjoyed our coffees and egg salad croissants. The egg salad was seasoned perfectly and included thinly sliced cucumber, which gave it a nice fresh crunch. The croissant didn’t completely fall apart in my hands, which was appreciated as I’m not a fan of messy food. When we first arrived, seating was very limited but as the afternoon progressed, the traffic died down some and plenty of tables were available, allowing us to continue catching up with friends. We had very friendly service, and it was apparent everyone working there takes a lot of pride in their establishment, focusing upon ensuring happy customers.

I am in love! What a pleasant surprise to find such a gem in Harlem(perhaps another testament to the rapid gentrification occurring in the area). I stopped by to get some studying done at around 10am on a weekday. The place was packed with casual coffee drinkers and people who were feverishly working on their laptops. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find a spot, but the place cleared up by the time my food was ready. I ordered the egg salad croissant breakfast sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. The croissant was soft and lightly toasted and the egg salad inside was paired with slices of cucumbers. Yum! I also tried the iced matcha green tea latte, which I enjoyed a lot as well. I actually prefer the ones they serve here over the ones at Starbucks(which can taste ridiculously sweet and overpowering sometimes). Everyone working behind the counters were pleasant and friendly. Free 2-hour wifi with purchase and outlets scattered against the walls throughout the store. Plenty of natural sunlight as well. It can get a bit noisy, but other than that… Lenox Coffee is an awesome spot to study, hang out, grab a quick bite, etc. Can’t wait to come back!

Great coffee spot. Arrived on Tuesday morning and there was plenty of space to sit. They limit their wifi to two hours unless you pay for more time. I think this helps with the seating since some people do pull out their laptops to work. I grabbed a caramel latte and the egg salad croissant. They have other pastries there as well. I loved the rustic theme of the place.

Super cute coffee shop up in Harlem with delicious coffee. Came here on a rainy day following brunch at Red Rooster back in 2013. Loved it.

She had a cappuccino which was pretty good. They use Stumptown beans and the cappuccino was fairly dark with some sour notes, not a bad cup of coffee. The service was great and the place is comfortable, a spot you can post up for a while and do some work or chat with friends. Would definitely go back. The food looked good too, so I’ll be back to try. Out of 3, 1BEAN, so go check it out if you happen to be in the area.

Love their everything bagel, extra toasty, with cream cheese. They have a delicious bagel and yeah, yeah it’s ~just a bagel~, but this is a special one. It has oats and big salty crystals on it. YUM! They serve Stumptown coffee which is hands down some of the best coffee ever. Smooth and roasty and doesn’t leave the usual coffee aftertaste. I love the vibe in here, everyone is relaxed and working. Always busy!

Lenox coffee was so close to getting the 5th star but alas the bathroom ruined it for them. I was here only once but the coffee was defiantly worth coming back for. Customer service was on point and they surprisingly got my order exactly how I like it. While waiting for my cup of joe, I went to the bathroom. I regretting going to their bathroom. There was no toilet paper and it wasn’t exactly the«cleanest» but I guess when you have a line outside the door, you have to prioritize your responsibilities. Bottom line is Lenox coffee is a great establishment and they defiantly know what they’re doing but the bathroom really ruined it for me. I will be back and hopefully bump them up to that fith star.

Lenox is my absolute favorite coffee shop and a great addition to this part of Harlem. I go to Lenox, way more than I should. I’m talking to the point that my family bought me an espresso machine for my birthday, I think as a way of an intervention. The space is small, but it has a very traditional coffee shop feel. Dark reclaimed woods, chipping shabby chic metal, and trendy lightbulbs reminiscent of a Mumford and Sons music video. Beyond atmosphere, the espresso is well prepared by skilled baristas. They use Stumptown coffee and if you’re a latte person like me you cannot go wrong with an iced one on a hot day. I’m not entirely sure where they source their baked goods from, but they have a wide selection and excellent chocolate croissants(which is really all I care about). Recently they’ve also expanded to have a few sandwich and salad options. Ultimately it’s a really nice alternative to chain coffee shops. It has a neighborhood feel. For example, one day their credit card machine was down in the morning-perhaps it was the look of sheer terror on my face, but they told me, «We know you just pay for it tomorrow.» It’s the little things like that that make you feel like you belong in New York. Tip: They offer a free drink after you order 10 drinks so make sure to get your card stamped.

After a filing lunch, I needed a pick me up. Googled coffee shops in Harlem and Lennox popped up… Only a few blocks away. The scaffolding outside made the shop a bit hidden but there was a large banner [very helpful]. Walked in and saw a packed house… Somewhat rainy/dreary day so it felt like a quaint neighborhood chill spot. The interior was really charming with touches of industrial, shabby chic, and flea market finds – pretty awesome. There is seating but as others noted, it is pretty tight. We managed to score a window seat next to the milk/sugar stand. There was an equipment malfunction that resulted in brewing new coffee – added 5 minutes, but wasn’t a deal breaker. I rarely get a chance to ”chill” at coffee shops when I’m in philly so i was enjoying people watching and talking with my friend. The coffee was done, piping hot and fresh. I really liked the coffee [I drink it black]. I’d rank this pretty high on my list of good plain coffees I’ve had. Definitely a spot to stop by and recharge if you’re in the area! Good find.

Love this little coffee house gem in the heart of Harlem. Tucked neatly away just off of 125th street, Lenox is coffee house culture embodied. Rich wood fixtures are mixed with vintage flair behind the counter and just the right amount of artistic touches. Seating is fairly communal as the space isn’t too large; be a neighbor and share your extra chair if the place fills up. Great coffee, yummy selection of pastries both sweet and savory, prices are fairly reasonable. They also have wifi if you’re looking for a charming place to get some work(or not) done.

I guess that’s one of the only good coffee spots in that neighborhood. they serve Stumptown coffee, which I really like. I got an almond milk cortado and my husband a skinny latte and a raspberry donut($ 3.50– not too decent). we paid $ 13 which is not that cheap. but the coffee was super delicious! the barista wasn’t too friendly, wasn’t probably not his day. the place was crowded, but we found a spot at one of the three community stables.

Aside from the loud music and dim lighting, this place is quite good. I probably won’t come here that often since it’s far from my place and not really an ideal study location(dim lighting, bad for my eyes), but overall I would give it a solid 4 stars. Their cold brew could use some work, but everyone’s cold brew could use some work. They also have a bathroom, which is essential when drinking caffeine.

Lenox Coffee NY Manhattan Harlem 3:30pm Friday 11th September 2016 Four Stars Located just off Lenox street, this coffee shop was packed with the hipster crowd conversing and laptop-ing. There were several rows of tables, a bar counter, and outside benches, which could easily accommodate 30 people. The décor contained white walls, exposed brick, and filament lights. There was only one person taking orders and making coffee so it took a couple minutes to get my ice coffee. You should get the Large is well worth the extra 50 cents. They use clear plastic solo cups with labeled cardboard coozies, and half cube shaped machine ice. The Coffee was smooth with fruity notes and hints of chocolate. The Acidity was medium, Bitterness was low, the body was medium but with a bit of grain, the after taste was smooth, the caffeine was medium-high. Overall, a good cup for a good price.

Small corner hipster coffee spot. It was hot as heck today in NYC so decided for some iced mocha. Downside no air conditioning. Just ceiling fans so it’s just as hot inside f not more with the musty air of everyone’s breathing. Iced mocha about average. Pretty good but refreshing. Also ordered the soy chai tea latte iced but decided to ask for more chai and it came out good, they were more than happy to make the adjustments. Ordered the pepper and goat cheese quiche; crunchy and flaky top not Too cheesy and light. And turkey sandwich; crispy and cheesy ooey gooey.

Absolutely adore this coffee shop. I’ve been working in the area for about a year now and I’m kicking myself because I JUST discovered it! It’s the perfect cozy little shop tucked away in an unexpected corner of harlem. The coffee is great, and the bagels here are awesome. The baristas are kind and personable which is nice when you’re getting your morning cup. I can’t think of any reason not to stop by here if you’re in the area looking for real coffee!

This was my favourite spot to have coffee in my stay in Harlem, I love it. Before you enter in, you’ll realize that there’s a platform just outside of the place, with a big poster of the café’s name. The place is small, but really nice, it has wood tables and chairs, with some old lamps. This place gets crowded after 8am, so if want to have a seat you’d better go early to avoid waiting for a seat. Like in almost every café, there are two lanes, one for order and other in order to wait for orders. Staff is really nice, they are very chatty, kind and welcoming, split in the cashier or preparing the coffee and food. There are a lot of food to have, including pastries, muffins or bagels. There are some different kind of muffins(my favourite is the blueberries one) and bagels, where you can choose both bagel and fillings, I sticked with cream cheese, and they also have some different ones. At the end you can have your bagel toasted and they will notify you when it’s ready. Apart from typical coffee-related beverages(they have a lot of different ones), you can find some kinds of teas or just a Chai Latte, which it’s really good. There’s a good place to work with your laptop, in fact there are a lot of people with it or just reading a book. The WiFi works really good, and you can find some power plugs on the walls. The ambient is nice and the music is low, but after midday in summer it gets a bit hot as the A/C isn’t able to keep up with the heat, but under the fan is okey.
