Great neighborhood bar. My partner lives in the neighborhood and we come here every once in a while. I feel comfortable and the bartender is great. I usually go for a beer, but now they have a frozen drinks machine and the margarita-like one is good along with the pepperoni pizza. It’s a college student hang out(city college is across the street) but the students aren’t disturbing and they have plenty of tvs for sports and aren’t opposed to changing a game for you.

Stopped into Grill on the Hill for a quick bite and had the salmon BLT, my brother in law had a burger and the garlic and Parmesan chicken wings. The food was great! Their fries were delicious and service was excellent. I would definitely go there again.

Great local spot! Just found it today on a walk with my dog. Brought my girlfriend for 50 cent wings. Had the garlic Parmesan which were dynamite. Great music. Great vibe. Best happy hour specials in the area. Might be my neighborhood spot from now on.

Did a paint nite here at the back of the bar. Afterwards my friends and I decided to stick around for a couple of drinks and food. The crowd was mostly college students and a few neighborhood people. The bartender/waiter was very attentive I wish I got his name, only thing is he took long with our check. They have good drink specials mostly beer and 2 for 1 glasses of wine and the sweet potato fries were delish. Yes this is a dive bar but an OK place to go just to hang out with friends, for the drink specials and the sweet potato fries.

Excellent service. The brunch menu with unlimited mimosas rocks. Get the shrimp and red grits, or the chicken biscuit!

My knucklehead husband keeps insisting that we return to this place. He loves gross dives with mop-water smells and low standards. The food is so bad. The only thing edible on the menu are the wings. GOTH, why don’t you just cut your menu down to 4 options and GETTHEMRIGHT! I’ve eaten Hot Pockets better than your pizza! Luckily, the bartenders are pretty nice and will turn on your game if you ask. It would be easier if they would label the screens. So simple, but I just can’t even.

Went here on a football Sunday. Definitely a sports bar feel where you can get pitchers and watch the game. I ordered the salmon omelet and my date ordered the waffles. Our food was good. We ordered margaritas as that was part of the brunch special and had 3 each– definitely left feeling a little buzzed. The service was good, but we often had to flag down our server for more assistance with napkins, drinks, etc. She seemed to be more on the new side. The happy hour was a little confusing as it read online 2 pm and on the menu it said 1 pm but she clarified and said it was until 2 pm. Definitely more of a casual place, but good if you want to relax and watch a game.

My girl and I went here for a couple of drink on our first night in NY. Place was cool. They had the Monday night game on. Beer menu was good but the bartender was weird. He offered us a free drink, then charged us for it. I didn’t say anything about it but he seemed like he was spaced out? I dont know? We won’t go back!

This spot was delicious and hearty. They had a very good craft beer selection. Order the flights, you get more bang for the buck. The crew was very friendly, Jessie the waitress was spontaneous and fun and correct with her recommendations. Cone hungry they just changed their menu. The appetizer were filling by its self. Definitely going back. Gonna have to try the Sunday brunch.

I dont know why I decided to give this place another chance. Went there for lunch today and the service was just plain horrible. The waiter said when ever im ready grab a menu from the bar… Arent they supposed to bring you the menu? Whatever, I go grab my menu to only have to return to the bar to order my food and drink… ok… Ordered a beer… Had to go to the bar to pick up my beer… ok … Food was terrible its like those frozen wings and fries you can find in the super market. an order of terrible wings fries and one beer came up to 27 when i couldve just went down the block to the dominican spot and had a feast for 7 dollars. Dont come here unless its for a quick drink near campus. The food is bad and the service is even worse and theyre too pricey for the quality of food.

I came here with my two favorite dudes for a Mets game and we all loved it. It was really a spur of the moment decision to go to Grill on the Hill. We didn’t have anything else to do, so we decide to chill at a bar and watch the game. It was surprisingly packed when we arrived around 9pm ish — definitely wasn’t expecting it to be as crowded as it was. The crowd was in their 20s and 30s, and seemed to be there for the same reason we were — chill vibes and decent priced drinks. The drink selection is pretty diverse. I didn’t try any cocktails, just stuck with my Sam Adams Octoberfest substitute(they ran out of the authentic brew that night, bummer). The bartender with the big curly hair was attentive and friendly. She made sure our drinks were flowing and kept our shots going. Hit up Grill on the Hill for the next big game. I’ll definitely be back to try the small bites.

I visited this place not too long after they first opened the place. I ordered Chicken and Biscuit for the first visit. Chickens were not boneless, the way I like, and the biscuits were a bit dry. The seasoning of the dish was bland. I ordered the same dish tonight. The waitress was kind. But the food?, no. They switched the chickens to breaded chicken strips. I do not have a problem with that. The biscuits are dry and so dense that they were flattened, instead of crispy, crumbly, soft, and puffy. The Crusts of the biscuits are hard, not crumbly hard. It felt like I was chewing a dense, dry, old bread, since they also were bland. Gravy was bland, too. Everything was bland except the chicken strips. I wonder and doubt if anything in the dish was homemade. Disappointed.

Their beer lines taste very weird. Took forever to get our winds and burger. The free popcorn is cool. Please clean your beer lines or just sell bottled beer…

I’m Very happy to have grill on the hill in the neighborhood. A great place to hangout after work and socialize. The staff are awesome and the owners are very attentive.

We came here to watch football last Sunday, as they have all of the NFL games on, and our respective teams games were not played on our home tv. Carolina the bar tender was great. Kept an eye on our drinks and made sure they were never empty. A+! We had some apps and then both opted for a burger for our meal. Apps were buffalo wings & jalapeño poppers. Both were really good, but the poppers were not your traditional fried poppers-which I loved! The burgers were both over cooked. We asked for rare and got medium-well. They were still flavorful and good, though. The lack of a star is because the food took a really long time to come. It was around 30 minutes from the time we ordered until we received our dishes. The place is small, the food is decent, the drinks and atmosphere were great. Can’t wait to go back again to watch more football!

We came at a time where there was maybe one other person here and it was one of the best tiny restaurant/bar places I’ve ever been to. The drinks weren’t that great — they had a deal of 2 for 1 wine/mimosa but the food was absolutely delicious! When the chef brought out the food, he came over and talked to us — which I’ve never had any chef done before. It seems like they’re revamping the place and trying to make it more relevant/better. Definitely come give it a chance!

I’m in love with a barte… wait that’s not the right song! Carolina, Carolina, to’ mi pensamiento! Olvida el pasado para volver a empezar. That’s the song and also the name of the impressive bartender Carolina. Just got back from the bar and i was so amazed at how Carolina served like 200 drinks in half an hour when she got slammed and all with a smile and a great personality(while ppl. didn’t tip! like really??) I came for the wings but stayed for the show! I love when you get great customer service, it makes your whole experience so much better. Enough fawning. The wings were on point, mmmmm. I also ordered the chilli cheese fries and wondered where was the cheese(just a small sprinkle) and where was the rest of it, barely any fries on the plate, great for my diet… bad for my cravings. I’m not a frequent visitor to this bar but tonight’s vibe and crowd was fun so I’ll be back. I came the night before for trivia night but the music was so loud that the trivia guy had to be louder, it was sensory overload at 830pm on a Wed. I left after one beer. Tonight was loud as well. I like loud but not too loud that i have to raise my voice to talk to the person next to me, which I had to do.

Nice spacious bar… our favorite place to grab a drink on Fridays, right after exams or after finals. Was there today with friends after a hectic morning of advance engineering math and as always service was great with a relaxing atmosphere.

Waited a while for my burger but the bartender informed it was because they put onions. Cool specials for us CCNY students, $ 2 off drinks. They have board games too which is always great when you are drinking! Burger was small for the price, ordered Medium a bit overcooked but it was good. Bartender was nice Nothing spectacular, i’d give them another shot maybe when finals are stressing me

They have a jukebox and bathrooms are spacious, clean, well lit and have full length mirrors. Score! It was extremely empty when we strolled in a few minutes after midnight on a Saturday. Maybe 6 people? Drinks & service were ok but we were at the bar and didn’t order food. Nothing special so far. Maybe Friday night is better? I found it weird that the male bartender was encouraging patrons who were leaving to try the bar across the street(the grange). Not sure what potential this place has and maybe they don’t either.
