Great sandwich and pastry shop. Everything we tried was super delicious and well made from the croissants to the fruit tarts. Exceptional customer service as well. We ate here every morning we were in NYC and it was a great way to start the day.

This is my favorite coffee shop in the UES and one of my favorites in all of Manhattan! The employees are SO sweet and friendly, plus they remember all of their frequent customers. I love their iced coffee with soy milk. It’s so delicious! There’s not a lot of seating but when it isn’t super cold they have those darling mosaic tables outside to sit at. My favorite pastry is the mocha éclair. Yummmm! Come for the coffee, stay for the pastries, come back for the service!

They don’t dress your bagel, cream cheese and butter comes packaged. Great coffee tho!

Friendliest neighborhood café around! The people who work there are extremely welcoming and homey, and it makes this place feel like a neighborhood icon. Good coffee, macaroons and mini baguette sandwiches too!

Found this wonderful neighborhood café on the way to the Frick. Spent several hours seated at sidewalk tables and had great conversations with some regulars from the neighborhood. The latte and blueberry tart were delicious. Will definitely come back next time I’m in the area.

I was out with a friend for a leisurely treat and entered this gem. I encountered crusty cupcakes, dry and stale tarts and an unpleasant experience. This place did not float my boat. Not even close. Steer clear. SOS. Unless you enjoy crusty cupcakes and broken dreams.

Corrado’s is a neighborhood bread and pastry café that has fantastic pastries(gotta try their brownies), they have the best vanilla lattes, and their coffee prices are cheaper than Starbucks AND better tasting. Not overly crowded, but always a steady flow of people. On sunny and warm days the outside tables are usually occupied. I find morning’s are the best times to go if you want to drink and eat your pastry outside.

With coffee/bakery/luncheon places around the upper east side, it’s hard to find the right one to grab the morning cup of Jo. I’ve tried a bunch around the area and it seems like a lot of these places share a common baker as well. Corrados almond croissant will be just as good over at Julianos but I could be wrong about the common baker thing. The coffee does set it apart from your Dunkin Donuts though. I drink my coffee black most days and I’ve grown a liking to Corrados morning go go juice. It’s not acidic and it has good flavor. The smallest and tiniest gripe I have is it costs me $ 2.10 for a large cup when Julianos has it for $ 2 even. Again emphasis on the smallest and tiniest complaint. I just rather not carry a pocket full of change on my way to work. As for the sandwiches and salads, I’ve only ate there a couple time and tried the chicken salad sandwich which was just like any other sandwich on the go and a salad that my taste buds can’t remember. Go for the coffee and a baked item to go! If you have time enjoy it on the outdoor seating.

Everything looks very appetizing, including the dried out mini-brioch sandwich shrink-wrapped and looks and tastes like a leftover from the week before. And i did not even try the hard boiled egg, that is for sale for $ 1, yes ONEUSDOLLAR for one hard boiled egg.

I appreciate that they serve coffee in real porcelain cups. There is something so dry and irritating about paper cups. They feel so wrong. Foam not so bad, a little more glidey and smooth but nothing compared to a porcelain cup. Loved the coffee here. Desserts were decent as well. Tarts were good, macaroons eh, the cookies! Yes the cookies. Nice little café:)

This review is based on the SCONES only. Corrado’s please don’t leave on the counter, and serve to customers, old mushy scones! Seriously, I never had a scone so old, humid, and chewy. Waiters were not that nice as well. Coffee was excellent thou, and everything else seemed tasty. Good luck with everything else!

This review is based on the pre-made sandwiches only. We got the turkey and the basil chicken salad. We weren’t expecting a life changing experience, just something decent for a picnic in the park. But the sandwiches were bland and mushy to the point of being gross enough to stop eating. To be fair to the place the pastries/bread look good, and that’s probably what they’re known for.

3.5. I was served a brie and tomato sandwich on some of the toughest bread my two front teeth have come across. My jaw cracked. Granted, it was 7pm and perhaps staleness sets in at that time. The desserts bars we ate were not overwhelmingly sugary. The cashier(who was incredibly lively, funny and talkative) recommended a chocolate bar covered with nuts and embedded in cheese. It definitely grew on me. The staff, really awesome and funny. The desserts were tasty. My 3.5 is not a 4 because of the sandwiches. However, I’ll be back here soon to give this cozy place another shot.

I hate writing reviews that I can’t rave about but I have to do my due diligence! The lavender macarons were too dry, not chewy enough, not pillowy. The flavors were there, but it didn’t taste fresh due to the dry texture. The green tea biscuit cookies were right on the flavor but still weird on the texture. Maybe more butter? I also ordered a basil chicken salad sandwich for my flight the next day. It tasted okay. Nothing spectacular. Since it was a day old then I won’t comment on the texture. Even though I am ALL about texture. Service is not very friendly or prompt. Is that just an upper east side thing?

Kind of a mini chain here in the city. This location is very small, but does offer four or five small tables ouside to sit and people watch when weather is nice. Only a narrow counter to lean on inside. Place is on the cute side, and servers are nice. Coffee is a bit overpriced for the area, and I am not a fan of their bread. They do have some cool pastries that are ok for the price, but some are hit or miss as far as taste goes. They also offer sandwiches which are actually pretty good. If heading up to Central Park on a nice day this is a good choice to grab a few things for a blanket lunch. But be aware that your total bill will add up quickly if you get a bunch of things. In my opinion it is really a 2.5 star rating, but will give it 3 stars for the friendly staff and outside seating in summer.

Great little neighborhood café. I’m sorry, did I say little? Minuscule is more like it. But it doesn’t matter, because once you get inside it feels very comfortable. The staff sets a civilized tone, always pleasant, never rushing you, completely attentive. The elegant pastries and cakes in the display case are fine, but the brownies and cupcakes are what the neighborhood kids clamor for after school. Sandwiches are solid, and the spinach tart($ 5!) is flaky and moist, but could use a bit more feta. They’ll warm it up if you want. Breads in the front are nice to grab on your way home. Coffee is great. The five café tables outside handle the overflow. You can try to sit at the counter, but it’s just not relaxing to have every passing bag and backpack taking a swipe at you.
