Went here as part of a large group over the weekend. we tried many dishes off the menu. all the food was phenomenal and I would totally recommend coming here. the prices are reasonable, the food is tasty and the service is great. It has more than your typical«american chinese food» and i loved all the traditional szechuan dishes that I tried. I tried the cocktails as well and I loved the«zombie». its sweet and refreshing. i lives on the UES for a while and am sad that I am just now finding this place. oh btw: the food here can get SPICY. they do have other options on the menu, but they are known for there Szechuan cuisine(which is spicy).

1 All foods are early prepared. They could serve food in 30s, which kind of represent their quality. 2 Very very mediocre taste. Strongly recommend people not to go there.

What a nice surprise! Great food with fine service and even white linen tablecloths. The sauces were diverse in character and delicious. I will be back the next time we are in New York! A real find.

Have been dining here since the place opened, and have liked the food &‘service, but was just there again & don’t recognize any of the people working there. Has it been sold? Menu was the same, food was good, but service has a long way to go to be what it had been these past several years.

I will never go back. the craziest and rudest manager ever. Food was not bad but not sure why we were served by the crazy manager who had us eat on a wet table dripping tea all over the floor and us. I accidently knocked my tea over and no one offered to help with changing anything. At the end he stated yelling loudly at the mess I made I guess. we just left in amazement.

Had the best noodle dish(xinjiang chaomian) for lunch and my little one enjoyed his veggie dumplings. Service was impeccable and all staff members are helpful and friendly. They are definitely a kids friendly restaurant. Will definitely go again when we are in neighborhood.

My friends always come to me for questions as to what is the best Chinese food in town because I’m Chinese. I would say this restaurant is in the ballpark of offering authentic, typical spicy Sichuan food. What dishes you should try at Land of Plenty: — Spicy tofu fish. If you are a huge fan of spicy Sichuan food, you’ll become crazy about this dish as it electrifies every little taste bud of your tongue with its tender fish mixed with layers of spicy chici, pepper and Chinese five spices. — dou miao, my favorite vegetable dish. Not only it’s extremely healthy, full of fiber, but also it’s tasty! But you have to be careful when ordering this dish here because sometimes the dou miao imported to their restaurant isn’t fresh, which would make the vegetable taste too old and chewy. I would suggest you ask the waiter before ordering this dish if they have fresh dou miao today and they would normally be very honest with you. — Dan dan noodle. I’m proud to be a passionate noodle lover. I absolutely love their dan dan noodle with spicy sauce on top of noodles mixed with some healthy spinach. Their service is mediocre and the cleanliness of their bathrooms can be improved as well.

Came here for a quick lunch with my manager. I got the general tso lunch special and he got the spicy fish. I got spicy dumplings to start and he got the egg drop soup. They were both delicious and came out really quick. I got the veggie rice and general tso’s chicken which were also really good. Overall: Pretty good food, very fast service and all for $ 9(lunch special only).

Cellphone noodle, sesame chicken and shezuan style fish. They’re pretty good. Would come back to try some more dish. But I think the price a little steep.

Rude staff, loud conversations between staff Is a common sight! Rude manager who when asked for soup before meal got irked and refused to get soup at all. Ordered food without MSG and was promised would be so but when food was delivered they said food comes with MSG and that’s how it would be when they could have told me this before ordering when I asked. Tea was Cold and they dint think it was important to heat it even after telling them. Do not go here and waste your appetite.

The reviews on Unilocal seems alright so decided to give them a shot, placed an order online on seamless at a not so busy time i.e. 11:30 /11:45, well over an hour the food wasn’t here, so called them directly and was told that the delivery was on its way, only to arrive another half hour later & the delivery guy calling before he got to the lobby. The food by this time was cold, the rice got clumpy, the soup was way too cold and i had to do the microwave nuke, the other dishes I ordered were really dripping in oil, I had to extract a quarter beaker of oil before tasting the food. The food was bland with no flavor, even the chilli sauce provided to me had no bite, I just ate and quarter and dumped most of the food, I don’t believe I wil ever order from them again.

Arrived about an hour before the kitchen closed. Reasons for negative review: –Tea was cold. –Loud conversation between staff and chef throughout majority of meal. –Food was taken away without being asked if it was wanted. –Paid check was removed from table before leaving my seat. Summary: I have never experienced a more noisy dining experience because of staff. The food was tasty, but the amount of noise coming from both the waitstaff and the kitchen was entirely unacceptable. I have worked in several restaurants throughout my life. I cannot believe the staff can get away with carrying on conversation in the dining room as loud as they were while several tables were trying to enjoy their meal.

It’s the best Chinese food I’ve had in upper Manhattan to date. So 5 stars for that. I bet that it would compare well with some of the places out in Flushing. I actually dined in at the restaurant, which I would recommend. I always find that the take-out or delivery experience ruins the food. Service was very good for a Chinese restaurant, although the waiter stood at the table and looked at our tip after picking up our bill, which I thought was rude. 1. Stir fried lamb filets with roasted peppers and cumin: This was a hit at my table! Amazing flavor, quite spicy, and a decent amount of meat! I loved it! 2. Snow pea sprouts: Done right. You get a good portion. It’s crispy and not too soggy. 3. Pot of ribs: Yes yes yes. This was SO good. Comes out boiling hot from the small stove they place on your table. The ribs were meaty and plentiful. Also spicy. 4. Braised pork belly with chesnuts: My favorite. The pork belly was perfectly braised, and as a person of Taiwanese ancestry, I know good pork belly. This was definitely up there, with the beautiful layering of the fat with the meat. It was very tender. They definitely spent time preparing this dish. What’s better, it comes on a bed of bok choy. 5. Shanghai soup dumplings: These were also quite delicious. Now here, I would say that the soup was flavorful, but not quite as soupy as places like Ding tai feng. The skin is also a bit thinner, but it’s definitely among the best I’ve had in New York. Overall, the food here is phenomenal. Try to dine in if you can for the maximum food quality and presentation. Service is generally good with a few odd habits, but overall great.

Amazing service and large portions, all while delivering great flavor. Didn’t realize it was Michelin guide recommended, but well deserved that status.

One of the more authentic Sichuan/Chinese resturant in midtown. The service, taste, and quality of food here have been pretty consistent. Their twice cooked pork with chestnut is to die for if you dont mind chunks of melt in your mouth pork belly. I also recommend the seafood tofu soup, chicken with eggplant, stir fried string beans, and dang dang noodles. My two complaints will be from the little grits Ive came across in my baby bok choy and the lack of flavor in the fish fillet with cabbage.

Food & atmosphere are very very nice. I’ve enjoyed the lunch specials. There is a fish – I think it’s cod, served with tofu on the lunch special that was great! Huge portion & great taste. I really like their scallion pancake. I can still recall on a cold, winter’s night, on my way home after long workday, stopping in to take out the scallion pancake. It is thinner than others & I loved it. I even ate some as I walked home because I was so hungry. Near Bloomingdale’s for all you shoppers!!! I will be back to try other menu selections. Nice service & clean, pleasant atmosphere. They do have a roomy, TV& bar area.

Excellent food, great prices, lightning-fast service. I had the spicy steamed pork dumplings, chicken soup with spinach, and chicken with broccoli. Portions were good, soyAll were delicious, as god or better than anything else I’ve tried. For the region(Midtown East) the place is tops, I went there twice this week. You order and the food comes instantly, great for a quick meal. Staff all very friendly and make suggestions. You know it’s a good place when everyone else in the restaurant consist of several Asian families. Not to mention that it’s Michellin rated! Definitely my new go-to spot for Chinese cravings.

Great food, good service, and nice ambience. We ordered beef, fish, and spinach here for dinner. Each dish was great and was in large portion. We two got fully packed after dinner. The service was better than average Chinese restaurants in the town. The environment was even better. I couldn’t expect a better restaurant environment for gathering with Chinese friends-clean, bright, while casual and comfort. Will come back for sure.

Totally legit sichuan chinese food in Midtown NYC along with US style Customer service. I liked the Mapo Tofu dish a lot. Had the spicy sichuan peppers kick to it which it should have. Also another nice thing to note that rice and tea is complimentary here. Which is something I like as some Sichuanese restaurants don’t provide this.
