Food is decent, cocktails are awesome. came here for a friend’s birthday. We had the first floor to ourselves on a Friday evening which was awesome given we made last minute reservations.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon around 4 and it was completely empty. The décor is very nice(black and dark red which I love), and loud music was playing, but not like club music. We ordered the spicy salami pizza and the white pizza with the truffle oil and arugula(forgot what they were called). For the price(around $ 16 and $ 21, respectively) they were pretty disappointing, as I found them very bland. We also ordered the Alfredo which was good but not saucy enough, in my opinion. For $ 16, they gave such a tiny amount; it looked more like a starter than an entrée. I tried the tiramisu, and it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t spectacular. It had a little too much cream for my taste.

Absolutely delicious. We had delivery to our hotel and the driver arrived 15 minutes earlier than their estimate. We had Quattro Formaggi and Margeritha, both beyond delectable, especially with a nice Moscato. Would absolutely recommend to someone looking for high quality flavor.

What Forcella is: a pizza-focused, casual Italian restaurant with a nice ambiance in a two-story space on Park Ave. If you know this going in, and order one of the tasty pizzas to enjoy for dinner, you will be happy. The Montanara is unique(and tasty), as the pizza dough is fried in and then finished in the pizza oven for a light, airy crust with just the right amount of snap. Thankfully, it’s not overly greasy or oily, and because of the way it’s executed doesn’t leave you feeling too full or bloated. If you go to Forcella and order a pasta or piece of salmon, you may not find either particularly special, but that’s your own fault because you should be coming here for the pizza anyway. The servers were all nice and did a good job taking care of our party of 13 efficiently. My one qualm is that almost all of the cocktails were way too sweet, and I wonder if that just so happened to be the case that night or if they are consistently over-sweet. Either way, I would definitely go back for another one of Forcella’s pizzas.

Food was alright. Service was pretty okay too but what really annoyed me was that they slapped on a 20% tip on the bill and it was only for a party of 3? Sorry that’s unacceptable and the service and food was definitely not worth that 20% tip anyway. Will not be going back despite me living a block away.

My go-to pizza place in NYC. Shame the Bowery location closed, but they’re all legit. Ambiance: very cool. Stylish yet comfortable. Service: excellent and courteous. They were quick to answer my questions, provided wifi password and topped up our water without asking. Food came out very quickly. Food: our favourite Neapolitan style pizza in America. I had the Margherita with salad(lunch special) and she had one with Gazpacho soup. Both were delicious, cooked perfectly, even the soup and salad. Value: very good. Lunch specials are only $ 15 and there are plenty of choices.

DONOTEATHERE. We ordered two pizzas and one of them came barely cooked with the cheese barely melted. It had anchovies on it, but they only put 3 little strips on a personal pie. When you try to lift a slice up, everything falls off because it’s not cooked. I call the restaurant asking for another pizza, but they only give a refund. The manager said«I’m not going to make you another one because you’ll just call back and complain about it». Seriously? Just a horrible establishment.

This place has the running pizza crust is soft like dough and not crunchy whatsoeverthat tomato sauce runs off just like the cheese does and it’s basically a horrible pizza do not recommend it whatsoever There are 1 million other pizza restaurants in New York City which 100 times better

LOVE this place! I went here yesterday with 5 friends for brunch and we had the BEST time! Amazing food and amazing service. The waitstaff was super friendly and attentive. We all loved what we got! Awesome special too — $ 25 for unlimited drinks and any item off the brunch menu for 2 hours. They let you order from the lunch menu too, if you prefer. One friend got Nutella pancakes which were awesome, and the rest of us got different pizzas. The were NOT the least bit stingy with the drinks either… we never had an empty glass! He constantly kept the carafes full. Can’t wait to come back! This is definitely my new fav brunch spot in the city. Its not often you find a place with unlimited drinks that has amazing food.

Ok so I’m usually a Unilocal free rider, meaning I only read reviews but never post, but this place is so bad that I had write something. First the place looks really cheesy(more so than their pizza actually), like they tried really hard to make it look chic and modern, but instead it looks cheap and skanky, seems like they tried to save some money by not hiring a professional interior designer. Then there’s food, we ordered the octopus($ 15), house salad($ 7), a burrata($ 14), a spaghetti bolognese($ 21) and the milet mignon($ 33). The octopus was somewhat descent, although some pieces under undercooked. The salad was mediocre and did not look fresh at all, your local Chop’t has probably a better salad. The burrata was ok, just a white ball of cheese, you can’t fuck that up. The spaghetti was not freshly made and was not al dente, I’ve had better pasta at Olive Garden. The filet mignon was the ultimate proof of the mediocrity of this place, we ordered it medium and they bring us two sad looking pieces meat that were not only overcooked but they were also dry and tasteless, I hope at least it was beef. The service was descent, although I’ve never seen a waiter pouring the remainder of your glass of wine into a new glass of wine(!!) Case closed

Chewy medium crust pizza with nice mozzarella and a-ok wines. Mildly overbearing but well meaning bartender. Better end to a pretty rough day.

Went here for happy hour/dinner with co-workers. The restaurant is equal parts decorative and tacky, depending on your aesthetic tastes. It’s bigger inside than it looks from the outside. It was a nice surprise that they have a great happy hour! 2-for-1 drinks on the ENTIRE drink menu! Since their drinks are a little on the pricier side, this is really good to know. You’re allowed to mix and match drinks as well. My first drink was a blueberry vodka concoction that had muddled blueberries and it was delicious! I did a lychee martini for the second one and it was strong but good. We shared an order of arancini and a Montenara pizza. The arancini were small but pretty good, and I liked the salad that came with it. I’ve had better arancini, but they got the job done. The Montenara pizza was so yummy! I honestly couldn’t pinpoint where the«fried» part was, it tasted like regular pizza to me, but it was really really tasty regular pizza. Our other co-worker got a veggie burger and she enjoyed it. Service was friendly and relaxed and we had a great time. Looking forward to another happy hour!

The food here is every bit as good as the Brooklyn location, which is to say, it’s pretty much perfect. Here the prices are a little higher and the atmosphere is more upscale. This time I went with the hot salami pizza which was incredible. The sauce, crust, and toppings were perfect. The basil is incredibly fresh and adds tons of flavor — not like most places where the basil is more of an afterthought. The salami was similar to pepperoni but spicier. My favorite is still the Porto Capuana but this one was nearly as good. Forcella cooks in the authentic Neapolitan style, meaning their pizzas are cooked for less than 90 seconds at 800 degrees in a wood-fired brick oven. Neapolitan pizza is best enjoyed fresh out of the oven, so if you order delivery you may not experience the same type of mind-blowing, life-altering pizza perfection that you will get at the restaurant. You’ll have dreams about this pizza, it’s that good.

The first time I went to Forcella I was visiting NYC, then eventually moved here and came back a few times. I hate to say this, but the last few times I’ve been here it wasn’t up to par with the very first time. We always order the Grilled Octopus and the Parmesean/Truffle fries and the Decumani pizza(buffalo mozzarella, arugula, pecorino and truffle oil). The grilled octopus was not rubbery at all, but it was nice and tender. The Decumani pizza was good, especially because I love truffle oil and arugula and the truffle fries were nice and crispy. I have noticed that from the first time I came here, the portion size for the octopus has changed; they used to give you the whole tentacle but now they cut it up into pieces mixed with greens, tomatoes and I forgot what else drizzled in olive oil. The food here is great, would come back again.
