J Braun Liquors

A long time liquor stalwart in the UES neighborhood where I live. Love seeing the old school neon signage for J. Braun lit up at night. This shop features a decent selection of all types of wines at price points from below $ 10 a bottle to the more expensive varieties. Kind of a tight squeeze as it seems everything is packed into every available space here. Most of the usual wine regions are represented — California, Spain, France, Australia, etc. They also carry a nice selection of the harder spirits too.
One good perk here is if you buy a case or more (any 12 bottles), they offer a 15% discount on the overall price. They will also deliver but will charge depending on where the delivery is going and how large it is.
Only open until 9PM, but there are many other wine stores nearby with later hours if in need of a booze run. There is a lot of competition in the area that are better laid out and offer more, but not bad when grabbing a bottle for dinner on the way home. Picked up a bottle of Cline recently that was $ 12.99 which is fair for this brand.
