Grilled chicken buffalo wrap is incredibly delicious and everything is fresh. I don’t like dressing on my salads so I love that they put it on the side.

And yet again, they win the award for the worst delivery service in the city. 1.5 hours for an order that was promised within 30 – 45 minutes.

Still a great value. I had the Thai Crunch Salad today and re-purchased a reusable bowl(because I don’t know where my other 4 or 5 went). $ 8.70 for a filling salad with chicken, you cannot beat that. Plus they have so many low calorie salad and dressing options. I’ve been wanting salad vs. hot food lately since it is getting warmer.

Hit or miss Just Salad location. It’s always busy, or it at least appears that way. This is one of the smallest locations I have ever seen(and I used to work in FiDi where everything is small). No seating whatsoever but still plenty of people working and 5 or 6 chopping stations so the line moves quick. They also have someone who takes your order so you can head right to the chopping station. The staff is friendly but the newer guys haven’t memorized the dressings yet. The can of soda I got was a can of ice. I opened it at my desk and it nearly exploded, then I saw and heard the ice crunching around inside. So… The fridges are kept much too cold. The salads are usually pretty good but sometimes they’re a little bland and I cannot figure out why. Still a decent spot to grab a(relatively) healthy lunch. $ 10 or so with a drink which is a bit steep but it’s Midtown so what do you expect?

EPICFAIL — STOPTRYINGTOKILLME. JUSTSALAD? I think JUSTSAD. I’ve been a loyal JS customer for quite some time now, religiously carrying my green reusable bowl to fill up on the extras and what have you. I gave you ample time to make up for having put NUTSANDCARROTSINMYSALAD — neither of which were ever requested(there were a couple cranberries, too — which I didn’t mind as much). I AMDEATHLYALLERGICTONUTS. Don’t you people know how dangerous that could be? I asked for a turkey health cobb — THEREARENONUTS in that salad, and it’s the ONLY salad I get from JS. I’m not allergic to carrots but I absolutely hate it. If it wasn’t for an occasion that brought me to midtown sometimes these days, I wouldn’t be ordering from JS ever! I reached out and messaged this location(since ya’ll don’t pick up the phone anyway) after having THROWN my salad out to tell them THEYPUTNUTSINMYSALAD — which wasn’t asked for nor is it part of this signature salad. No thanks to slow death by nuts. I got a message back a couple days later(undeserved patience) from the manager, to which I responded to in minutes. I have YET to hear back from her. I replied to her via email AND via Unilocal, and nothing. Really? Either there’s a TON of negative messages that the manager has to respond to(but that can’t take long — it’s the same message sent out to everyone), or they’re just not paying attention. This is a service industry business, and you’ve failed in that regard. I gave you the benefit of the doubt that it was a honest one-time mistake before posting this review(like I said in my message). I gave you the opportunity to correct the error, not just throw out a template message that’s left on every negative review — why not have a robot do that? If you’re not expecting a response to your response, which asks that we reach out to you, why do you even bother? Service is already terrible at most JS locations, but when you get a salad you can’t even eat and you’ve paid $ 12, I EXPECTYOUTORECTIFYTHESITUATION. Who wants to throw money and food away? ESPECIALLYWHEN I’M STARVING. Shame on you.

Felt like it’s about time to give an update on my review, as I have been visiting this Just Salad location for more than 30 times now and probably have had encountered everything. First — food quality, 4.5÷5. Everything was sourced local and freshly prepared; and you could taste that out easily. They occasional provide seasonal add-on(the one I liked the most was roasted cauliflower) for slightly higher price. Service — quick and attentive, 4⁄5. I deducted one point here as sometimes they messed up with my order; however they changed it quickly with apologies. Wait time — 5 min if coming in before 1130; much longer if after 12. In one sentence, I really enjoyed my salad and experience here and as the check-in shows, will be constantly coming back!

Just Salad. I REALLY wanted to like you, no worries, I will be back very soon. Tip: Do NOT get the Tandoori Chicken. Seriously, it tastes oddly sweet and spicy(and not in the good way). The other combinations that go with it– pita chips, feta, red onion, cucumbers– are awesome… just switch the protein. I came here to grab a quick lunch on a Friday and was in and out in the door in 10 minutes. I decided to get something on the menu, no substitutions/additions, so it was easy, but I can easily see how someone would get frustrated when their order gets messed up or the lack of customer service at the salad counter. The person who«chopped» my salad was awesome. They make sure to get every last piece of lettuce into the bowl and move quickly to ensure everything is mixed well. A decent size salad for $ 10? I’m down! I don’t think it was too expensive and I was filled before I finished the whole thing. *Ps. Just salad is not«just salad» you can make a wrap too :)

This place still sucks… I hated the delivery guy from this place a year ago. But I really craved for salad during late working hours. So I gave it a try. I ordered from this place twice this month. Both times failed with the simplest thing! — Ordered a chicken Caesar salad with portobello mushroom. That big axx mushroom was cut half way and slap on top of the salad(see the picture I uploaded). There were like less than 6 pieces of chicken in there(6 little cubes). They probably gave me less than 1 squeeze of dressing which is all the way at the bottom of the container. The rest of the salad was dry. — Ordered a salad with an extra avocado dressing on the side. EXTRA means I still want dressing in my salad. It was dry as hell. I called and complain and apparently it’s the«head office» of Just Salad. They called the store and asked them to deliver another dressing for me. They say it would arrive in 10 mins. They never came I guess me and the people in my office will NEVER order from Just Salad again!

Really enjoyed my salad, but not so much the rushed service. You just have to know what you want and how the process works before you walk in, even if it’s your first time(like it was for me). There is NO time to ponder if you go at peak lunch time.

I came in around 2:30 pm so the lunch crowd was gone. The portions were generous, I asked for ½ spinach kale, beets, shredded carrots, cucumbers, corn & blk beans, lemon and olive oil. My salad tosser was friendly(no pun intended) he even chopped it up just the way I like it but the taste was off. It wasn’t tasty just big, and colorful. I liked paying with level up but it was not my best salad experience. I go over to chop’ed and it’s like a lil explosion with every forkful — Just Salad missed the mark.

Picked up lunch from Just Salad yesterday… here are my thoughts: Service is rushed and unfriendly. I explained it was my first time ordering but nobody really cared to explain the process so I stumbled through the confusion like a moron. The place was super busy and the lines were long. My grain bowl was bland. I had the quinoa/lentils with bell pepper, broccoli, pepperocini, and carrots. I asked for olive oil as my dressing and the guy at the chopper station — who didn’t really chop my salad at all — poured it on so liberally that was all I could taste. The olive oil also leaked out of the container and all over the bag. The premium toppings looked much better than the standard toppings, and I really wanted to add shrimp or maybe avocado to my order, but couldn’t justify an additional $ 4 — $ 6. I ended up paying $ 10 for my lunch and expected far more for this price. Why would I return when I can go to Dig Inn and get better for for less? Sorry to be harsh but this place is really Just Terrible.

This is not a one off incident. I ordered a salad for delivery at 11 am one day last week via my seamless account. estimated time given 30 – 45 mins. I called them after 90 mins and they haven’t even seen the order yet. there are lot of negative feedbacks about delivery from this place. I don’t think getting a salad should be so difficult. I had to be on the phone on hold for 10 – 15 mins with them and another 15 mins on seamless to get the money credited back. The reason we do seamless is to save time by not going out to get lunch. very unfair and terrible delivery service. This place needs a reality check on the management at this particular location. I literally spent about 45 minutes to fix the situation after waiting for the initial 90 mins. crazy as it sounds, i still can’t believe a chain like them is so irresponsible. I am going to suggest no more group orders from this particular location. If you can’t keep the time window, as a courtesy call back the customer and let them now so they don’t have to be stuck waiting for the delivery call.

The manager of the store is super nice. He remembered my name and gave me a free salad when I forgot to take my credit card, sweet! Always a big fan of just salad. The food there make me feel good about myself and happy. Btw, this is my first Unilocal review: p

The WORST delivery service in the city – hands down. 15 minutes means an hour to these people and this is pretty consistent. The salads are very good, I just hope a competitor opens up soon as then they will be forced to clean up their act.

Don’t ever order the«winter warm bowl». It’s an overpriced product with very small portion. Worst of all, it’s still as cold as the other kinds of salad. I will never purchase it again.

NEVERORDERFORDELIVERY — The worst! Twice I ordered and twice I had issues. This time it just never arrived — Waiting 2 hours for a salad is just ridiculous. Not sure how the place can actually be in business. They mgmt should be fired.

Chopt is like a Starbucks with fancier salads and higher prices. Just Salad is like a Dunkin’ Donuts, its cheaper and not trying to impress anyone. Like all mid-town lunch places, there is chaos. Long lines, small places, people shouting inaudible order and line numbers and virtually no time to hesitate ordering or pulling out a credit card to pay. Yes, the bread is stale and sucks just like Chopt«bread». But, the salad and wraps are great. Big size and quality products. They have level-up if your into that.

I really like this location. The lines get really long for lunch, but it does move fairly quick. The salads are yummy, the guys doing the chopping are really cool. Prices are pretty high for salad, but I love having all the choices and the bread is yummy.

Apparently the overall-three-star rating tells. It has nothing to do with their taste and I actually liked it a lot, it’s about how they can mess up with your order even with back and forth communication. Ordered the roasted turkey Cobb salad as usual and specifically asked for no cheese — even had this marked on the paper. There were still cheese. They were about to hand me the order before I told them I don’t want it. Come on, there should not be any excuse on this as there was literally no line! Was about to rate one star but I felt like I should add two stars back as they eventually got it right. Very disappointed.

This Just Salad location is walking distance from my college(Baruch). Since I had a long day, I wanted to get something healthy to eat. I grew tired of subway sandwiches so I opted to Just Salad. I was impressed of how clean the inside was. I was greeted by the worker from the moment I walked in the door. He took his time guiding me through the options they had to offer. I walked out with a shrimp salad. Lettuce, corn & shrimp all chopped up with spicy ranch sauce drizzling all over it. Can you say yummy??? Overall I was satisfied.

A friend I work with recommended this place to me one day, because I said I wanted a break from all of the common places I tended to go. Other places I go nearby are all great, but I like change every once in awhile! This place provided the two things I love most: food that doesn’t make me feel like crap or exhausted right after, and a good price. Over the past month I’ve gone here several times for lunch and ordered the Mediterranean salad as a wrap, and it’s just so delicious and not very pricey(around $ 8 for a LOT of food — sometimes I don’t finish the entire thing!). I know this place is a chain, but it’s pretty underrated, in my opinion.

Great for a quick lunch or on the go salad or wrap. I needed something to eat immediately but did not have time to sit down; passed this place and decided to give it a try. I asked for a suggestion and they recommended the chipotle salad wrap … Salad was fresh and they added shrimp which I’m typically apprehensive about getting at casual lunch places but it wasn’t bad… The lettuce and other items added to the wrap were fresh and the Sauces were a little spicy — very good — and they let me try the sauce ahead to ensure it wasn’t too spicy for me. I was literally running to make it somewhere and needed something quick to eat. The manager and employees were friendly, and very quick to make my wrap and get me on my way.

I work in the area and am always impressed with how swiftly this location ushers everyone through. The line during the lunch rush can be quite long, but I guess it’s also a testament to how popular the establishment is around here. They get you in and out pretty fast, which is THE main priority for any employee on a ticking-tock of a lunch break… If you work in the area, it’s kind of like«Cheers,» a place where everybody knows your name. Or at least Bridget, the first friendly face you see when you walk through the door, does. She makes it a point to memorize your name if she can and at the very least offers youthful banter while you wait. The rest of the young staff-line also lend some quirky, humorous overtones to your wait. The whole thing goes by pretty fast and I always end up leaving there with my day brightened…

The Good. Everything is reasonably fresh. The dressings taste good. Poblano ranch is nice. It’s slightly better than Chop’t. Especially the complimentary bread, which is ciabatta as opposed to sad tortilla. The pre-determined combo salads are a good deal, at least comparatively to the build-your-own option. The Bad. The chicken is often dry and sad. If I want to make my own combo, it’s about 30−50% more expensive than it would be at a local deli(how is it $ 13 for that?!). The Ugly. The chopping is half assed. I recently got several chunks of beet in my «chopped» salad that were at least a half a beet each. I suppose I’m happy about the sheer amount of beets, but c’mon man. Perhaps the dudes chopping will get better at this as they build up their chopping muscles; it is a new store, after all. But in the meantime, what, am I supposed to cut up my own food? Like a peasant? Like an ADULT?!

Salad is pretty much like last resort food for me, BUT I’m trying this new thing in my life(and probably bandwagoning the whole fad), where I’m actually trying to eat as healthy as possible(though it’s probably not going to last). I’m not one to go speciality salad places that charge over $ 10 because… seriously? I came here during their opening day, where their promotion was a «Pay what you wish» –kind of deal, and were supposedly handing out NYHRC passes. I’m not sure if ordering in line is pretty standard for them or it was just for the busy opening day, but the process of ordering was a little annoying and hectic, to say the least. I ordered the California Salad and I really enjoyed it. The lettuce is really of some high quality and is probably one of crunchiest I’ve ever had. With that and the bread, it was a filling and guilt-free meal. Despite the rush and the increasing long line, the guy who made my salad was patient and let me sample some of the dressings since it was my first time there and wasn’t sure what to put on it; in the end, I went with plain, boring balsamic vinegar – so much for sampling! The prices are a little steep but I will consider coming back if I’m ever in the mood for a salad. Even though they had no idea what the hell I was referring to about the NYHRC passes, it was a pleasant experience overall and the staff was polite well under pressure.

Spring Seasonal Cajun El Paso Grill was a definite improvement, and staff were friendlier and less rushed, but beware the reusable container, as the tab sliced my finger open. Note this is NOT Park Ave South, and predated the one actually on Park Ave S. at a similarly numbered address to this listing(we’ll see if Unilocal accepts my correction).

I am absolutely horrified. My wife orders from Just Salad quite frequently for lunch while she is at work. Today, she did the same — and it will be the absolute last time we eat from this establishment. My wife had a humongous cockroach or grasshopper(can’t tell) mixed into her salad. I’m absolutely appalled and feel so horrible for what she must be feeling right now. When calling and reporting this to the restaurant, they offered her a replacement salad or a coupon. Maybe that’s all that could be done but it somehow seems awfully inadequate. We’ll be reporting this to the NY Health Department immediately. There is absolutely no excuse, especially in raw food, to have an entire cockroach mixed in. I can’t even fathom how this happens. How does the person mixing the salad miss this? How does it get in there in the first place? Do the employees even pay attention to what they are doing? What kind of sanitary conditions, processes, and safeguards does the restaurant have? I’m attaching a picture. I’m guessing it will be removed, but know that I did try. Don’t look if you are about to eat anything in the next few hours.

Just Salad just opened on 4÷9÷2015 at 315 Park Avenue South located between 23 and 24th Street. I was meeting my boyfriend last night and I decided to get the salad last night for the next day. I’m having the Asian sesame grain salad for breakfast right now, don’t judge! I got the dressing separate so the salad would not get soggy. It is actually delicious. The wheat berries and quinoa were a yummy. I took a star off because the ordering process is chaos. You get on line, and when it’s your turn… not sure what to do and understanding the process is not easy… almost doesn’t even make sense. 1. The toppings should be labeled. the person asking me what I wanted in my salad was waiting for me to tell her what to put in my salad but I can’t see everything down the case. There is no list anywhere at the ordering station. Made ordering chaotic. Then 2. the first person who scoops the ingredients into the bowl passes the salad onto someone else down the line to finish putting your salad together. that is where you’ll lose your salad and congestion starts around that area of the store. No one knows where their salad went. I am hoping they fix that part of service soon because trying to figure out where your salad went is insane. I had a old mad yelling right into my ear at the person preparing his salad. I had to stop him from rupturing my eardrum! Dealing with the mess of a ordering system was an ordeal last night. Overall the salad was delicious and it was filling. It a nice sized salad to fill you. Not a tiny little thing like some places are. It’s a real entrée sized salad. Maybe it needs a tiny bit more meat. I barely tasted the chicken in my salad. Only once in a while I encountered a small piece of chicken.

New location a block from the office! I’ve been a JS fan ever since earning their blue bowl last year and I can say that this new location opening up is a great start to spring. Buy a reusable bowl for additional toppings and use LevelUp for a loyalty bonus. My favorites include the turkey cobb, pesto chicken, and hudson valley mix. Their spring booty slimdown and cajun el paso grill are huge improvements over the winter seasonal salads, and the new staff here makes sure everything is perfect with your meal. I love how they donated 100% of their proceeds to the food bank on their grand opening. Fingers crossed for a 2015VIP Red Bowl; lunch just got exciting in Flatiron again!

Just Salad just open across the street from my office. Now I can get fresh salad right with very little effort. I like the Value salad– Caesar, Thai Chicken Crunch, Buffalo Chicken, Asian Sesame Grain and Mediterranean Mix. Salad prices are $ 7.99.
