Five Guys Burgers and Fries

The burger was good, the toppings were not very generous, but they do serve you a great amount of delicious fries — half an hour in the gym won’t do. Overall good quality and price.

Oh goodness, I really need to go to the gym after this meal. It was like 2 cheat meals combined into one meal! I came here on a Monday afternoon during rush hour because I remembered how generous they were with their fries and was kind of missing the cajun fries.
It was pretty busy when I got here. The ordering line was short but lots of people waiting to get their order. The cashier, Joshua, was alright– a little on the rude side and made me feel bad because I didn’t know how to order. «cheeseburger vs little cheeseburger.» The food took a while to come out and it was pretty obvious why, they have one guy (poor guy) flipping patties for every single person! Doesn’t it make sense to have more than one person working that station? While everyone else is just standing around waiting for all the patties to be made.
20 minutes later, I get my food. The fries were a lot better than I remembered it to be. I ordered a medium and they gave me a medium cup and then extra fries were thrown in my bag. It really made my fries a large. so next time I will just get a small which means «medium.» The thing that really threw me off is how my cheeseburger has TWO patties and TWO slices of cheese! Guys, get the little burgers because this is just way too much. The buns they use to hold the burger together won’t make it to the end.

Cajun fries = heaven.

I recently moved to the States and one of the things I wanted to do when I came here, was to have a real American burger. Five Guys sufficed my desire. It was big, the normal order having two patties, the amount of toppings, which by the way are all free, was satisfying, and a small order of fries goes a long way. This to me a great American burger that can be enjoyed by the average person. If you cannot stomach a double patty, go for the small burger. I like Five Guys over Shake Shack. They win in size, taste, and toppings. And how can you not enjoy visits to Five Guys when they have an unlimited supply of peanuts you can eat while you wait!

Being a Cali girl from the west coat, I’m a diehard In-​n-​Out fan but decided to give the East Coast Five Guys a shot. Making a direct comparison is quite difficult since both have their own merits. Five guys works the traditional burger with a soft bun and the option of adding grilled mushrooms, tomatoes, bacon etc… that many other fast food places don’t have. However they would do well if they had a special sauce. Their fries are mediocre and on the fatter side which aren’t really my style since I usually go for the thin crispy ones. They also have peanuts to snack on while waiting for your food which is quite unique. Overall the food is fast, affordable, and decent for when you are hungry but didn’t quite live up to the hype.

Hier weden die Burger wirklich vor den Augen des Kunden frisch zubereitet. Man hat eine große Auswahl an Toppings, die alle im Preis inbegriffen sind.
Die Fries werden aus rohen, ungeschälten Kartoffel ebenfalls direkt vor Ort hergestellt. Zum Braten und Frittieren wird nur Erdnussöl verwendet. Diesen Unterschied schmeckt man wahrhaftig.
Preislich akzeptabel und lecker. Denn troffen die Fries und Burger vor lauter Fett. Das war mir dann doch ein wenig zu viel des Guten.

Five Guys burgers and Fires, first time I heard it, I thought, what a interesting name, it really got me wonder who those five guys were. I was just around the Rockefeller Center, after a long walk started to feel hungry, so decided to give this place a try.
How thing works in this fast food restaurant was quite new to me, they allowed me sort of design me own burger. there 5 – 6 different main style of burger, I picked the classic hamburger, after that, i could pick different topping (extra ingredient), such as grilled mushroom, tomatos these sort of thing. Some of them have to paid extra though. I also orders some Fries and a drink. They gave me a cup after my order, with that i could just pick whatever I want and fill it up in the machines near the entrance, it was a bit like in Mcdonload’s. And I could refilled it anytime I want, awesome. Right, this place is self-​service. I have to say the fries I had here, it was just amazing, one of the best places I have tired so far. As i heard they used peanut oil to make it. I know, it wasn’t that healthy, but it was kinda hard to say no, beside I don’t usually have them.
At the end, altought the place might look a bit like a cafeteria, it was really good. The price wasn’t expensive as well and people can have the food the way they want. For sure, this is fantastic place to enjoy great burgers and fries.

Five guys = un des meilleurs burgers de New York. La nourriture est faite sur commande et il né s’agit pas de steaks surgelés, mais de viande fraîche, juste délicieuse dans un burger après avoir été grillée. Si vous commandez un bon cheeseburger et le personnalisez à votre sauce, je né vois pas comment vous pourriez être déçus.

Came here on a dreary day before Christmas. The place was packed but my friend and I were able to find ourselves a table. The line was also pretty lengthy but the cashiers moved it along quickly.
I wasn’t particularly hungry this day so I just ordered a large fry to snack on. Perfectly salted and the right blend of crunch and squish, Five Guys fries hit the spot.
I always forget it’s here, which may not be a bad thing because they’re incredibly greasy.

Five Guys était une des adresses que je voulais absolument tester lors de mon passage à NYC. Et bien je n’étais clairement pas déçu ! On personnalise totalement son burger, les frites sont très bonnes (une petite frite convient largement) et boisson à volonté ! La salle est un peu petite mais l’expérience Five Guys est au rendez vous !

Massive burgers with 2 patties, cheese, and bacon for $ 9. Juicy but not greasy.
Amazing fresh fries with huge portions starting at $ 3 for a «small». The Cajun style is a must-​try.
No gimmicky crap like fried portobollos on top. No 30 minute lines out the door. No store brand crinkle cut fries. This beats the pants off Shake Shack any day.

The food was great which was to be expected — especially for the price ($ 11.63 for a single bacon burger and fries), but the service was subpar.
Venasia, the cashier, was very rude and aggressive. She appeared to have absolutely no tact or formal customer service training. She went back and forth with me about calling a single burger «little» versus a «single» which was silly. I’ve only been to this chain twice before, but even if I was a regular her means of getting me to «correctly order» went too far.

I had a full set… burger, fries and milkshake. Everything was delicious. The burger just melted in my mouth and the milkshake… WOW…the peanut butter milkshake was the best milkshake I’ve ever had.
I am so happy that they also have their brunches here in London!!! I can see myself going crazy and having a peanut butter milkshake with added bacon next time!!!

Really good burger. Better than Shake Shack. We got a bacon cheeseburger with everything to share, but I’m pretty sure I could’ve eaten the whole thing myself. It was really messy to eat, and they seriously stuffed it with mushrooms, onions, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sauce. It was juicy, seasoned well… Though maybe too salty for us.
Loved the fries. They were really hot, just out of the fryer, but I was so hungry, the ones on top were just cool enough to eat. Fresh cut, not too salty. Plenty for sharing.
$$ compared to your average burger but this beats any fast food burger any day. This might not be better than Shake Shack’s Shroom burger, but compared with their single or double Shacks, Id choose Five Guys.
It wasn’t crowded, decent amount of seating, free peanuts.

I like this place! Nice jucy Meat and cheese. And tasty fries! I also like the bun, its not to sweet. Im not at Big fan of some of the american burger buns, i Think they are to soft and to sweet, but this one is okay.

Five guys ist von der Qualität super lecker… die Pommes sind top, da sie immer noch nach Kartoffeln schmecken und ich finde es gut, dass man beim Burger die topings dazu wählen kann z. B mit Salat und Tomate und noch die passende Sauce dazu. Das Fleisch ist auch sehr gut, da es frisch ist sehr empfehlenswert wenn man mal was anderes als Burger King oder Mc Donalds probieren möchte

This Five Guys is super crowded and expensive! I ordered a little burger and little fries which costed $ 10. I waited over 20 mins for my burger, and they made it WRONG! They added pickles in my burger! I was too hungry to wait for another 20 mins, and I was already 2 plates of free peanuts in, I didn’t need anymore calories, so I didn’t complain.
The burger and fries were fresh and good as always. But only if my burger was made right…:(
I’d recommend ordering your burger online during rush hour, then come in 15−20mins later to pick it up.
Again, don’t forget the free peanuts!

How do you do it? What is this sorcery you use to make your delicious burgers and fries?
I am never disappointed stopping by FG. I like getting steak sauce and mushrooms as toppings and pleasing my inner carnivore when I am here.
The toppings are fresh, patty is juicy and delicious and right size, and the portion of the fries (get the seasoned ones) are so large you will either share them or end up feeding some to the local wildlife. Actually don’t do that. Never do that. Just bring a friend and gorge yourselves here.

So I have been hearing praises about this place and have always thought to myself that this would definitely be one of the first few places that I would check out when I get here. I wanted to know if it would truly live up to its reputation or if it was just a hype…
The money that you pay for, the calories that you’d have to burn after, the queues that you may have to endure prior to enjoying your burgers and friends, the fact that you may have to stand or wait around for a certain time just to get a table or decide to eat while standing, I tell you, it was worth all of IT.
If you want to treat yourself to one of the best burgers and delicious home cooked fries (considering I am not a potato person) in NYC, whether you’re visiting or a resident, this is THE place.
I don’t know about you but I’m on a mission to try their hotdogs next time! And perhaps the milkshakes too! The only dilemma is burning all those calories after. but hey, nothing worth having comes easy, they say! Enjoy! =)

The place is clean and very conveniently located for me to get fat by eating these greasy burgers and adding fries to this diet. Cut 1 star for that grease :)

Et pourtant… En entrant j’ai été un peu effrayée: atmosphère bruyante, une déco qui né paye pas de mine, bref, pas la joie !
Mais bon, on commande, bonne surprise les prix sont raisonnables, les garnitures gratuites (salade, tomates, cornichons, oignons grillés etc.), les boissons pas trop chères, du choix, du free refill, etc.
Après la commande, on attend au comptoir avant d’aller s’asseoir pour goûter tout ça. Le bilan: le cheese est terrible, les frites franchement bonnes pour des frites new yorkaises, les boissons originales (lemonade, iced tea, et les classiques).
En bref, je résumerais le five Guys par ces quelques mots: service impeccable, serveuses adorable, nourriture excellente et pour l’ambiance… Eh bien au final on s’y habitué et on prend goût à ce côté fast food typiquement américain comme on n’en voit plus ailleurs !

Probably the best burger I have ever had. Bacon cheeseburger. Extremely expensive, $ 9 for a burger but this is in NYC. So value pretty good, not great. Cajun fries were good, not as good as the burger. Powerade was watered down but after the burger and good fries, who the hell cares about the drink. Really good stuff here… will be back!

Been a fan of Five Guys for a while now, even before they came to NYC. Their signature peanuts and throwing shells on the floor has gone away here which I understand as to why. But you dont come here for peanuts right? Basically you get a choice of 3 burgers, regular, cheese, and bacon cheese. Then you can get creative with toppings, either all in red or all in black known all the way.
The standard way to get your toppings is called «All the Way» and comes with mayo, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, and mustard. Other condiments/​toppings available upon request are: relish, onions, jalapeño peppers, green peppers, A-​1 sauce, barbecue sauce, and hot sauce.
The fries here are very thick and tasty and they give you a huge portion. Soda I always skip on and opt for the water, but they do have iced tea in the machine.
You can also order online and come here to pickup as wait times can get lengthy especially during lunch hour. There are lots of tables available, and again if you come during the busy time you wont get one unless you’re lucky.
The AC was blasting here and it did not feel like a burger joint, but was very pleasant to sit down and enjoy my meal. I like this location a lot and will be coming here times and times again until my arteries are fully clogged from the grease and fat.
Typical lunch will run you $ 15 for bacon cheeseburger, soda or water, and fries.
Solid Lunch spot. 4 stars!

Un excellent burger avec une vraie ambiance fast food! Les burgers sont à tomber! Les topings au top et la cuisson aussi! Même Barrack Obama y mange de temps à autre dans cette chaîné de fast food peu chère mais qui n’a strictement rien a voir avec macdo!!!

Ce restaurant est fantastique ! Le concept est simple, on choisis nous même les ingrédients de notre burger ! De plus les frites sont exceptionnelles, elles sont cuites dans de l’huile d’arachides puis saupoudrées d’épices cajun, ce qui leur donnent un goût incroyable !

Le crédo de «Five Guys Burgers And Fries» est simple: après avoir décider de son type de burger, on choisi autant de toppings que voulu voir tous parmi une quinzaine de propositions.
C’est ce que j’ai fait hormis pour la mayonnaise. Résultat je me retrouve à la fois avec un mélange impressionnant comprenant entre autres salade, tomate, ketchup mais aussi des oignons et des champignons et trois à quatre sauces différentes.
Au visuel, je m’attendais au pire avec un mélange pas très attrayant mais finalement ça va, c’est vrai en revanche que ça n’a pas été très aisé à manger correctement. Qu’importe tout compte fait car la qualité est au rendez vous.
Pour les boissons c’est pareil, on choisi la taille du gobelet et c’est ensuite à volonté aux bornes de distributions automatiques. On peut donc très bien commencer par une boisson gazeuse, puis enchainer avec toutes les variétés proposés.
Une planque idéale pour rassasier son appétit sans trop avoir à dépenser.

This location is small but a good size with plenty of seating, good service & they keep the place clean.

Tolles Konzept, absolute Superqualität und der coolste Getränkeautomat der Welt !! Dazu kommt noch das extrem freundliche und geduldige Personal (wenn man sich nicht gleich entscheiden kann was man alles auf seinem Burger haben möchte). Als wir mal Vormittags 10 Minuten auf unsere Burger warten mußten, kam gleich der Geschäftsführer und gab und noch was aufs Haus aus. Der Besuch bei den Five Guys gehört zu jeden NYC Besuch !!!

Bester Burger aller Zeiten!
Unglaublich lecker und frisch. Das Fleisch schmeckt großartig und die ungeschälten French Fries sind spitze. Die Preise sind allerdings auch nicht ohne und wurden offenbar durch die steigende Beliebtheit der Kette regelmäßig erhöht. Trotzdem absolut zu empfehlen. Ist ja schließlich Urlaub :-)

Lecker Burger mit vielen Toppings! Geile Pommes, aus frischen nicht geschälten Kartoffeln! Cooles Greeting Board! Hausgemachte Erdnüsse zum Mitnehmen, for free!

Wirklich guter Burger den man sich nach Wunsch selbst zusammenstellen kann. Die Menge an Pommes ist abartig und lecker sind sie auch noch. Immer noch Fastfood, aber viel besser als McDonalds, Burger King oder Wendys.

Five Guys braucht es hinter dem Tresen um DEN Burger überhaupt zuzubereiten!
Meiner Meinung nach die beste Burger-​Franchise-​Kette überhaupt und mehrere Klassen besser, als die üblichen Verdächtigen, die aus Deutschland bekannt sind!
Burger wird absolut frisch zubereitet und kann mit allerlei kostenlosen Toppings kombiniert werden. Hier sollte eigentlich für jeden Burgerliebhaber das Passende dabei sein! Der Burger selbst ist zwar nicht immer perfekt anzusehen, schmeckt aber dafür umso besser und ist mit den Burgern von BK und McD’s nicht zu vergleichen, allein die frisch zubereiteten Patis machen einen großen Unterschied aus.
Nicht zu vergessen sind aber auch die Fries, die mit Schale fritiert auch sehr lecker sind. Die dafür verwendete Rohkartoffel ist mit Name und Herkunft als Info ausgestellt.
Getränke gibts hier auch noch als free Refill und rundet das absolut positive Rundumbild zusammen mit den mehr als fairen Preisen (Burger ab knapp fünf Dollar) ab.
Nicht umsonst räumt diese Kette reihenweise Preise für ihre Burger und Fries ab.
Absolute uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!
