Best coffee in NYC to me but a bit bummed the second floor seating wasn’t open for public use. Downstairs probably seats about 15 ppl comfortably.

I am not a coffee ‘snob’ but I’m telling you this was somewhat akin to a Proust/madeleine experience. I was not prepared for the taste of their regular coffee or maybe it was the cappuccino but no matter, whatever it was that I had, I wished i could go back day after day. the price is right, you can sit down at a table, the surroundings are good and the people were interesting without trying to be so. A fair price for a great cup of joe

Woah. So impressed with this place. They flew through taking orders, no nonsensical waiting in line to order. When I had no idea what to get(being my first time), the young man taking orders asked 2 questions and then made a recommendation, which was on point. Plus, they have ice water you can serve yourself at the counter, which especially for summer, is perfect. I’ll definitely be back here.

I have my favorite spots for coffee. Gregory is most likely to be the most favorite, plus it is very close. I like the choice of almond milk, I usually get latte. I like their vegan bars; actually I tried to make it at home, wasn’t bad;) The service is always great.

Friendly baristas(does this end in a for women and men?) Line moves very fast(quicker than *bucks in my opinion) Clean working space if you have a computer and homework/studying to do. Can get crowded at peak hours as in you need to wait to get a seat at times. Have classes on how to make the best coffee, espresso, cappuccino, etc. Offer coffee gifts like thermoses(yes, I have one!), mugs with logos, bags of organic coffee with odd flavorings, and random baked goods.

Had excellent cortado yesterday. I can see the effort and care taken. Thanks! Really enjoy a good cortado, not scalding hot and no hint of bitterness and no sugar

Plenty of seating, blinding fast wifi, outlets at every seat, perfectly made single-origin aeropress. Coffee problem solved. UPDATE: It occurred to me after I posted this that I don’t know whether the high top tables have outlets. The tables near the windows have more outlets than I’ve seen at any coffee shop.

My friend raves about Gregory coffee all the time so I decided that I would go try. I went to the location near 34th street. I always get ice Americano at most coffee shops to see if they have a good balance between the espresso they use and the amount of water they add. This is also a good way for me to benchmark and test their espresso. The price was very fair at only $ 3 for small ice Americano. So let’s get on the coffee. The beans they use to make the ice americano is nice and dark with minimal sourness. It’s just the way I like it. Though I take a star away for the time they let my espresso sit before they finally added it into cup of ice water. Otherwise this is a much better option than the Starbucks across the street. Without a doubt if you find yourself debatkng between Starbucks and Gregory’s, its a no brainer to get Gregory’s. Unless u like bad coffee.

Good coffee(esp the drip coffee), with good pastries for sale. Also try their dirty chai which is espresso shots in chai tea latte. It’s a bit pricey but It’s good coffee with a good ambience. I liked the rustic, cozy feel inside. There’s plenty of seating and wait is never too long. Staff is friendly and pretty efficient. Free, self serve water is available. The locations is pretty convenient near herald square/pen station. It’s always clean in here, and bathrooms are on 2nd floor. I always come here for coffee when Im in the area.

Coffee first thing in the morning is a must and Gregory’s is the perfect response to my caffeine needs. I bought a simple black dark roast. The flavor was bold enough to wake me up and the aroma was like a warm blanket you didn’t want to leave. Sipping it this morning made my Tuesday just a little bit better and provided the necessary energy to take on the day. Not to mention their logo is amazing! It’s a great NYC coffee stop.

Every Gregory’s I go to is wonderful, and this is no exception. It’s a large and airy space, with plenty of high top tables and seating. The bathroom and general environment is clean. The staff are friendly and patient, even during the rush-hour slam. Plenty of gluten-free, vegan, and sinful snacks to satisfy any craving. The chex-marshmallow treat is a huge brick of yummy goodness, not very sweet and more cereal than marshmallow.

This was a fun place to stop while I was in New York! I loved that they offered multiple milk types, being from TEXAS you don’t see that very often at places. I got a dirty chai and it was really good! They had cute mugs for sale and fun knick-knacks with their logo on it. Which is one of the best logos I’ve ever seen. Multiple drink choices, fun frozen drink options and lots of baked treats! I take away 1 star, just because it was a little slow. They had three people there but only one was making the drinks. But it wasn’t ridiculous! I’d come back for sure next time!

Need a caffeine boost? Gregorys has got it. My office used to be around the corner and my coworker would suggest coming here every time we needed some caffeine. I always order my standard vanilla latte(sorry for being basic) and the coffee here really packs a bigger punch. I’m usually adding milk in my latte to offset the strong coffee taste. The cold brew is pretty good also. It’s worth paying up in this area for something quality. It can get a little crowded but the line moves quickly. Overall verdict: one of the better options in this part of Midtown but Culture still reigns supreme.

I had to decide Starbucks or Gregory’s which was basically across the street from each other and I chose Gregory’s. I purchased a Mocha Freddo which was my 2nd time trying and of course it was yummy but oh so expensive, $ 6.15 for a regular size. The workers weren’t cheerful or friendly, I felt like I was bothering them from doing their job. What a sad Friday lunch break with no thank you’s from them. Many customers were here enjoying the seating and drinks.

Had this really great and light on-the-go Swiss Oatmeal. It is essentially like overnight oats and had many great ingredients in it. Great for a quick breakfast.

Free Wi-Fi! Seating to relax, do work or chit-chat with your friends without feeling rushed Love the chai lattes here(and I’m picky about chai lattes). The place is a bit pricier than most place but you pay for the quality. After 6pm the baked treats are half-price off!

Early on a Saturday morning, excited to try Gregory’s for the first time on my way to Penn Station. Even from the exterior it was apparent this is a big venture posing as a labor of love. A little too polished. A little too big. Walking in, the morning’s shipment of milk and other supplies were piled up behind the counter, giving the place a disheveled look that runs completely counter to the clean, elegant presentation you’ll invariably find at any number of other NYC coffee roaster’s shops. The barista seemed annoyed that he had to work early on a weekend and demonstrated his displeasure nonverbally with sighs, and slamming the steaming pitcher on the counter. Naturally, focused on his own angst, he over heated the milk for my cappuccino, leaving me with a coffee marginally better than I would have found inside Penn Station, which arguably has the highest concentration of the worst food and drink of any location in Manhattan. I’m sure on other days or at other times, Gregory’s deserves the 4 star rating, but not this time.

We went here to warm up during a snowy day after already being at a Gregory’s in the financial district. I love the atmosphere, it seems to be the cooler equivalent to Starbucks and I especially loved that their Chai Latte is a real tea and not some water-milk-syrup mixture! We have to go back to try one of their baked treats, they all looked delicious!
