Came here because it was close to where I was working. It’s more of a coffee shop than a food place but the sandwiches and wraps are passable. Not a fan of the pretentious name and dark lit décor. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Came on a Sunday and ordered a turkey club wrap and curry chicken. The curry chicken was dry and tasted like it was cooked days earlier. Overall experience here is kind of meh.

Love the coffee, love the quiet and chic decorum and interior even more! My new hideout in TriBeCa now.

Great food, and it’s never too crowded. Coffee is meh, my cappuccino came out more like a latte. As many other reviewers have stated, the staff at the registers is incredibly rude, and not very knowledgable about their product(coffee!) I have no clue why management has yet to pick up on this, but for what they charge, this should be standard.

If you’re looking for a coffee shop in Tribeca, this is a great spot. I was looking for a place that had hot chocolate so I could wait for my husband to get off work and passed by this cute place. It looks real dark from the outside so I wasn’t sure if there was seating. It’s a long café so plenty of seating on the side. The hot chocolate was nice — not too rich and sweet but just right. If you like your chocolate blazing hot and super rich and chocolaty, then you won’t like it. I think it was under $ 4 for the chocolate — can’t remember but I said it wasn’t THAT bad of a price considering the area I was in. I grabbed a seat and hung out for a bit. My gripe was that this place was dark. Hard to see or read unless you grab a seat closer to the counter where there is more light. Good spot to kill time, grab a hot drink and catch up on reading.

If you are on the go and need a quick pick me up, then this is a good place to stop by. However if you are looking to do work on your laptop or catch up on your reading, this café is not the place to do it. This coffee shop has plenty of seating, but the place is dimly lit and can get quite loud at times. That’s because it is situated right across from the Citi office and is frequently bombarded by groups of people who need coffee.

Kaffe 1668 touts their beverages but I’m a fan of their food. They offer tons of gluten free options including sandwiches(!) which raises them head and shoulders above the rest of the neighborhood. However, their service can be slow and the interior is very, very dim. So get your sandwich to-go and enjoy it(and your complimentary house-brewed iced tea) by the Hudson!

Very nice décor. Came here and had an affagato. The wait for ice cream was so long the cashier gave my friend a free tea which was nice of her. The affagato was more ice cream thsn espresso(but hey I love ice cream, so it wasn’t a problem ;))The walls are lined with sheep and there was plenty of seating available. Mostly the«whole foods» crowd here since they all sorts of healthy snacks, salads, and juice.

My go-to lunch spot. Great sandwiches and salads with vegetarian options. They have them already packaged in the fridge if you’re in a rush — but if you want a fresh sandwich/salad, you can them make it to order. For added bonus, the sandwiches come with a free iced tea! I always get the egg and avocado sandwich and a latte.

I just want to reiterate the poor management and disgusting blasé attitude of the«baristas» here. If I am paying $ 5 for a cup of friggin coffee, I’d at least expect to be treated well — not like some inconvenience. I am consistently disappointed here. I have a half full coffee card and I don’t even want to go back because its always candlelit dim in there, full of bro dudes ordered skim macchiatos(wtf), and 15 people behind the counter doing I don’t know what. This café so clearly represents the values of the Tribeca clientele.

Ok guys your coffee may be brilliant BUT when I ask for a ¾ filled give me ¾ filled not full fill and throw away ¼. It is not strong enough for me. Fu%k and double fu%k.

Décor: 6 stars Coffee and service: 1 star Price: $$$ Went there on the weekend. Ordered two lattes and there was no line when we were there. One coffee was cold and the other coffee was barely warm. This place really has potential and looks like a few regulars do come here. Maybe it’s just not the same on Sundays.

I’m no coffee aficionado but man am I in love with this place! I can’t say much about the coffee here(the iced mocha is indeed basic but so good!), but the atmosphere is on point, dimmed light, candles in little mason jars, fresh-cut flowers: very soothing and focus-inducing, felt like I could write a book here! Also found it super funny how I think most about sheep when I’m having trouble falling asleep but this coffee place has walls decorated with sheep for you to count! Call me easily amused but I had a nice little laugh here hahah Definitely will be returning if I’m around this neighborhood again!

If you’re a coffee drinker, they have a great selection of freshly ground coffee. I’ve tried Colombian and Guatemalan and they are both heavenly. Their coffee of the day is not so bad either. Unfortunately, I stopped drinking coffee, but I definitely recommend you to try a cup next time you’re in the area! I’ve tried their alkalizing salad and grilled chicken mango guacamole on gluten free bread for lunch. It tastes very fresh and an interesting combination of flavors. Plus everything is super healthy, so you come out feeling energetic and ready to conquer the world. Ambiance is very hipster-y. Lots of sheep. Wooden tables. Perfect place to get some work done if you don’t mind dim lighting. Note it might get a little rowdy during lunch time.

Delicious coffee and pastry. Seems like a great place to bring a laptop and get some work done, all while taking in the many sheep decorations. The raspberry jam scone is divine.

I would love to sit in this café all freaking day. Sheep décor is on point — freaking cute. The coffee is good. Tried the lemon detox balls and it was okay. It felt like I was chewing on a ball of shaved coconuts… 4 stars for space and décor

Hot mess. Rude staff. Lazy baristas. Gross coffee. We were the ONLY people ordering a coffee and two girls behind the counter were gossiping. One comes up to take our order, says she can only put the coffees in to-go cups since all the cups are dirty. We asked if they could put it in any glassware, even a different size? She looked at us like we were crazy and said«We don’t do that here.» So we ordered espresso instead. The cashier rang us up after a weird interaction, and we were served a dirty cup of espresso like I have never seen… like half of the outside of the cup was drenched in espresso to the point you couldn’t even pick it up off the saucer. Maybe you couldn’t see in the candlelight? We sent it back and the barista agreed it had channeled pretty badly and gave us another(in the same cup) that also channeled everywhere, but not quite as badly. I could not believe the laziness. I have worked in specialty coffee and you at least wipe the rim if you make a mess pulling your shot. It was ridiculously under-extracted, something was clearly off with the espresso that day. We didn’t finish it and left. Awful. Try harder.

When I walked into this swanky, low-key coffee shop, I thought I had mistakenly stumbled into a hipster restaurant. People were sitting at low tables by candlelight at three in the afternoon. The surprisingly tall wood-covered walls(a couple of which had rows and rows of stuffed sheep) made me feel like I was in a billionaire’s barn. The patrons either celebrities, gorgeous, well-dressed, rich… or at least two out of four of those things. I was a bit confused by the ordering process. I *think* there were menus, but I just breezed right by them and felt like an idiot when I got to the counter and had no idea what to order. I ended up getting a $ 4 iced tea rather than a $ 6 coffee(which I understand has beans that are ground-to-order). I had to sweeten it myself, which was a bummer, but there was simple syrup at the counter, which was awesome. My iced tea tasted like someone had put orange peels and rose petals in water. In other words, it had both a lot of taste and not much taste, which was an odd combo. But I ended up really liking it. I can’t say that I would make a huge effort to return, but if I were in the neighborhood, I would certainly stop by, if only to people-watch!

Same awesome coffee + more actual food + way less crowded than the one by the World Trade Center = I think I love you even more Kaffe.

This place is great for super expensive coffee. Yuppie meets hipster, with a cute sheep mascot. Dim lighting, a lounge-like feel, wooden tables, a wall full of sheep figurines. The atmosphere is cool, very much like a place where a latte costs upwards of $ 4 and makes Starbucks look like a bargain. The coffee was alright – I had a plain black coffee. I’ve come here for some meetings and found that it’s not the ideal place to talk – it’s noisy and you can’t really hear too well even when sitting across from one another. I had to raise my voice frequently in order to be heard over the din of coffee machines, chatter, and trendy music. All in all, cute place but probably better and cheaper coffee across the street from the carts.

Nice place for a grab and go coffee to wander down Greenwich street. Iced Latte($ 4.75): very strong, a good amount of milk, and flavorful. They actually have Stevia packets(instead of just the usual Splenda/Equal culprits), or honey to add in. The place itself is dark as opposed to the usual bright café, so a change of pace if you like that sort of thing. Wish they would put the coffee menu in an easier location to read. You can’t see it until you’re basically at the counter, and thus rushed to order. Also, a tad expensive, so will stick to the basics.
