The absolute worse service. These associates prefer to help tourists. No clue why… maybe because they’re in no rush and NYers like me have no patience? Regardless what it is, you will wait and wait to get taken care of. The cashier is even slower and writes the sales down on a sheet. Isn’t this the 21st century? I literally waited 25 mins to return a iPad case. Unreal. Next time, Best Buy will do.

I recently got a great new job, so wanted to reward myself with a new iPod. I shopped around online, and saw that J&R had the best price. I wasn’t sure what color I wanted, so went to the nearby express store to pick one out. I must admit, it’s in a weird location. It took a little work to find and the signs were a little confusing, but I eventually found my way. The salesman who helped me was very nice and patient, and I ended up getting in and out of there very quickly. It was a pleasant experience, and I’ll probably buy from them again. Oh, and for an «express» store that is located within another store, they have a great selection of merchandise. I was a little worried that they wouldn’t have everything I wanted to choose from, but there was no need to worry. I was impressed with their selection, not only of iPods but cameras, TVs, etc.

I was in the market for a new digital camera since my camera was stolen from my home. And considering how affordable the trusted brand of canon is, I knew what I was going for as far as quality was concerned. I’ve vowed never to return to a Best Buy. So I come here, to avoid dumb people and refrain from feeling overwhelmed by merchandise. Once you dodge the maze of the Cellar and kitchen & home department and squeeze through the tourist trap of Macy’s Herald Square merch you’ve arrived! There’s no help on the floor. Everyone that works here pretty much stays behind the counter. But if you have questions they will spend time with you so that you know what you need to know before purchasing. I did my camera research before I got there so I just asked for what I needed and was in and out in about 3.5 minutes. You tell the employee what you want, they get it, hand it to the casheir and point you out as you queue up. Seriously express. I love it when retailers tell the truth.
