Really tasty and healthy salad for lunch. Good quality ingredients. Great options. Perfect portion.

Went here when it first opened and wasn’t super impressed, but after coming back about a week ago I fell in love with the«Mo’ Miso» bowl the tempura crunch really makes it! I was also super happy when I found out they sell Greyston brownies and blondies. It’s cool to see a restaurant support awesome causes like this. Also the lighting for instagram is

Came back to this spot after trying it at an Elite Event. The line at lunch is crazy, but so is every other good spot in the area. They have lots of healthy options to choose from and they are quite filling. I prefer the bowls for lunch, but the sandwiches are also quite good. I recommend the Harvest sandwich or the healthy Kale salad — it all comes with chicken of course! Happy to see this place is still working its magic and bringing more healthy choices for lunch to the area.

I came here with a friend for lunch after work out. This place is the new trendy, healthy and organic café. I got the Country BBQ plate(Pulled Chicken), it tastes fresh and paired up really well with the veggies and brown rice, very delicious. My friend got the Cobb’s salad, she kept complains they give her way too much chicken, so that is a good problem to have. Overall, I like it better than Chipole.

Came here with a friend for dinner and reasoned that it was logical to get a whole chicken(with two small sides) to split between us. It only came out to about $ 24, which is $ 12 each, which is what a meal there would cost anyways. The chicken is delicious, soft, and flavorful. My friend and I were both surprised at how soft it was even though it sits in the warming oven, we thought it’d be dry, but it wasn’t at all. For sides, we got the black beans with corn and apple slaw. The slaw was refreshing and I would definitely recommend. This place has seating, but I imagine it’s packed around lunch time. Since we were eating in, they even gave us real plates to use. Very unexpected for a place like this. Overall, would recommend for lunch or dinner.

Order the whole bird, because it is juicy and delicious, but also because when they cook the parts separately, they start cutting it up when it’s still steaming, I’ve witnessed them doing this multiple times, which explains why – while the whole bird is delicious – the wraps and salads leave something to be desired, because all the flavor all gets left on the cutting-board. However, the sides are pretty good, I love the Brussels Sprouts & the Apple Slaw. Also, they really need to work on how employees communicate to one another, because, today, for example, even though we were the only group in line, there were five people behind the counter all of whom got our order wrong again and again, they gave us the wrong sauce, they gave us to go containers rather than plates for eating in, they gave us one small side and one large side rather than two large sides, they had to ask four different times if we wanted our chicken cut or whole, things kept getting passed back and forth from person to person because nobody seemed to know what was expected of them or how to do it, they billed us for a large bottle of water when we only bought a small, they ran our single form of payment three times because they were somehow confused that we were a group eating together(even though we placed only one order for one large combination platter), and the person behind the counter spent at least five minutes trying to explain why things were going wrong rather than just letting us go eat, and then, worst of all, while we were eating, the manager kept nagging at the employees very loudly about why not to put certain things certain places…

Another fast casual entry in this very crowded restaurant segment, Fields Good Chicken stands out because of their commitment to quality ingredients. My go to item is the Cobb salad($ 11.25) — it is always delicious and has the same ingredient list that goes into a traditional cobb — deliciously moist grilled chicken(it is amazing here), romaine, tomatoes, a whole sliced egg, fresh avocado, bacon, tangy blue cheese and a tasty white balsamic vinaigrette. It’s delicious every time I’ve had it. For dinner one can order a whole chicken and two large sides for $ 27.25. Although not a steal of a deal, the chicken is always very, very good and will serve two people just fine. You do get to choose from one of their sauces, but they’re unnecessary and frankly the BBQ is just not good. The side items, $ 3.25 for a small and $ 6.25 for a large a la carte, are ok but for the price I’m not sure the value is so great. The two sides I like are the black beans with grilled corn, which is the kind of salad you might see at a summer picnic and quite tasty while the white beans could use a little flavor pick me up. The rosemary potatoes are pretty lame and are usually overcooked with burnt rosemary leaves throughout. Even after being open for a while there are still service problems. The open kitchen layout exposes all the weakness of this type of restaurant when not managed properly and Fields Good Chicken has yet to address and solve the following issues: chronically running out of food items(including chicken!!!), unprofessional chit chat between team members, and a kitchen and dining room that look less than pristine. The lunch crush makes this tiny place packed very quickly and you will likely need to carry out your food during peak times since seating is very limited Speaking of time, if there is a line of more than 15 people you may spend up to 25 minutes getting through it, which is not particularly ‘fast.’ For now I’m going to keep visiting Fields Good Chicken for dinner when I’m craving a delicious cobb salad, which is pretty often these days — I’m just hoping they don’t run out of chicken before 7:30PM.

I probably eat lunch here once a week. I get a half chicken with side of brussel sprouts and side of black beans and corn. OMG it is so good and filling as well. Honestly, it could have a long line but is so worth the wait fresh ingredients and great food, what more can one ask for.

Prices have skyrocketed. Also they use to let you swap out fixings for other fixings… as if you don’t want the nasty appleslaw(why would you) and you want to exchange it… for another fixing… they charge you. That doesn’t make my chicken feel so good. I’m done. Will not be returning when you can go to chipolite where it’s cheaper.

Very, very delicious option for lunch. my favorite the Bueno bowl, which is made of the grilled mojo chicken(gluten-free), guacamole, black beans, tomato, and brown rice. It’s basically a trendy and healthy version of chipotle. The majority of the ingredients just tasted standard, nothing extraordinary but delicious nonetheless. What’s really memorable is the chicken! It was so soft, juicy and flavorful. The Bueno bowl is also slightly spicy so perfect for the spice-lovers out there! I’ve also tried the Zeus bowl. For me, the main difference between the Zeus and the Bueno is that one has Greek yogurt and the other has guacamole. Also ordered a side dish of Brussels sprouts! I am traumatized by the bland Brussels sprouts that I’ve eaten all my life in school, so I usually have nothing good to say about Brussels sprouts, but these one were actually very well flavored! I would recommend it. If you’re hungry but want to be slightly more healthy, the salads are actually very filling, in particular the Cobb Salad. While I wouldn’t say the Cobb is the healthiest of all salads(I mean, it has blue cheese and bacon…), it still has greens, avocado, and egg whites! Basically(almost) healthy but cheating a little bit. The line can get a bit long during lunch(literally out the door) so if you’re in a rush, try to get hear before or after the peak 12 – 1 time! I would say this is definitely the best healthy lunch option I’ve had in FiDi.

Had the Bueno Bowl. The chicken here is DELICIOUS: tender, juicy, just the right level of sauce and savoriness. There were also black beans, diced tomatoes, brown rice, onions, and guacamole in the bowl-these items were all good, but nothing out of the ordinary. This place is like a higher quality, more gourmet version of Chipotle(with a shorter line and MUCH better chicken). Definitely a good lunch spot!

I’m almost never down in FiDi for lunch, but my sister works there and I needed a lunch recommendation. She said Fields is good, but the lines are long. She was correct on both counts. The line looped around three times, but it moved quickly(they do assembly line style for putting together your bowls). You place your order with the guy in the front, walk down to the other end, and then pay. Easy peasy. I went with the Country BBQ chicken bowl. Because why would I not want to make a rice bowl unhealthy with cheddar cheese? The bowl itself wasn’t humongous(a little less food than Chipotle), but it was filling, especially with the brown rice and beans. The chicken and BBQ sauce it was in was great too. It fell apart on my fork. I like their atmosphere and their philosophy(of «healthy» fast casual food). Could do without the lines, but hope to see them in my neck of the woods one day!

Came here for an Elite Event and got to try the bueno bowl. It was out of this world good! Such great flavor. They do an assembly line format similar to Chiptole, but the flavors are very different. Would highly recommend this place for a filling healthier meal. The philosophy of this place makes it even more appealing! Owned and started by a banker turned pro biker turned restaurant owner. Staff was great and friendly, seemed to really value the feedback of customers. Highly recommend trying this place! Would come back if I’m in the area.

The Bueno bowl is AMAZING, with a massive serving of delicious guac on top. The half-chicken is where it’s at, though. You will be full and happy happy happy. This is probably the healthiest option in the area, and a very cool concept/change from Chipotle or the salad chains nearby. It is a smidge on the pricey side, but the servings are generous and the chicken is from a quality source in upstate NY. Also, if you work around here, you are probably either rolling in the dough as a banker or else expensing your meals, so either way you should just do it and get your chicken on.

Amazing!!! Fields welcomed us with opened arms and we got to sample their delicious food! The concept is simple — you chose a wrap, a salad or a rice bowl with a theme and it comes with chicken. I love it! The best part is that the chicken is ethically raised, hormone free, humanely treated and it comes from a happy farm upstate. If one is to eat poultry, it should be that way. I had a brown rice bowl with beans and BBQ chicken topped with cheese. Hubby had a wrap with bacon and pulled chicken. We also shared the roasted Brussels sprouts and the rosemary sautéed potatoes –delicious. Simple, healthy and have I said delicious?! I am loving the concept, the health and the ethics behind this place. The food is succulent, the price is fair and you feel like you are eating what really«feeds» you. Great job, Fields! Can’t wait to see your concept expand :)

many people say that chicken is boring, but those people must not know how to cook. It’s lean, offers health benefits, can be fatty or lean depending on how it’s prepared. It is a great canvas for both subtle and strong seasonings with the added benefit of soothing colds. my 5 stars comes from the food being delicious, healthy(it’s not a cold pressed juice but the stuff is quality and did not weigh me down), and filling for the price. i’m painfully aware of trying to have a balanced diet, working out, since i have various gym/sport injures and trying not to balloon in weight. I’ve tried dig inn, and feel like they’ve completely gone downhill(option wise as well as execution) but still make bank because of location and their market is not saturated(yet). I am so glad i got to join a Unilocal event to try out this chicken! I’m often highly skeptical of roasted chicken due to the sadness inducing dryness of most preparations. When i tried the half chicken; my first bite had to come from the breast; as that’s where judgement will ultimately fall. i was so relieved that it was moist and the chicken did not taste fatty. By using a ‘combi’ oven; it uses steam to help cook the chicken. Note: this means the skin is not crispy(or maybe just when i had it), but the fat was rendered out; to the point that i ate some parts of the skin without feeling guilty. seasonings wise; the flavor is great and strong to the point where you would not call it bland. i think it was a touch salty; but that’s because i’m sensitive to it. For sides, i tried the shaved veggies with sesame and the slow cooked white beans. the veggies were light, with just enough flavor to be okay. pretty solid variety of vegetables, unlike most places where they just put in cabbage or cucumber. the slow cooked white beans were delicious, but reminded me more of soup. if you get this, maybe eat it with some crusty bread. they have a pretty nice selection of drinks(bruce cost ginger ale!), with teas and healthier options. a meal combo of ½ a whole chicken + 2 sides came out to be around $ 15, but it’s enough for two small/med sized meals. owners were fun, super sweet, and willing to explain and shed more light into their food. give them a chance in a sea of food chains and over priced bad food(FiDi). I would like to lobby for a flatiron/union square location please!

I attended a Unilocal Elite event at this great spot! We met the owner, Fields and he’s such a nice and down-to-earth guy. We had the chance to get one drink and try anything on the menu! I tried the Bueno Bowl — boy oh boy, I loved it! It comes with brown rice, beans, tomatoes, guacamole, and chicken(with this banging sauce). The chicken was still very juicy and tender and the sauce made it 100 times better. The rice and beans were nothing special, but you definitely can’t eat without it. The guacamole was perfection. I can’t describe my love for their guac — I wish I can make up a word to describe how wonderful it was. I will definitely be returning to try the other things on their menu. I didn’t really enjoy the sides though — we tried the brussel sprouts, potatoes, and cole slaw. I think I’ll just stick with the chicken and guac. As we left the event, they gave out a bag of truffle parmesan popcorn. I’m not sure if it was just for the event or if they actually sell it. But if they do sell it, PLEASEGETIT. Best flavored popcorn evaaaaa! The place looks super cute, with chicken feet stickers on the floor to guide you to the lines. It’s not a huge place so I’m sure it’ll fill up during lunch time. I just wish it wasn’t so far from my office or I’ll be having it everything for lunch. It is a bit on the pricey side but so worth it! Definitely give this place a try, lunch, dinner, or whatever!

If you want fast healthy yummy food, Field’s Good Chicken is the place to go! They have antibiotic free chicken, freshly produced with quality ingredients. I find it hard to find Reasonably priced Healthy food, but I was pleasantly surprised after visiting Field’s Good Chicken. Not only is it a healthy option, but the prices are comparable to other unhealthy fast food options. Half Chicken $ 12.65 So tender and delicious! For what you get, I feel like this is priced incredibly reasonably. FGCBBQ Wrap $ 9.50 Shredded chicken with delicious sauce. Wrap is good sized with a large portion of meat. Bueno Bowl $ 9.75 Apparently this is one of their more popular options, the chicken is fantastic, has amazing flavor and is very tender! I like how there is a good portion of meat(when a lot of places will give you more starch and less meat). I am very picky when it comes to meat as I think most meats are very processed, are too fatty and overall unhealthy, but Field’s Good Chicken does a great job of bringing out the juicy tenderness of the chicken without making it taste super greasy and unhealthy. They only have chicken options, but they do chicken well(which I guess was their point on focusing on one type of meat). If I worked in this area, I would definitely be a regular here. Would recommend to others, to offices for catering and will definitely be back!

*** Highly recommend, Friendly staff, DELICIOUS food *** Oh my god. The Country BBQ bowl is OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. I opted to add bacon bits to it too and that was just the icing on the cake. I also tried their roasted potatoes and brussel sprouts sides. Not only is the chicken so juicy and flavorful, but it’s also fresh! I SOSOSO recommend trying this place out. Price-wise it’s a little bit on the expensive side, but the quality of food makes up for what you pay. Overall, I would totally come back here and I really hope that they open other locations around the city!
